Why burn the world when we can make it a Paradise?

Ali Sina responding to American writer Terrence Robertson's message

Dear Terrence,

Thank you for your message. You are a powerful writer. Being a passionate person myself, I thoroughly enjoy the way you express yourself. I agree with you and understand your rage. I am afraid this is what seems to be the inevitable destiny of mankind. I do have the same nightmares that you have and that is why I quit my job to dedicated myself to this cause. I do not say that I can, but I want to try and if possible avoid this biggest disaster that is looming over our heads. I see destruction everywhere. I see death, not by thousands but by millions and millions. Some of my readers comment that I am courageous. Little they know that I am scared to death. I fear the future that may never exist.

Unfortunately your warning to the Muslim world is not going to be heard. Ohmyrus explained why in his article Islam’s Warriors Looking for Saladin.

The brainwashed Muslims are unable to think rationally and rather they believe the stupid lies that Muhammad concocted, that angles will come to their succor and if a handful of them face the enemy ten times more powerful than them, Allah and his angels will render them victorious. They actually believe that the angels will wage war and cut the heads of the enemy, like Muhammad told them it would happen. Yes, in Islam even angels are murderers.

The fear of MAD (mutual assured destruction) kept the war at bay for almost 50 years. But then the enemy was not a fanatical religious nutcase. They were people who could think rationally and they loved to live. But this time you are facing brain damaged creatures that celebrate death and seek martyrdom. They are incapable to realize that this war would destroy them completely. They are insane because they hold an insane man as a prophet. With communists, you had people who shared your values. They believed in life. They believed in happiness and prosperity. They strived to improve their existence in this world. Their values were the same as yours. But their ways were different. Once they realized that their ways are not going to take them to their promised land, they abandoned those ways on their own. But because their values were the same as yours, because they cherished life, they feared confrontation and the threat of MAD stopped them from blowing up everything.

However, this time you are facing an enemy whose values are distinct from yours. You celebrate life, but their highest aspiration is death. It would have been nice if those who love so much to die just committed suicide and let others live in peace. But alas that is not how they see it. They want to kill you first. It is only by killing that they can attain their celestial destiny and gain the pleasure of their Lord.  This is total madness, but you have to realize that Muhammad was insane. This is the problem that all of us must face.

On one hand the West is too quick to condemn the terrorists and on the other they stop short to criticize the ideology that breads these terrorists in the first place. The President Bush, in one minute attacks the Islamic extremists and in the next he calls Islam a religion of peace. Has Mr. Bush studied the Quran? Does he know anything about Islam? By what authority does he make such theological statements about the nature of Islam?  What is his qualification to pass such judgments? The whole media echoes the same nonsense and a host of western apologists, some paid, and some out of sheer ignorance fill the air with utter lies and shield Islam from criticism. In a few western countries the idiocy is such that sometimes criticism of Islam could push you into very turbulent legal waters.

This must change. The West must awaken first and realize that this terrorism has an ideology. It is this ideology that must be attacked and destroyed if we want to destroy the terrorism.

I understand your frustration and ire when you talk about nuking them all. This is what I dread most. I see the world is heading to a precipice like a drunkard elephant and here I am desperately trying to stop it.  When you say, nuke them all I see children being incinerated. I hear them cry. I feel their pain. I see their terrorized faces. I smell their burning flesh. I see death by millions. This is my recurring nightmare. This is what keeps me awake through the middle of the night and makes me write. To me life is sacred. All lives are sacred. Whether it is American, Persian, Iraqi, Hindu, Jew or Muslim. These are all names. In our core we are all humans. What keep us apart are our false beliefs. Let us start demolishing these beliefs first. We may never have to nuke each other after all.

People are sacred; beliefs are not. This is my message. I quit everything to dedicate myself to the spread of this message. If I succeed, no one will remember me. As if I care! But if I fail humanity fails. So many lives will be lost that those who survive would envy those who died.

