Attitudes of the Imams and leaders, part XIII

On non-Muslims.
2013 12th May. Source: BBC. Toufik Kacimi, President of the Christian-Muslim Forum and Head of Muslim Welfare House was asked his opinion of the canonisation this weekend by Pope Francis of around eight hundred Italian civilians massacred by Ottoman Turks during the siege of Otranto, Italy, in 1480. Offered the choice “Become Muslim or be killed.” they opted for death. Kacimi stated his disappointment with Pope Francis (for canonising the martyrs) and said: “this kind of action will not enforce the structure (?) and relationships between both sides… Islam does not force its faith on people… [so Islam] has big doubts on this story… So I don’t think this will in anyway, anyhow, reinforce the relationship, or dialogue… We are trying to change this kind of wrong perception. This will not help at all.” When Edward Stourton pointed out to Kacimi that this wasn’t “anti-Muslim, it’s merely a celebration of those who were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their faith which, as I understand it, is something Muslims very much respect too.” Kacimi replied “Well, I would take this a different way, I would take it as a political statement which means no to the Turkish application to join the E.U. This is my reading of this story.” When Staunton queried what he meant Kacimi confirmed that he regarded the canonisation of the martyrs as meaning just that and that he hoped [the E.U.] would ignore the action. He further opined that “this [canonisation] will give the assumption that Islam is only spread by violence and this will not bring benefit to both [either?] of the faiths.” Comment: Setting aside his obvious use of Taqiyya, I suppose I can understand why Kacimi does not sees these victims as ‘legitimate’ martyrs, after all they hadn’t just committed mass-murder, unlike those Muslim ‘martyrs’ engaged in “marytrdom operations” – i.e. suicide bombings etc. Note also the idea that anything with a negative aspect for Islam is wrongful as well as his misunderstanding the canonisation as inherently political in nature. This too is understandable if we realise that Islam is as much (if not more) about politics as it is religion.
2013 21st May. Abstracted “Christian Today Australia”. Pakistan: A Muslim political candidate, Mehr Abdul Sattar, suspected of murdering a Christian has instigated calls from mosque loudspeakers for attacks on Christians in Punjab Province’s Okara district, whom he blames for his May 11 election loss. “Burn their homes to the ground … Punish them such that they forget Gojra and Joseph Colony,”. (On March 9th3,000 Muslims attacked Christians in Joseph Colony, destroying 175 homes and in Gojra in 2009, eight Christians were burned alive, 100 houses looted and 50 homes set ablaze.) This incitement to murder and violence it produced was reported to the Police, but they refused to act against Sattar Comment: Here we have direct calls of incitement to attack Christians with such violence that the destruction and murder of Joseph colony and Gojra will be “forgotten” – and the Muslim Police do nothing. Such is the reality for non-Muslims in a Muslim-majority state.
On Islamic Supremacy
2013 19th April. Libyan Writer Mojahed Busify: “There are a million Muslims in the Netherlands. Sixty percent of the Muslims in the Netherlands live off social security. Many of them consider this to be the jizya poll tax, on the basis of official fatwas…they go to the ATM or the bank teller, and say [in Arabic]: “Convert to Islam or pay the jizya.” … [the teller doesn’t understand] he just says: “Here is your money,” and that’s the end of it. Today, fewer people behave this way, but some still do…this is our culture, which we have exported to the Muslims in Europe.” Comment: Kudos to Busify who is telling the truth about Muslims in the west – and objecting to their attitudes. Readers of this series will recall that British Imam Anjem Chaudary said something similar – but considered it a right and proper thing to do.
On Islamic tolerance and equality.
2013 8th May. Abstracted “The Algemeiner”.Egypt. Sheikh Abdullah Badr “I swear to Allah, the day those who went out [to protest], and at their head, the [Coptic] Christians—I say this at the top of my voice—the day they think to come near Dr. Morsi, I—we—will pop their eyes out, and the eyes of all those who support them, even America; and America will burn, and all its inhabitants. Be assured, the day Dr. Morsi is touched by any hand whichever, and connected to whomever, by Allah it will be the last day for us. We will neither leave them, nor show them any mercy.” Badr, like Morsi, is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood which has been touted in America as “moderate and largely secular” by U.S. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Badr’s “radicalism” [i.e. Islamic orthodoxy] is well documented. On various occasions he has openly declared on live TV that he hates and is disgusted by Christians, that he will “cut the tongue” of anyone who offends Islam (adding “Let the whole world burn, but Islam not be mocked”), and that those Egyptians protesting against Morsi are “mischief makers” who should be “hung on trees” (a clear reference to Islamic crucifixion as prescribed in Koran 5:33). Comment: Tolerance Islamic style. Be a good little Dhimmi and we Muslims will leave you alone – if you’re lucky. Note also that implicit here is that Morsi may not be removed from power by any mechanism – even a democratic one.
