Guest: Abul Kasem

Earlier I had the pleasure to interview
Nonie Darwish and ask her about her views on terrorism, what causes it and
how we should deal with this threat. Today my guest is our dear friend Abul
Kasem. Abul Kasem is originally from
Bangladesh
. He has seen the brutality of Islam in his own homeland, during the war of 1971
when the Pakistani forces backed by Islamic decree invaded
Bangladesh
and went on a killing, looting and raping spree massacring three million
Bangladeshis, especially the intellectuals and raping nearly 250,000 women. (The
number could be higher. This is what is reported). Abul Kassem was a university
student at that time and recalls how his dorm was raided and many students and
professors were butchered. He was spared only by luck. Abul Kasem is a
university professor of physics and resides in Sydney Australia. He uses a
pseudonym.

Why Muslims dislike and distrust the non-Muslims?
The Qur’an teaches
Muslims not to be friendly with the non-Muslims or to trust them (3:28, 4:139,
4:144, 5:57). It also advocates that
the non-Muslims are the associates of Satan (4:77) and warns of severe
punishment to those Muslims who try to be in affable terms with the non-Muslims
(5:80). A Muslim convert must not be in congenial terms even with his non-Muslim
parents (
9:23
) and he is free to murder his parents and kindred (58:22) if they criticise the
convert’s new faith. The Qur’an says that the non-Muslims are open enemies
of Islam (4:101, 60:1, 60:13). Muslims are commanded to be harsh and ruthless
with them (9:73, 48:29, 66:9), to terrorise them (
8:12
), to humiliate them (
9:29
), to make war on them (2:216, 9:123) and to murder them wherever they are found
(9:5).
A true Muslim must
follow the Qur’an in complete. Therefore, it is obligatory for him/her to
dislike and distrust the non-Muslims. It is the Qur’an which is responsible
for such unbound hatred.
Why they think of us as enemy when we have no feeling of enmity
towards them?
Please refer to the
previous answer. Even when the unbelievers harbour no enmity or dislike towards
the Muslims, they (the Muslims) must not take the unbelievers as friends and
allies. The infidels’ unbelief (that is, their refusal to convert to Islam) is
the main reason why Muslims must hate them. Refusal to convert to Islam in
itself is considered as an act of hostility and oppression. That is why
non-Muslims are open enemies of Islam—nothing, not even their good intentions,
could render them friendly towards the Muslims.
What are their grievances?
No one knows. I doubt
if Muslims could ever list their genuine grievances. All we hear are:
Palestine
,
Afghanistan
,
Iraq
,
Kashmir
,
America
, the West, the Jews, the Hindus, CIA, FBI, Sharon, George Bush, Tony
Blair…..and so on. But theses are just alibis to continue with Islam’s
eternal struggle with the infidel world. Even when
Palestine
problem was not there, when there was no
America
, no George Bush and no Tony Blair, Islam was still at war with the entire
world. Countries, like
Bangladesh
,
Indonesia
and
Egypt
have no troops fighting in
Iraq
. Yet these countries are heavily infested with Islamist terrorists. We often
learn that these terrorists bomb clubs, hotels, motels pubs, entertainment
centres, cinema houses, shrines, public meetings, open air stages, theatres and
so on. These examples clearly demonstrate that Islamic terrorism has nothing to
do with
Iraq
or
Afghanistan
war, but has everything to do with Islam itself. The Islamic history is replete
with episodes after episodes of such wars, utter death, indiscriminate
destruction, forced annexation and unprovoked attacks on infidel lands. I can
bet that when George Bush and Tony Blair will be gone Islam will still be at war
with the rest of the world.
On 17th August,
2005, the Islamist group, Jamiatul Mijahidin of Bangladesh (JMB) had detonated
around 400 bombs across entire
Bangladesh
(out of 64 sub-districts, 63 have been affected) within an hour’s time. In
history, this is probably the largest number of bombs detonated by any terrorist
group in such a short span of time. Two persons have been killed and around 200
people injured. JMB justified their cause by quoting the Qur’anic verses 4:60,

Killing, assassination,
terrorism, bloodshed are the DNA codes of Islam. Even if the whole world
converts to Islam, the true Muslims will continue perpetrating bloodshed. The
best example is
Pakistan
, where 97% of the population is Muslim, yet there is bloodshed even among the
Muslims—like the Sunnis killing the Shias and the Ahmedis. In
Bangladesh
, the so-called moderate Muslims are fighting the Ahmedi Muslims. I doubt even
Allah knows what the Muslims’ grievances are!
What do these Muslim terrorists want?
The correct answer is:
They want to convert the entire world into an Islamic “
Paradise
”. There is no surprise in this. During his days, Muhammad had asked the
Muslims to terrorise the world until Islam rules supreme (3:85, 5:3,
5:33
). Qur’an exhorts the Muslims to keep fighting (with swords, not spiritually)
until they perfect the world through Islamic purification and domination (
9:33
). In reality, it means imposing on the non-Muslims (or the non-Arabs) the
Arabic and Bedouin culture (also known as Islam) by force, murder and terrorism.
Even Caliph Umar had admitted that Bedouins are the raw materials of
Islam (reference: History of the Arabs by Phillip K. Hitti). In short, we may
say that Islam is really about Arab chauvinism and supremacy. Now that some Arab
countries have become rich through oil money, it is time for them to export and
impose globally, through any or all means, their language, culture and religion,
that is, Islam, even if this means financing terrorism. The world must realise
that the current war is really a war of culture, values and civilisation--a war
between the Arab-Islamic culture and the non-Arab/non-Islamic culture. This war
was waged before, from time to time, and it is being waged again. History is
just repeating itself.
