Welcome Egyptian_Atheist, I hope you have fun here at FFI. I didn't do ur poll because I'm none of the above but I will show you the basis of my love.

I do not know...
"If one can really come to that state of saying, "I do not know," it indicates an extraordinary sense of humility; there is no arrogance of knowledge; there is no self-assertive answer to make an impression. When you can actually say, "I do not know," which very few are capable of saying, then in that state all fear ceases because all sense of recognition, the search into memory, has come to an end; there is no longer inquiry into the field of the known. Then comes the extraordinary thing. If you have so far followed what I am talking about, not just verbally, but if you are actually experiencing it, you will find that when you can say, "I do not know," all conditioning has stopped. And what then is the state of the mind? ...
We are seeking something permanent – permanent in the sense of time, something enduring, everlasting. We see that everything about us is transient, in flux, being born, withering, and dying, and our search is. But that which is truly sacred is beyond the measure of time; it is not to be found within the field of the known".
J. Krishnamurti

Neither of us knows anything of beauty or of goodness, but he thinks he knows something when he knows nothing, and I, if I know nothing, at least never suppose that I do. So it looks as though I really am a little wiser than he, just in so far as I do not imagine myself to know things about which I know nothing at all."

- Socrates

Welcome Egyptian-atheist

I am an ex muslim, and agnostic.

Nice to see more people from the ME actually being able to see Islam for what it is. As it is alot harder for guys and gals like you to freely study alternative texts, or anything that shows islam in a bad light.

Welcome Egyptian Atheist. I am an ex-muslim, now atheist, a staunch anti-theist and iconoclast.

I believe in the philosophy of Metaphysical Naturalism.

Although we have a good numer of atheists amongst us, you will find that you will be attacked if you criticise religions other than Islam. Of late I have had the bitter experience of bearing the brunt of religious fanatics for expressing my views here.

Welcome to FFI! I often hear about Egyptians who convert to Christianity, but few who realizes that it is all bogus. Nice to meet you. I really wonder how you still live in Jihadypt as a murtad.

I'm an atheist and a Secular Humanist.

Welcome EA.

I just have one gripe

I am an agnostic, not an atheist, and to me that makes the most sense.

I do not have a pov that religion is necessarily a bad thing.

It seems to make the most sense that whatever reason we humans are here, is not possible for us to grasp one way or the other.

Logic is the best way for humans to look at things, but existence itself is outside logic (and seems to be illogical), and thus outside our comprehension.

So, it is not a matter of religion or atheism.

Welcome!