2013, 10th may. Abstracted “The Commentator”. British Imam Anjem Choudary and his henchmen have been caught on video getting into a fight with other Muslim groups. Choudary et al were protesting against the Syrian regime and in support of hard-line Salafist group “Jund Al Sham”. They also had placards denouncing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah, who they deem as “Shia Enemies of Allah” for their Shi’ite Muslim backgrounds. This latter, apparently, enraged some Shia Muslims and the fist and stick-fight ensued. Comment: (Sarcasm on). Truly Islam is the religion of peace and Islam is clearly compatible with British (western) values (sarcasm off). And not only in the U.K. It seems Australia has the same “issue” with respect to Syria and Sunnis v. Shias.
2013, 17th May. Abstracted “Jakarta Globe”. A mob of more than 100 people damaged an Ahmadiyah mosque in Tulungagung, East Java, on Thursday night in a ‘spontaneous [attack], the mosque was destroyed by young people’. Three hours before the attack, Imam Muslim, the local Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) head, and police met with the [mosques leaders] to request that they shut down the mosque and stop spreading Ahmadiyah teachings. They also demanded [Ahmediyah] Imam Rizal leave the village immediately. Comment: “Spontaneous attack”? Either such reporters are stupid, or they think we are. Another example of “Islamic tolerance”.
On correct Islamic behaviour and attitudes:
2013 8th May. Abstracted “Magharebia”. Moroccan activist Ahmed Assid has unleashed a torrent of criticism, including a takfir fatwa from a leading salafist preacher, for making controversial comments about Islam. “To call [upon people] to follow Islam by the use of violence and constraint is an act of terrorism.” he said. Salafist Sheikh Mohammed Fizazi said that Assid should be sued for insulting the prophet and ridiculing Islam. Sheikh Hassan Kettani accused Assid of kufr, described him as a “criminal” an “enemy of Allah” and issued a call for “silencing his voice” [i.e. his murder]. Abdelbari Zemzami, who heads Morocco’s Research and Jurisprudence Studies Society, lambasted Assid for provoking Moroccans and Muslims the world over with his statement. Comment: yet another peaceful moderate Muslim is told the error of his ways by “true-believer” Muslims! Note that the last is effectively saying that if Assid is murdered by “outraged” Muslims – then that is his fault for “provoking” them.
2013 12th May. Source: BBC. Baroness Warsi, Senior Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Minister for Faith and Communities (U.K.) was quizzed about “Islamophobia and the threat of extremism”. She responded: “You’ll remember the speech I gave in which I said Islamophobia had passed the dinner table test…what I meant by that was that Islamophobia was, sadly, found in the most civilised of settings such as dinner-parties. Two years on we’ve had some excellent research done … and also a UGOV poll which shows that, unfortunately, there is a sense of unease about Islam and Muslims in Britain. There’s some quite worrying statistics where over 50% of people in this Country do not believe that Islam and Britain are compatible… What I said at the time was that we needed, as a government, to respond to this phenomena [sic] [Islamophobia]. We have responded, we now have a … working party that sits and looks at the issue of anti-Muslim hatred and how we can tackle it, we’ve co-funded a project called ‘Mama’ – Monitoring anti-Muslim Attacks which specifically allows people to report incidents of anti-Muslim hatred and anti-Muslim attacks and we’re also looking at projects were we can highlight the contributions of Muslim communities to Britain for example, the commonwealth soldiers during the first world war.” Edward Stourton then challenged Warsi over “extremism” asking: “And [Islamic] extremism, how successful do you think you’re being tackling that at the moment?” Warsi responded: “One thing we did was splitting the preventing agenda from the community cohesion agenda. I think in the past that communities felt like everybody in the [Muslim] community was being targeted. What we need to do is first of all to make sure that communities are kept safe from terrorist attack and that is of course a Home Office lead and our security services do an incredible job in keeping us safe. In terms of extremism, you tackle the very views which lead to extremist beliefs and I think the government has been successful in challenging and asserting values which are shared values which we expect people to sign up to and those views that are extremist, we’ve been prepared to challenge them publicly.” Comment: Where to start? Conflation of “anti-Muslim hatred” (as reprehensible as any other