They are not desert pies
Usually the pies contain meat and vegetables, they are more of a savory pie in a flakey pastry

This must be why they reminded me of a kanish.
You should have just called them kanishes & I'd've understood perfectly

By the way if you are ever in Columbus, Ohio; you should stop by Sammy's Bagels & try there vegetable pies. ~ They are mostly potato of course but they have other stuff in 'em too. The bagels there are really the best I've had though I'm sure anyone from NY wouldn't be impressed. ~ An alba salmon & cream cheese on an egg bagel & a kanish is the perfectest lunch. ~ Don't try to go on a Saturday.

For those of you in the US or in the UK who want to begin networking in a real way and become politically active in opposing islamofascism, you now have the chance.

In the US: The United American Committe

http://www.unitedamericancommittee.org/

In the UK: The United British Alliance

http://www.freewebs.com/the-uba/ouraims.htm

The two groups will shortly be announcing a partnership. Both have web forums which I encourage all to join and continue networking. I am member of both.

Both organizations have mission statements on their main page which I also encourage you to read. People from all backgrounds are welcome that wish to stop islamofascism and terror.

regards,
RL

We're trying to push a group called the United Canadian Committee but their leadership doesn't seem to motivated, they did set up a website though http://www.freewebs.com/ucc1/ but I don't know of any activities they've done yet, maybe you can push them

I think they are into pushing of a different variety, judging by the website that the above link presently forwards to.

Are you serious about being fired, truth_seeker_2000? It was an innocent mistake!

Reading between the lines this United British Alliance appears like it may have links with the far right - which will give it severe credibility problems.

I would not be comfortable with the UBA. I plan to start my own group in Birmingham, if anyone here from Birmingham/West Midlands could make themselves known we could arrange a meeting to discuss strategy etc.

Be careful about meeting people JH, it's not wise with a subject like you have in mind, there will be people who want to silence you.

There are certainly a few far-right people on their boards, but not all of them. A lot of them also seem to think that going on football forums is the best way to progress politically; that would probably attract the far-right hooligans.

What did disturb me was the presence of some die-hard Northern Ireland Unionists on their site. Due to family history, I am a tad biased here, but I would never join a group that had such people within it.

To be honest, I do not think that the group is going anywhere. It seems to be overwhelmingly London-based; I was practically the only person from north of the Humber on it when I bothered posting. It also tends to jump onto tabloid bandwagons with what issues it supports.
