Your welcome,

to be honest, I half expected that I had to give a lengthy reply to the reply you might have given.

Izzayak ya murtad masri,

Welcome to the forum. I am curious to know you better because of your being Egyptian. My (still) muslim wife was born in Egypt and speaks Egyptian. Though my vocabulary is a bit limited, I manage well in both Egyptian and official arabic. I have visited Egypt a number of times, not only the touristic places but al-balad as well.

I have a few questions for you:
- what was the reason for you to leave Islam?
- is it easy to be critical when you are talking about Islam to your friends and colleagues?
- how do you manage a conversation about Islam and initiate doubt in peoples minds?
- with the heavy brainwashing of the people, how the hell will it be possible to move people out of Islam on a large scale? do you see this happening in Egypt?

salam

LOL! Ya wad ya murtad ya masri!

Egyptian-Atheist,

I'm just curious, I've also lived in Egypt and I visit once in a while, so I was wondering what kind of Muslim you were before you left the deen. Did you used to pray? Did you have a girlfriend?

What was it that made you revoke your religion? Also, what do you have written in your butta'a as your religion now?

I'm guessing the people that you hang with are non-practicing Muslims, am I correct in that assumption?

I wasn't in a stable condition , sometimes i become so strict , other times i be cool , but in both ways , i was praying everytime , fasting , believing , hating same sort of people muslims hate ....ect and same views about others.

& about the part of the GF , hmm , ya i'd when i was muslim , but it's different to have one when u're not muslim anymore ... i became more playful boy

well , it all began when i traveled to some countries out egypt , and saw how people think , live and life style ... i just found myself there , i was like saying how in earth i believed in a religion says to me those nice friendly people are kafirs , our duty is to make them muslims , if they didn't want , we fight them , how i ever believed in a religion where the prophet had sex with 9 years old girl ? many things became more clear to me .

i'm still muslim in many people eyes , i cant change my religion id , u know that ... but i'm ok with that , i mean why i need something like that , i've good life ... and don't want to prove anything to myself ,

I believe in God. I do not believe in organised religions. I have never been a member of any organised religion.

My parents were Protestant Christians, but apostised long before I was born. They are quite happy believing in God in their own way.

Most likely every move from one belief-system to an other can be considerd a step.