hate crime) and ‘Islamophobia’ (criticism of Islam), conflation of “incidents” (e.g. saying a rude word) with attacks (physical violence or worse). How about her view that people holding views that ‘Islam and British values are incompatible‘ are, by definition, Islamophobes – it does not cross her mind that the constant evidence of Muslim paedophile gangs grooming (mostly) white girls, thwarted terror attacks at home and successful ones at home and abroad might just lead people to a rational conclusion that Islam isn’t compatible with British values! In an ironic twist of timing, yet another Muslim Paedophile ring has just been convicted of child-grooming and child-sex offences (14th May). Even when asked directly about Islamic extremism, Warsi’s first point was on the “need” to make sure that Muslims did not feel ‘targeted’ by any attempts to combat it, only then did she talk about keeping communities safe – note that phrase, not “the British people” or “all of Britain’s people” but communities. Curious. What “communities” has she in mind? (Previously in the interview the word “community” was used by her for Muslims.) The rest is just waffle.
On anti-Semitism.
2013, 18th April. Tareq Hawwas of the “International Union of Muslim Scholars”: “The Jews are among the true enemies of the Islamic nation. Their enmity began with the beginning of the call to Islam…It is well established among Islamic scholars that the Prophet Muhammad died as the result of eating poisoned meat, given to him by that Jewish woman in Khaybar. She invited him to a feast, and she gave him poisoned mutton. She knew that he was partial to the shank, so she filled it with poison. When he tasted it, he was informed [that he was poisoned]. Some say that the lamb itself spoke, while others say that he had a revelation. The Prophet Muhammad got up, but some traces of the poison remained. Thus, the scholars consider the Prophet Muhammad to be a martyr because he died from the poison given to him by the Jews. Before that, some of the Jewish tribes tried to throw a rock at him, and tried, more than once, to send people to kill him. These are not mere claims, but have been well established. These conspiracies began when the first light of Islam began to glow, and they surreptitiously try to conspire against Islam… The Jews are the enemies of this nation, and they spare no effort in preventing this nation from gaining power. They have their ways. But before I go into that, anybody who knows what the Jews are like knows that this type of conduct is not out of character. First of all, they are among the people most rejecting of Allah. None has attributed falsehoods to Allah more than the Jews. They said that Allah has a child, that He is poor, and that He is miserly. The Jews attributed to Allah all the negative traits that one should not even attribute to the most common of people. Thus, the Jews are among the people most rejecting of Allah…In addition, they are the slayers of Prophets. How many prophets they have slain! They butchered Yahya and Zakariya, and tried to kill the Prophet Muhammad. They are the ones who tried to kill Jesus. They are the slayers of the prophets. Moreover, they are cowards. Allah said: “They will not fight you all except within fortified cities.” What is happening in Palestine proves the cowardice of the Jews, and proves that they are the most cowardly of Allah’s creatures. If not for the remote-controlled weapons, which they hide behind… By Allah, they are too cowardly to engage in direct combat. They are the most miserly of all the peoples. Wickedness, trickery, and deception are engrained within them. The Jews – with only few exceptions – have a natural disposition toward treachery. The Jews think nothing of violating treaties. They have no respect for them. What has happened in Palestine from the beginning and to this day shows us that the Jews have never respected, for a single day, any international agreement or treaty that they signed. The Islamic nation has suffered from the Jews’ violation of treaties ever since the days of the Prophet Muhammad in Al-Madina. These traits are what makes them employ all means of trickery and deception. Therefore, they have ways and means to trick the Islamic nation, first and foremost, through the economy. They have a good understanding of finances, and therefore…When they were dispersed throughout the world in the days of Hitler… Incidentally, most of what is said about the massacre is exaggeration and lies. If only Hitler had finished them off, thus relieving humanity of them. But Hitler was more merciful than they are themselves. They exploited this minor incident in order to extort the world…” Comment: Another Muslims who wishes all Jews were dead – not just “Zionists”, note.
