I'm seriously at a loss to explain the absurdity of Muslims who fail to comprehend the Bible on the terms of the faith of Bible, and not on the term of their own faith and the Quran.
It appears to me that they are so desperate to find any referrence to Muhammed in the Bible taht they will actually completely overlook the obvious.
In regards to Deut 18.18 - 19 speaking about Muhammad, this is just evidential of the utter lack of knowledge on behalf of Muslims. No offense to Khalid Zaheen, but even a cursery examination of Deut will quickly reveal who this prophet actually is.
It is none other than Joshua. This is so plain and obvious it is absolutely astounding to suggest anyone else. But because it's clearly not obvious to Muslims, I shall just simply prove it with scriptures.
I will use Khalid Zaheen's critera:

And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him the commission in their sight. And you shall put of your glory on him, so that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may be obedient."
Deu 31:7 And Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage. For you must go with this people to the land which Jehovah has sworn to their fathers to give it to them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.
Jos 1:5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will also be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.
Jos 1:17 Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so we will listen to you. Only may Jehovah your God be with you as He was with Moses.
Deu 34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. And the sons of Israel listened to him, and did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Muslim interpolation of the word "Jews" is inappropriate, since they were not referred to as Jews, but Hebrews. Let us look at what Moses said directly to the people in front of him:
Deu 18:15 Jehovah your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. To Him you shall listen,
Moses was speaking to the people in front of him. It would be one of their brothers who would Moses would pass the torch to as the leader of the Hebrews. This torch was passed to Joshua, as previously noted.

Jos 4:10 For the priests who bore the ark stood in the middle of the Jordan until everything was finished, all that Jehovah commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua. And the people hurried and passed over.
1Ki 16:34 In his days Hiel the man of Bethel built Jericho. He laid the foundation of it in Abiram his first-born, and set up the gates of it in his youngest son Segub, according to the Word of Jehovah which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
Jos 8:27 Only, Israel took the cattle and the spoil of that city for a prize for themselves, according to the Word of Jehovah which He commanded Joshua.

That should be rather obvious by now. Do I really need to go dig up anything that says, "Spoken by Joshua in the name of God" to satisfy you? If he is speaking the word of Jehovah, then in who's name would he be speaking?
It is exceptionally unscholarly to beleive that Muhammad is the subject of Deut 18.18 - 19. The evidence to support Joshua cannot be effectively or even moderately refuted.
Any Muslim who thinks that Deut 18.18-19 is speaking of Muhammad is desperate to verify his faith, since there is no evidence whatsoever to support that ridiculous assertion. |

Dear Fathom thank you very much in showing that there is finally some intelligence on these forums. You are absolutely correct when you say Joshua is that prophet. However you can believe it or not it does mean all the succeeding Jewish prophets.

PETER., many at FFI don't know much about Prophet "Joshua".. So why not open a thread in that Multi-religious FFI folder and write/educate the reader about Prophet "Joshua"?. but don't do that IN THIS FOLDER..
