Tamil was perhaps the first language into which Ali Sina’s book ‘Understanding Muhammad’ was translated. That was the Tamil translation of the first edition of the book, which was published in 2008. After that, there were five more editions of the book in English, with the sixth edition being the latest edition, which was made available for free download by Ali Sina from July 2016 onwards. Each new edition was more complete than the previous edition, with the last edition being the most complete.

The latest edition of the book has now been translated into Tamil. To distinguish between the Tamil translation of the first edition and that of the sixth one, the title is explicitly stated as ‘Understanding Muhammad (Tamil) Sixth Edition by Ali Sina’. Tamil is the native language of Tamil Nadu State and Puduchhery Union Territory of India and is the first language of at least around 75 million people. Tamil is also spoken as a second or third language by at least 8 million other speakers in various areas. Tamil is also the first language of many in Sri Lanka.

No Muslim who has read this book in full has remained a Muslim even after reading it in full, says Ali Sina. Every Muslim who has read it has left Islam. This book is available in English, in Arabic, in Urdu, in Indonesian, in Bangla, in Hindi, in Kannada and in Malayalam along with Tamil.