2013, 26th April. Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi: ‘The [interfaith dialogue organizers] announced this year that they would invite Jews to next year’s session. So I said to them: “If you invite the Jews, I will not participate.” I will participate in a Muslim-Christian meeting, but with the Jews there should be no debate. Allah says: “Do not debate with the People of the Book except in a way that is best, except for those among them who commit injustice.” There should be no debate whatsoever with those who have committed injustice – not in the way that is best and not in the way that is worst. Those Jews have committed clear injustice against us. They have shed our blood, killed our children, displaced our people, seized our lands, and usurped our rights. I cannot be a part of a conference in which wrongdoing Jews participate. They have committed great injustice, and I cannot possibly shake hands with them. Their hands are soiled with blood. They have murderous, violent, and oppressive hands. I cannot soil my hands by shaking theirs. Comment: Qaradawi not happy to shake hands with people who’s hands are “soiled with blood”? I suppose it depends on the nature of the blood then – only Muslim blood is sacred after all – to other Muslims that is.
2013, May 3rd. Egyptian Cleric Sami Abu Al-‘Ala: “Oh Allah, make the conspiracies of the Jews their own ruin. Oh Allah, crush their soldiers and their weapons, destroy their homes, freeze the blood in their veins, disperse them, make their children orphans and their women widows, and shake the earth under their feet. Oh Allah, annihilate the Jews as you annihilated the peoples of ‘Aad and Thamud.” Comment: Yet another call for the genocide of the Jews from the “religion of peace”.
2013, 13th May. Abstracted “The Telegraph”. Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi ““Our whole ambition is to die on the path to Allah… I am sure we will conquer…The battle … is between Muslims and Jews as is clearly stated in the hadith. This battle will occur between the collective body of Muslims and the collective body of Jews…Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers.” Comment: Qaradawi’s Jew hatred is clear: he sees it as “Allah’s will” that Muslims will exterminate all Jews and praises Hitler for the holocaust.
2013, 14th May. Abstracted “YnetNews”. Jibril Rajoub, a Fatah Central Committee: “We the Palestinians are the enemies of Israel…As the people of the Fatah movement, we keep resistance on the agenda in all its forms… this country [Israel] is ours. Until now we have not had nuclear weapons, but in the name of Allah, if we had nuclear weapons, we’d be using them.” Comment: Rajoub gives his support to suicide bombings etc. and declares (yet again) that Israel must be destroyed. The nuclear weapon point is particularly chilling given that the use of such weapons would render Israel uninhabitable for (probably) centuries. Thus he is saying that he would rather have the land of Israel as a nuclear desert than permit Israel (with it’s Xtian and and Arab populations) to exist.
On Islamic Politics.
2013, April 1,st. former Jordanian prime minister Abdelraouf Al-Rawabdeh: “Once, when I was running for office, someone tried to give me a hard time. He approached me and asked: ‘What do you think about America?’ I asked him: ‘Are you asking me as a politician or as a candidate?’ He said he was asking me as a candidate, so I said: ‘America is an enemy state, which provides weapons to Israel, kills our Palestinian people, controls our Arab countries, expropriates our oil, and destroys our economy.’ So he was pleased, but then he said: ‘And as a politician?’ I said: ‘America is our friend. It stands by us and provides us with aid.’ He said: “Don’t you see that as a moral contradiction?” I said “No. I say that America is an enemy in order to appease you, and I say it is a friend in order to get you food. You tell me which you prefer.” Comment: a perfect example of Taqiyya! When speaking as a Muslim “candidate” he gives the truth, when speaking to the US (or Westerners) as a “politician”, he lies through his teeth.
2013 4th May. Abstracted “Express” 10 U.K. resident Bangladeshi origin [Muslim] bloggers, singers, writers and charity workers who are leaders of the UK arm of the Shahbag campaign which is calling for justice against those accused of war crimes during the 1971 independence struggle with Pakistan have been denounced as “atheists” by, and have received death-threats from, people linked to the Islamist Jamaat e Islami party, which wants an Islamist republic of Bangladesh. The threats are linked to the volatile politics of Bangladesh where dozens of activists have been murdered in recent weeks and Security experts fear the violence might be exported as bloodshed on Britain’s streets. London Assembly member Murad Qureshi said: “Jihadists will think it is their duty to annihilate [i.e. murder] those listed as atheist.” Comment: Politics – Islamist style. Kill those who oppose Islam. Hmmm… Now where have I heard that before? I really can’t remember… (sarcasm).
