Tunisian Society in a State of Shock: The Awful Consequences of the “Fornication Jihad” – Young Tunisian Women Return Pregnant & Infected
10/01/2013
Riposte Laïque is a French organization dedicated to preserve the secular nature of the Public Square in France, and seeks to stop the steady growth of Islamism. It publishes an online bulletin dedicated to this cause.
On 29 September, 2013, I noticed an extremely troubling report on the plight of young Tunisian women who had participated in the “Fornication Jihad.”
The French headline translates literally:
Tunisie : grossesses et sida, gratification divine du jihad de fornication ?
Tunisia: Pregnancies and AIDS: A Divinely-Sanctioned Gratification of Fornication Jihad?
The original report was first published on 22 September, in the online Tunisian daily,
al-Shourouk. This case has shocked the Tunisian society; a week later, this Arabic-language daily reported that Hezbollah had arrested near the Lebanese-Syrian border, six Tunisian women en route to Syria, to join in the “Fornication Jihad.” On Monday, 30 September, more news about this tragic story was reported; dealing with the need to bring to justice those responsible for this unbelievable type of Jihad!
The following is a shortened version of the horrific experiences of deluded young Tunisian women.
“The most important question we face is who had stood behind this attack on of the Tunisian society, and sought to weaken its religious and cultural institutions?
“We may point to those obscurantist forces; especially to the Jihadist-Salafist ideology that had developed an extremely dangerous phraseology that captivated the minds of some weak members of our society. Lamia, Mounia, Hanan are names of victims of those ferocious beasts!
“On the highway that links Tunis to Bizerte, we find a house where Lamia lives. On the outside, the house looks any other Tunisian dwelling. However, as soon as you have stepped in the house, a strong feeling of sadness confronts you. Lamia’s story began when she was nineteen years old. She came under the influence of s Da’iya (a propagandist of radical Islam) who transformed her into his slave. He convinced her that a woman could participate in Jihad against the enemies of Islam, by willing to have sex with those brave Jihadists after their return from their raids in Syria. Lamia became like putty in the “service” of the “Mujahideen,” (Arabic for Jihadists) who were Pakistanis, Afghanis, Libyans, Tunisians, Iraqis, Saudis, and Somalis, Her body became “multinational.” The child she is carrying, if he ever sees the light of day, would be fatherless, with no place or recognition in society!
“Lamia had met other “fornication jihadists” who were from various Tunisian towns: Kasserine, el-Kef, Hay-el-Tahrir, Bizerte, Gafsa, and Sfax. Having tasted horrors beyond description, she managed to start her way back to Tunisia. She was arrested at the Libyan-Tunisian border, thanks to the fact that her parents had reported her missing a few months earlier. During her interrogation by the authorities, she admitted that she was in Syria together with several women and young girls participating in the “Fornication Jihad.” Having submitted to medical tests, it was confirmed that she had contracted SIDA; further tests showed she was in her fifth month of pregnancy, and her child was equally infested with the same disease.
Lamia is back at home; her family decided to keep her in isolation at their home, in a rural village, on the Bizerte to Tunis route. Members of her family hope that her drama would end by her death prior to the birth of her child.”
I don’t have much to add to this account of the tragic end, not only of poor Lamia, but of countless Muslim women who were brainwashed to participate in a conflict that had been going on in Syria, since mid-March, 2011. A conflict that began as a genuine Syrian Intifada, but as it dragged into months, and years of brutal repression, the civil war morphed into an unbelievable pan-Islamist conflict that attracted al-Qaida-type mujahideen, who murder indiscriminately innocent Syrians, including Christians.
The world watches on, getting numb to the mounting casualties among the Syrian population, and learns belatedly, of the shocking news that has brought sorrow and shame to many a Tunisian family!
NOTE
Readers of FFI can read the full account on the website of Riposte Laique in French:
SIDA is the French acronym for AIDS. In Arab countries that had been part of the French colonial system, terms and nomenclature tend to reflect the French, rather than English vocabulary.
The report re the attitude of Lamia’s family is shocking; however, it must be understood in the context of Islamic culture. Neither an illegitimate child, nor a women who has lost her virginity, has a place or a future in society.
