Dear Lily,
Please take care and hope your ability to think and be independent grows and grows. Doubts is what makes us humans, so do not worry about doubting about your present beliefs. Start worrying when you stop doubting. I hope you can leave Saudi Arabia and be somewhere life is not so restrictive for women. Your story gives many the hope and the 'proof' that Islam cannot extinguish the hope and the spirit of humans.
I wish you all the best and hope that life will offer what you desire. _________________ Ali Sina: "The truth is out there for those who want to see it. It is beyond doubt."

What on earth do you mean Yezevee? I didn't understand any of that. Maybe I'm just tired or something.
I'm proud of you for standing up for how you really feel instead of what you are told to believe under duress, Lily. People like you can change the whole world for the better.
Christianity, by the way, is a definite improvement because of the genuine example of kindeness and humanity evinced by its founder, but you should be aware that ALL religions come with dogma which the followers of them expect each other to follow without questioning.
They don't kill you for asking questions in Christianity, but they sure do bristle! My Sunday school teacher, growing up, used to call me "Tongue of Satan" for asking so many hard-to-answer questions. I've enraged quite a few of Christians just for suggesting that Christ isn't neccesarily "God" and had a completely different personality from the Old Testment diety too.
This is why I attach to no religion, though follow the good advice of many, rejecting all that makes no sense to me or just sounds wrong. I don't want anyone to tell me how to think. I was born with a good brain and so were you my dear friend. Got brain; know how to use it! _________________ "Nothing is obtained simply by wanting. Dear Lily,
Your testimony was very moving and I really hope that your new faith will give you even more strength and hope. I'm really rooting for you and would like to be able to help you escape. We all worry about you so much. If there is ANYTHING practical that I can do to help you please ask. There must be some way of you leaving that hell hole. If you could only just escape I am certain you would get assylum. In the UK in it's very easy - the system is very lax and many people get residency easily. |

I think you're a very brave and very good person. Your goodness and humanity shine like a torch. I find it perfectly understandable that you're feeling a lot of strain as you have no 'peer group' in KSA to comfort and support you in your beliefs. Of course, 'internet friends' are just that. We cannot be like flesh and blood friends. But I'm sure you will find a lot of kind, humane people here like Ambreia who have gone through dreadful experiences themselves and will offer all their kindness and sound advice. Stick around!
Well done. Do not doubt that you HAVE made the right choice by doubting what you had always been told was the truth. _________________ "Ecrasez l'infâme!" |

Dear Lily,
Thanks for sharing with us your story. I think your courage is an inspiration to Muslimahs who are also fed up with Islam, but don't have the kind of courage you have. You have all our support, but you still need to keep reminding yourself to be very careful as long as you're still in Saudi Arabia.
As for your fear for hell, I'd like to ask you a question. Why do you believe in a god who will send people to hell just because they refuse to believe him? Can you even imagine you were created by such a vengeful god? Besides, why would god create humans just because he wants them to worship him? Doesn't he have anything better to do? Anyway, I'm sure there's no chance that a kind person like you will go to hell.

Wow Lilayla, your story really touched me.
You said this;
You asked me before why did I love the person of Mohammad? Well because I loved the stories about his forgiveness and kindness…I now a lot of them but its hard for me to translate them.
I love the verse in Quran about being kind and forgiving (and there is a lot).
But I also realize that its not only Islam that have good things.
And also because Jesus was so kind and I never heard that he killed any one before..
But I am afraid of hell. And I still have doubts…
Those are exactly the same feelings like I have.
Sorry that I asked you in another story whether you left islam or not, some people didn't like it, I still don't know why.
I'm not good in writing articles, but I concider your story as my story dear Lilayla. _________________ "To pee or not to pee, that's the question"