2013, 9th May. Abstracted “The Raw story”. The Taliban’s leader Hakimullah Mehsud had personally ordered suicide bombings on polling day and a Taliban commander added “The Taliban has dispatched several of fedayeen (suicide bombers) to carry attacks on election across Pakistan.” AFP saw a copy of a letter apparently sent from Mehsud to Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan, mapping out the plan for bombings. “You take care of attacks in Punjab and Sindh. I will take care of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan,” it said. Attacks on politicians and political parties, most of them claimed by the Taliban, have already killed 113 people since mid-April, according to an AFP tally. A separate pamphlet distributed by a previously unknown group in the most notorious Taliban and Al-Qaeda-stronghold of North Waziristan has warned people of punishment if they allow women to vote. The Taliban threats have cowed the PPP, which has run a leaderless campaign. Comment: yet again “true-believer” Muslims make it murderously and lethally clear that democracy, especially coupled to universal sufferage (i.e. women voting) is un-Islamic.
On the status and treatment of Muslim women.
2013 7th May. Abstracted from “AlMonitor”. The article “Polygamy and sex in Morocco” (I recommend a full read) talks about the increasing frequency of polgamy in “Islamist Morocco”. In the article is the statement: ‘[The] excuse by proponents of polygamy assumes that the desire for diversity of pleasures is only applicable to men, but never for women. It also presupposes that, for [Muslim] men, the relations they maintain with women are merely physical and that these women are, in their eyes, nothing but bodies and a tool to be used for pleasure. “For us as [Mussal]men … marrying multiple women is the ideal solution that allows us to live out our pleasures and fantasies, but in a way that is halal and guilt free. This is because Islam condones these relations,… it seems that this is favourable for women, who could easily be recognized socially, have rights, inherit and have children.” [said one polygamist]. This point of view is shared by Abdeslam El Bouraini, president of the National Order of Religious Notaries.’ [So, it’s all fine and dandy for the ‘men’ – what do the women think? The article states:] ‘There are two recurring words when describing [the women’s] feelings: anger and humiliation.’ Comment: Another demonstration of the callousness of Islam towards women, yet where is the outcry from (Western) feminists?
2013, May 18th. Abstracted “Fox News”. Iranian Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, a member of the regime’s Guardian Council [said that] the participation of women in an election would go against the country’s constitution [and] that not only does the law bar a female from the presidency, it prohibits a woman from appearing on the ballot. The Guardian Council vetoes candidates who are deemed unacceptable — in other words, those who possess views that stray from the regime’s agenda. Comment: And what did you expect, ladies?
On the status and treatment of non-Muslim women.
2013, 15th May. Abstracted “BBC News”. “Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau released a video on 13 May 2013, saying Boko Haram had taken women and children – including teenage girls…Mr Shekau said the hostages would be treated as “slaves”, fuelling concern that Boko Haram is adhering to the ancient Islamic belief that women captured during war are slaves with whom their “masters” can have sex.” Comment: Given Boko Haram’s statements and modus vivendi, it is more probable than not that these women will be used as sex-slaves and subject to multiple rapes.
On Slavery
2013, 5th May. Abstracted “International Christian Concern”. Bangladesh: over 140 Christian children, half young girls, have been rescued from Madrassas (Islamic religious schools). The girls report being used for sex-slavery and forced domestic labour (i.e. slavery). The Children and their families had been promised that the children would receive places at Christian schools (which have a good reputation for education in Bangladesh), but instead were sent either to Madrassas or to the sex-trade. All were converted by force to Islam, adopting Islamic dress and names. Christians are marginalised and suffer oppression in Bangladesh which is 90% Muslim. Comment: This is typical Islamic slaving of non-Muslims with the young females used as (sex-)slaves. This sort of activity can only take place with the tacit permission of the state. See also here: the same sort of thing being done in “moderate” Indonesia. Both are forms of “devirsme”.
