The Power of Faith
Hi Ali Sina,
I had a correspondence with you I believe a couple of weeks ago, and you subsequently published my email on your website. I have been digging deep into your debates and email correspondences with devout Muslims, and to my surprise I find the Muslim responses to be rather insulting, ill logical and filled with stupidity. Instead of addressing the issue and debating the topic they mostly exaggerate how great Prophet Muhammad and Islam is without a base and degrade FFI rudely. I believe the reason is our suppressed Islamic brains can’t fully see both sides of the coins because of the blind belief that every word of Quran is literally true and the Islam way is the supreme way. This belief is what gives rise to the obnoxious supremacy and boisterous attitude we Muslims have and doesnt give Islam the chance to evolve and change with time. Unfortunately because of this many Muslims are still living in the dark ages.
The more I research on religion and read on my own, the wiser and “enlightened” I become. After seeing the point of view of critics of my religion and seeing the other side of the coin, everything just naturally starts to make sense. I must also say that leaving my Islamic home country and coming to USA also made it easier for me to get out of my own shell and take a broader perspective of things.
I wouldn’t honestly say that I have left Islam or I am an apostate, but thanks to you I definitely have gotten more open minded and questionable about religion instead of living in a blind faith and delusional world.
Now this is what I would like to do for others, especially my close ones and also to the Muslims at large. Instead of blind faith, I would want all Muslims to know the complete picture of Islam and the whole personality of Prophet Muhammad and use their own common sense to reason and decide for themselves what they want to believe and follow through rational thinking.
The problem like I see is that majority i.e 99% of the Muslims are unaware of the charges put forward on Prophet Muhammad and how many of the Islamic teachings are savage to our modern sensitivity. So for this cause I would like to volunteer for you in spreading your articles and ideas to other Muslims. It would be a fulfilling job for me to do something for the humanity and help in shaping the future for a more enlightened world. I would like to start with my family, but as being a family of Muslims I am afraid of the consequences of showing anti Islamisim. I feel pity when my parents pray diligently, read quran without knowing its meaning , fast for 30 days and suffer in the name of Allah as a duty imposed to them for being born as a Muslim, instead of questioning and trying to reason their blind believes.
I would also like to help my extended family to read and study about Islamic criticism to let them know that critics have valid claims and causes for the reason and they are fully equipped with credible facts to back what they say, but I am afraid on how to approach this. I have many intellectual people in my family who are brainwashed into the Islamic doctrine.Secondly as far as volunteering for FFI through internet, please let me know how can i be of assistance. I am a software engineer by profession and would love to create something digitally such as a software or website, which could have a wider impact on the crowd of Muslims on the internet.
Finally my last dilemma is, As we know there are 1.5 billion Muslims in this world, majority of them are adamant to question their faiths. How do you think a bunch of people on the internet create an impact to the whole population of the Muslims? If there are people questioning their beliefs and leaving Islam there are ten more who are joining at the same time through local preaching and influence through Muslims in reality. How can a couple of people on the internet make an impact on such a big audience? I am sure majority of the Muslims don’t even know about FFI because they would rather Google their own death than criticism on Islam. I don’t think it is possible to eradicate an ideology which is so devoutly followed by 1.5 billion people who are stubborn in belief and irresistible to question.
What do you say of this?
Thank you
Hi Saeed,
As for helping your parents to see the truth, if I were you I would not bother. Your parents are not young and changing religion at this age is not easy, especially if they live in an Islamic country. First of all you may end up alienating them and even if you succeed to convince them that Islam is a lie, they will feel alienated from the society in which they live. Leave them alone. Although Islam is a burden on them leaving it will be a bigger burden.
As for your intellectual relatives, you can open a dialogue with them, if you think this will not put you at risk. Simply ask questions and don’t give opinions.
My preference is that we should leave our relatives alone too. You can help other Muslims and let other apostates help your relatives.
You ask how a small group of people can make 1.5 billion people change their religion. It is easy. There is a law in the universe. If you believe in something and hold that belief with complete assurance, it will materialize. Thoughts become things. If you can believe it, you will see it.
Remember that Islam has advanced because of the unshakable faith of its followers. Faith always wins. The universe responds to unshakable belief. It does not matter whether that belief is true or false. It responds to the intensity of the belief.
When we want to encourage someone to be committed we tell him, burn your ships. Do you know the origin of this idiom? As the story goes, a general sailed over to an enemy country with his army. He then burned the ships down and told this men, since they had no way to get back, they would have to conquer the enemy territory or perish. That general was Tariq ibn Ziyad and the country was Spain. Muslim raiders won even though they were a tiny group of bandits.
Another example is when Muslims invaded Iran. Rostam Farrokhzad was the General of the Persian army. He consulted a soothsayer who told him he will be defeated. This superstitious man faced the enemy with no faith in his victory. Of course he was defeated and Iran was conquered by Muslim raiders. Millions perished as the result and we still suffer the consequence of that defeat.
Faith wins. If you believe in something it will materialize. If you fear defeat, you will be defeated. If you are certain of your victory you will win. This is the unchangeable law of the universe as certain as the law of gravity.
Muslims have strong faith. To counter that, we must have an even stronger faith. Numbers don’t matter. The strength of faith is what counts. Even if you are an army of one person and your faith is stronger than the belief of all the entire humanity, you win. Truth and falsehood don’t matter. Faith wins always.
The message of Jesus was a message of love and that of Muhammad was a message of hate. Jesus was utter goodness and Muhammad was the personification of evil. Yet both won, even though they started as one person. They won because of the strength of their faith. Truth and falsehood, good and evil did not matter. The only thing that mattered was the strength of their faith.
We must not undermine the strength of the faith of Muslims. Despite being a very stupid religion, it still poses a serious threat to humanity. It would be foolish to make light of Islam’s threat. We can win only when our faith is stronger than theirs.
This is not easy. Most Muslims are brain dead. They operate with 100% faith and zero reason. When it comes to their religion, they shut down their rational faculty completely. Not a ray of reason can penetrate their closed minds. This makes them extremely dangerous.
To win we need two things: Have an unwavering faith in our victory and weaken their faith.
Fortunately, the majority of Muslims are ignorant of their faith. I was among this group. In my case, I’d say 80% of my brain was still functioning. I was just misinformed. When I learned the truth, my faith was shaken.
Now I have unwavering assurance that Islam will be defeated and you should have that faith and assurance too. Numbers don’t count. If our faith is stronger we will win
We can only win the ones who use at least a small portion of their brain. The majority of Muslims are not true Muslims. Even if a Muslim has 5% of his brain still working, we can shake his faith. Once that happens, he will be ours.
Once the true Muslims see how people are leaving Islam, they too will lose faith. These people are driven by hype, not by reason. When they come to see Islam is being defeated, they too will come to their senses.
You can help by getting involved. Please join the forum and invite others. The more people get involved the more the truth will spread. If you are a software engineer, you can be of immense help. This site is run by volunteers, but we don’t have technicians.
