Islam, Rationalism and Skepticism

Some Muslims in India or in anywhere will tell us how moderate and rational and skeptic Muslims are as long as Muslims are the minority.

But, when discourses end, even those moderate and rational and skeptic Muslims are back to Islamic Shariat for eternal Islamic guidance!

Indian “Hindus” often fall for “equality of all religions” argument(s) to give Islam an equal footing with Sanatana Dharma when, in fact, Islam is literally, practically and scripturally a total Adharma.

After raping all non-believer females of all ages, Islam imposes strict dress-code(s) for all women, girls and babies.

After looting and robbing all wealth of non-believers, Islam imposes punitive amputation for the crime of stealing.

After murdering all non-believer males of arms-bearing-age, Islam imposes beheading as fictitious Allah’s earthly punishment for all capital crimes.

And, yet world’s Muslims — especially the educated ones — will tell us (i.e., non-believers) that, only Islam is the true faith and only “Allah” is the true God and Muhammad the Arabian was the final “prophet” (i.e., messenger).

In classical work of ancient Greek literature, by Plato, entitled THE APOLOGY OF SOCRATES it in written that Socrates had said that “An unexamined life is not worth living.” Likewise, in may also be said that “An unexamined religion is not worth believing in.” This is said about all religions. Yet to be specific, in this case, the topic is about the religion of Islam. Furthermore, one man who was as a former a Muslim and had lived in one of the Islamic nations of the Middle East but now he is Christian and an American citizen had explained in a book he wrote that “Driving into depths of the word of reasoned thinking and research in Islamic societies has always been costly. Some Muslim who have done this have even been excluded from their social rights and even sentenced to death.” [1]

Well, Benjamin Franklin did print in his periodical of POOR RICHARD’S ALMANACK the words “To see by the eye of faith is to shut the door of reason.”

Searching for rationalism and skepticism in Islam and Christianism is similar to searching for fresh water in a puddle of urine.

It is a good and thought provoking article. However I have filled one or two missing links.

Not realizing the fact that it takes decades and very hard work for such a human being to educate oneself to this level. And credit should be given to the Christian missionaries who built universities of Bologna CE(Christian Era) 1088, Paris 1050, Oxford 1196, Cambridge 1209, Harvard 1636, Princeton 1746, and millions of schools Colleges are being run by missionaries, 700,000 nuns in 190 countries

The main point one must remember is that progress speeded up only since people concentrated on life of this world. We must remember that Jesus said nothing other than about the life on this earth and the next.