Not categorised or multi-category.
2013, 30th April. Islamic politics, Islamic supremacy, war. Sheik Kamel Zarouq: I would like to declare loud and clear that the Al-Nusra Front, Ansar Al-Sharia, Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State of Iraq, and the mujahideen in Somalia, in Mali, and in Algeria – we all stand united against the enemies… Our goal is to support the Islamic nation, to support our religion, to elevate the shari’a, and to spread the law of Muhammad. Our goal is to pull the nations out of darkness and into light. Our goal is to instate the shari’a, and regain Andalusia and Jerusalem… The Prophet Muhammad said: “Rome shall be conquered.” Rome will be conquered in our days. This is the age of the Muslims. Gone are the days of secularists and of democracy. We are looking down upon them. We are looking down upon them from above. They are beneath us.” Comment: A lot here: according to Zarouq al-Qaeda etc. are the “real” Muslims, Sharia is the way and Muslims “look down” (are superior to) all other systems, such as democracy, and people. Oh, and the promise of conquest – the “regaining” of Andalusia (Spain/Portugal) since in Islam once any land is claimed by Muslims it is Muslim land forever (which does not bode well for South Sudan btw).
2013 May 6th. Anti-semitism and politics. Abstracted “JTTM”. Pakistan’s leading al-Qaeda commanders are on a video questioning the system of democracy in Pakistan and criticizing the global economic system as Jewish-created and responsible for all the miseries of the Pakistani people. Comment: once again “true-believer” Muslims tell us democracy is un-Islamic – and throw in some Jew-hatred for good measure.
2013, 17th May. Abstracted “Ibtimes”. Saudi cleric Abul Ala: “turning on the cooler ventilator [air-con] is prohibited for women in the absence of their husbands” because “the woman’s act is very dangerous, and may bring about immorality in the society. When she turns the cooler on, someone may notice her presence at home, and this might bring about immorality”. Comment: I’m torn on this one. Is it “mostly for laughs” on the grounds that it’s such a nonsense, or is it “treatment of Muslim women” since Abu Ala is, in fact, a real cleric?
Mostly for laughs.
Its not all doom and gloom in the Dar-ul-Islam. Some things are just too funny or silly for me to ignore …
2013 May 2nd. This report details the prosecution of six British Jihadists who were intending to kill and maim hundreds at an EDL rally. Their hatred extended well beyond the “far-right” (as the UK Press libels – err, labels, those who speak against Islamic extremists). This bunch of attempted-murderers was foiled entirely by a serendipitous mixture of their incompetence (arriving after the rally had dispersed and incorrectly filling out a car insurance form) coupled with pure chance – they were stopped by Police for being uninsured. Once again we see the “Religion of Peace” telling us “Don’t say we are violent – or we’ll kill you”. This is ironically amusing, though not actually funny.
2013, 2nd May. From “BBC News”. U.K. Leicester headteacher Mr. Luckcock posted a facebook picture of himself in a turban with the caption “Nearly gone native in Leicester”. The original TV report (no longer available on BBC as of 3rd May) showed Muslim parents expressing their “disgust” and “outrage” at his “insult to our community” and his “racism”and they also stated that he should resign. Their views were echoed by a local Muslim leader… [Here is where it gets funny.] In an interview with the BBC Tim Luckcock stated that both he and his wife are Muslim and that the picture was taken at a Diwali celebration; thus this insult, authored by a Muslim was directed at Hindus and Sikhs! Thus we see, once again, Muslims leaping on the “OH! We’re SOOO upset and offended by this islamophobic racist, fascist, bigot” bandwagon – even when the insult is aimed by a (white) Muslimat a non-Muslim community. A severe case of “foot-in-mouth” disease I think.
2013, 19th May. Abstracted “Star Tribune”. The article details the sentences handed down to a bunch of Somali Al-Shabaab supporters in the US. But at the end is this gem: [the Judge’s questioning] “also prompted the [Hamas-linked] Council on American-Islamic Relations to announce Friday that it will file a complaint against Davis, for allegedly linking mainstream Islamic principles with terrorism.” Comment: this sounds like “Don’t say we’re violent, or we’ll SUE you!” At least that is better than “Don’t say we’re violent, or we’ll KILL you!”.
