Dear Lily,
Though I doubted you first when you came to FFI, I am now convinced that you have been telling the truth all along. I am impressed by the courage you have taken to be a 'free thinker' in a country like SA.
Now that you have become a Christian, how do you remain as one? There are no public churches and even bibles aren't allowed. Do you meet secretly with other Christians? Are there other exMuslim Christians like you in SA you are aware of? Did you become a Christian as a result of your own research or is there a secret evengelical activity in SA? Due to restrictions in SA I assume you are a Christian at heart but project the appearence of a Muslim outside - Is my assumption right? I am just curious. |

Hey Lili,
How about starting by reading the Bible online. But I don't know, I'm not a computer whiz- seems like anything related to Christianity might be dangerous.
I personally don't believe that the Bible is the word of God, but if Jesus existed, and the stories about him in the Bible are real, I think he was a great guy. And even if he didn't exist, I think he's a great example for people to follow. Perhaps start by reading about his life. |

Lily you are the best thing on the 'Net, period.
I hope your quest for understanding continues through a long and prosperous life. While I myself have chosen athiesm over Christianity, I feel it will serve a good purpose for you. There are plenty of denominations that do not treat Jesus as a god (non-Trinitarian) that you can investigate for information.
I wish someone would come and take you out of there to somewhere where you can think openly and without fear of recrinimation. Till then, I think you are on the right path. |

One of the things I loved about Islam was the greeting and non muslims arent supposed to use it because its restricted for muslims but I dont care so I say to you Lilly Salaams . I read your story and tears came to my eyes. I really felt for you and it made me feel so much less. Living in KSA you have to be very careful of allowing anyone to know your true state. This morning I woke up and realized something. God does love Me!! And He loves you too. I was thinking even when I turned My back on Him and didnt know His name...He knew Mine. When I refused to accept His love for Me. He gave Me his unreservedly. For that I give Praise. Im not christian. I still do not see Jesus as the Son of God but His name left My lips this morning. I dont know why. But this isnt about Me.
Lily..be careful...there is nothing you can do in KSA to make your way easier. Any one thats lived in the mumlika knows that no woman can travel without her mahraams permission so there is no way out and the likelihood of her leaving KSA is remote.
Just be mindful and know that God Loves you and will protect you |

| Courtesy of a link posted at http://exmuslim.com I have found this useful. It has several translations of the bible, and you can see the concordance. The Christian New Testament starts at Matthew, and continues on to Revelation. The first books from Genesis to before Matthew, are the Old Testament. Be careful though. |

I'd advise you not to do that, Alperen.
I've seen people attacking you for who you are, and I think they will use what you're gonna write to attack you even more. I don't want to see that happen.

well you're right about that, some people are even getting mad if I say that my parents are from Turkey and that I'm proud about that.
There were even some guys who were doing like I was the one who made the mistakes in past from Turkey.
But this will not stop me, I'm gona make my story and will post it here, the most people here are understanding and kind |
Why would anyone say such things? Everyone has the right to take pride in their heritage!
Lily, thank you for posting your story. I wish all the best for you. _________________ ˙˙˙˙ǝɯıʇ ʇsɹıɟ ǝɥʇ ʎʞuıʞ slǝǝɟ ʎluo ʇı 'ʎɹɹoʍ ʇ,uop |

Dear Paz,
You have a generous heart so you cannot comprehend why some people would bash Alperen just because he said he was proud to be a Turk, dispite he had already said he had no feeling for Islam.
In fact, what happened to Alperen was only a tip of the iceberg because things like that keep happening on this forum. I believe even Lily would have received the same treatment if she's not a girl. It's just depressing. :-(
Best regards. _________________ |

Yes I am, dear Lily, but it only applied when you were a newbie.
Your gender doesn't make any difference now since you've been here long enough for people to know what kind of person you are.

Yes, I had my doubts about you being in Saudi, but most people believed everything you said right way. I even got into arguments with some of them. But like I said, you've been here long enough, and my doubts are gone now.
