Dear all,
I have given up in my attempt to convince muslims that the rape, child molesting, killing and the torture in their religious texts is wrong.
I have stated the obvious to all, but some still defend this great evil.  I DO NOT WISH TO WASTE MY ENERGY ANYMORE
LilyLayla - you are great person.  hope all goes well and if u want to chat then you can send me pm's. Infact anyone who wishes to chat or debate with me can do so by sending me private messages.
Muslim4lyfe - I suggest u go to ur local mosque and ask the mullah if all the things I have written are true or not.
Abdullanoor/yonghwah - ur a very bad person who defends rape and child molesting - so i hope u get locked up for this
the same goes for mehdi_t, zalan and all others that defend such henious crimes against humanity.
I'm going now - GOOD BYB

| I am thinking a better use of time would be to help educate the non-Muslims we know about Islam and the threat it poses. I suspect it is extremely rare to find a Muslim who is willing to evaluate the evidence. |

Hey Spidey, why give up so soon? Yes, some Muslims are broken beyond repair, but there are many visitors who come and read your posts. They understand what you're talking about but they don't post themselves. You're delivering the message to many others besides some eternal fools. Stick around, but if you can't for some reason, then my best wishes to you.

Who knows, maybe you could not "save" any of your direct "opponents" (at least not right away!)...but you never know who just reads and ponders what you say. |

I second that - I suspect that when you get beyond the flagrant ignorance of some of the posters here - there are many other forum readers that are much more honest with themselves - and who don't post because they realize they can't defend islam while staying honest. They wait on the sidelines for others who they believe know more to come out and prove you wrong - but it yet it never happens. Or they cling to the idea that there just MUST be some misinterpretation of the koran, really mohammed was this big friendly dude of love, much like their favorite uncle or someting. Then there's those that have learned to interact with modern western civilization, they understand our humor and our culture (or at least know how to act it), and they enjoy the lifestyle that non-muslim lands and ideology provides. But deep down they can't shake what their mommy told them - that jews really DO deserve to die, that muslims DO deserve to rule, those terrorists are really NOT that bad, and that the rest of us are here for their service or at least convienient targets to earn some heaven points. It can take DECADES or a LIFETIME for a deeply held belief to erode, even in light of overwhelimg evidence against it - such is the mystery of the human mind. But I also think there are many out there who know they live a lie - can see through the indoctrination, and know there's more than the 7th century immature little box of a reality they've been raised to believe is everything. It's for these that this site exists - and for which purpose you should derive encouragment. |

I am sorry to hear you have worn yourself out. Perhaps, you underestimated what you are up against. Time and again you have enthusiastically asked certain Muslims straight up what they think about rape and jihad. Time and again, most of them have been unwilling to answer any direct questions. It is not merely that these people have different ideas about right and wrong, most of them are completely unwilling to enter into an actual debate about their ethics. They do not justify their beliefs; they evade such questions and hide behind Cultural Relativism, the Supposed greater evils of Christianity and US foreign policy. It is annoying to say the very least. I can certainly understand your frustration in this respect.
However, I agree with Gupsfu and BornAgain. You should not allow the fact that you cannot convince fanatical Muslims to depress you. In my opinion, the primary purpose of this site and the forum is to educate and enlighten those who are still somewhat openminded. You never know how some of your posts might affect our readers. Should any of us succeed in opening the eyes and mind of a single fanatical Muslim, I would be overjoyed, but I am not holding my breath.
I hope you are willing to reconsider your decision. If not, I wish you well and I will miss your enthusiasm.

Spidey, it's like this, we have people who are convinced that throwing them selves into wells is perfectly ok with their god. mayb ewe can get to some of them and convince themotherwise, mayb ewe can give them somehting to think about, or maybe they will disregard it all and do it anyway.
what we can do is warn people about the false god who requires people to throw themselves into wells. This forum and other like it are valuable tools to educate the nonmuslims about islam and muslims. This is to counteract the brainwashing and white washing of islam done by our media and so called moderate muslims. and we need all the help we can get. i hope you should take a rest and decide later to come back and contribute more to this forum.