My voice is weak, my message is not welcomed and I am politically incorrect. I am being censored in many Islamic countries and shunned by the big boys in the western media. The whole world is so cautious not to hurt the Muslim’s sensibilities. Yet they do not discard the possibility to nuke them if they follow their religion and kill the infidels as their god has ordered them. What insanity is this?  I say damn with their sensibilities, let us save their lives. It is like saying don't take that loaded gun from the child because he would throw a tantrum. But don't worry I will shoot him if he points the gun at us. Why I fail to see the logic of this argument?

Muslims think I am their enemy. Yet I am the best friend they have. I ask them for nothing. I do not tell them to assassin my opponents as Muhammad did. I do not tell them to murder their fathers and brothers for my sake as Muhammad did in the battle of Badr. I do not ask them to wage wars, to kill, to loot and give me 20% of the booty as Muhammad did. I am not after a harem of voluptuous teenagers like he was. I do not ask them to obey me and love me more than their own lives and their parents as that evil narcissist did. All I want is to make them see that Muhammad was no messenger of God but a sick man who lied to gain control over a bunch of ignorant Arabs and everything that he said, his Allah, his heaven and his hell are all lies; meant to scare them, to fool them and to dominate their lives.

But today Muslims are facing their own extinction. Some nutcases among them have decided to follow up the dreams of the grandiosity of that sick man. They foolishly believe in all Muhammad’s lies. They believe that his imaginary Allah will render them victorious. They are poised to blow up the world because they believe in this mad man’s lies. They are absolutely sure that what they do is what God wants them to do. They are convinced that at the end they will win because the maker of this universe will come to their assistance. All Muslims believe in this lie. Whether they are terrorists or they are not, they all share the same common belief. In the back of every Muslim’s mind, your Muslim neighbor, your Muslim co-worker, your Muslim taxi driver, there is this belief that one day he has to take a sword and force you to submit to Islam and cleanse this world from the unbelievers, the sinners, the homosexuals, and the kafirs.  If he does not believe in that, is because his faith is weak and he does not believe in Islam fully.

The time is slipping away from our hands and little is being done. The whole world is hard at work to preserve this lie, lest we hurt the sensibilities of the Muslims. But this lie is a dangerous lie. Preserving it could cost millions, if not billions of lives.

I have a simpler, a better, a cheaper and a more humane solution. Why no one is listening? If we reach the Muslims in time, if we tell them the truth, millions of them will eventually leave this dangerous and crazy cult and the big pending catastrophe can be averted. Believe me it works. At first there will be some resistance but truth always wins. It is the naiveté of the President Bush and other westerners like him who think Islam is hijacked by a few extremists. Islam is not hijacked. Millions of Muslims are supportive of Osama bin Laden and he is their hero. Terrorism is part of Islam; it is the message of Islam; it is the soul of Islam. Look at Iran. Those Iranians who are still Islamists are still terrorists. But those of them who have realized that Islam is a hoax, not only pose no danger to anyone but are stretching their hands to squeeze yours, are building the broken bridges, are hoisting the standards of friendship, want to work alongside with you. They cry in your sorrows and rejoice in your happiness. Do you believe that some Iranians celebrated the 4th of July? Why do you think they did that? Because they wanted to thumb their nose at the Islamic thugs ruling over their land. There is a huge difference between those who are Muslims and those who are not: the difference between the enemy and the friend.

I do not want to see people die. I do not want to see Americans burn in tall buildings nor Muslims be nuked. All I am asking is for a chance. Give me a chance and give me the means to demolish this false belief and I will give you a billon friends, a billion allies. I will give you peace, a lasting peace. No more wars, no more hates, no more fears, no more tears. When building is so easy, why destroy? When making this world a paradise is so simple, why make it a hell. Why burn it? Why burn it? Why?

With warm and kind regards

America must help Islamic countries to reclaim their own past

This is Ali Sina's second response to Terrence Robertson. Mr. Robertson's second message, at his own request, is not published.

Dear Terrence,

Thank you again for your fight. Please promote our site in anyway you can. This message must be heard. I know America has some radios reaching the Middle East. Although I think this is something positive, I doubt they really know what kind of message people there, need to hear. Last I heard they were thinking to promote American culture and named Jennifer Lopez and the other sexy teenager American pop music icon (Gosh now you know how much I am into this stuff that I do not remember even the name of that pretty diva).

