I have seen Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy on Pakistani satellite channels and government owned channels and his articles in the Pakistani newspaper.Infact he is a political analyst as well. His remarks in newspaper and TV channel are very liberal on political, social and religious issues. I am not very sure how his remarks are taken in Pakistan.I have also read his article in Mukto-mona.com free thinkers site on various issues. _________________ Balance in every aspect of life is an ideal obligation |

| Next year – instead of building dams, lining canals, embarking on water conservancy strategies, or doing something to control Pakistan’s exploding population – the government will presumably put the pressure on God again by summoning the masses. |
That silly man. Of course ALLAH will listen to their prayers. Then HE will send western engineers and development experts with our tax money to do the job.
Thank ALLAH for development aid! _________________ These are the root of all evil: fear of god, of death, of pain, and desire which goes beyond what nature requires for a happy life.

It just shows that religion and lack of education can have the same stultifying effect everywhere, though the results may vary. _________________ These are the root of all evil: fear of god, of death, of pain, and desire which goes beyond what nature requires for a happy life.