I shook my head at this much naiveté. As far as I know. The young boys and girls in Iran, although do not mind American pop music, what they really yearn for is to find their own lost identity. After 1400 years of Arab/Islam domination and cultural alienation. What the Iranian young generation wants more is to find its own roots. They are glued to the Iranian TVs and radios broadcasting from LA via Satellite listening to Iranian historians such as Bahram Moshiri and Naser Engheta who talk about the Iranian history, the Arab invasion and the Iranian language. What boring subjects! But lo and behold, it is the Iranian youngest generation that devours these programs.

I appreciate the intention, but I really question whether the American politicians know how to approach and win over the youth in Islamic countries. They will not become American lovers after they become hamburger eaters and coke drinkers. If really America wants to help these people and win their trust and friendship, she must elevate their own native cultures and pump up their own identity vis-à-vis the Imposed Islamic barbarity. They have to be weaned from Islam and feel proud for who they are. To impose its own indoctrination, what Islam did is to humiliate them and their cultures, to the extent that they loathed their own ancestral culture and called it “the age of ignorance”. Recall the Taliban's destruction of the statute of Buddha in Bamian. At the beginning of the Iranian revolution, the statue of Ferdowsi, the Dante of Paris language was dragged down from its pedestal and Khalkhali, the butcher of thousands of Iranians drove tanks to Persepolice to erase that site, which was already demolished by Alexander 2500 years ago. It were the population of the nearby villages who stood in front of the tanks and impeded the destruction of this archeological jewel.  What Islam does is to make people despise their own culture, heritage and nationality. It humiliates everything to establish itself as the only alternative. Doesn't it amaze you how the Pakistani and Indian Muslims despise Hindu religion, Hindu people and Hindu temples? This is their own root that they hate so much.

Today what is needed is the reversal of this cultural alienation. People in Islamic countries must feel proud for who they are so they stop clinging to Islam for their identity. Implanting Americanism instead of Islamism is a lost contest. First of all, after centuries of Islamic domination, Muslims have developed a Stockholm syndrome kind of love for Islam. Americanism is an alien culture to them. Americans have their own spiritual heritage. Fast food and Madonna is not their culture. It is the facade. But when you brandish these glitters without making them understand what makes America, America, you are giving a very misleading message. The lure of Americanism in Islamic countries is short lived. Soon they will look for something more meaningful than Hollywood and MacDonald. Islam offers them afterlife. In its skewed way Islam gives them otherworldliness. That is why people gravitated towards Islam in the first place and that is why Islamism is gaining ground even in the West. What concerns me is that in their shortsighted effort to export American popular culture, they end up alienating those whom they want to win, even more. Thus pouring more water to Islam’s mill.  America would do much better by helping the local people who believe in the higher American values such as its constitution, its first amendment and its democracy to convey these messages to their people in their own language. This costs less and is far more effective.

To combat Islam, America must not try to impose its own, often perceived as a decadent, culture in Islamic countries. This will backfire. The Iranian Islamic revolution was in part a revolt against Americanism. It was in part to stop the invasion of Hollywood. America must help these nations to rebuild their own autochthonous cultures, revive their own original identities. Be proud for who they were before they lost their selfhood to Islam. We Iranians are on the right track. We are digging out our own past, dusting it and cherishing it once again after it was trampled, scorned and discarded by Islam. The surge in our nationalistic sentiment has nothing to do with racism. Iranian nationalists are very much humanists and especially pro Americans. Our nationalism is our expression of rebellion against Islam. When Iranians do not greet each other with the traditional “salam” but instead after 1400 years have started to greet each other the way their pre Islamic ancestors used to do it and say “dorood” when they meet or say goodbye, they are tacitly but loudly saying, enough with Islam, long live Iran.

I understand your views about the position of the President Bush re Islam. I actually agree with his approach and think he is doing a fine job. My criticism of him was not actually directed at him and his policies but mainly at the media and the brainwashed western apologists.

I thank you again for all you do. Keep up the torch burning. The break of the day is very near.

With kind regards

Drood
