His entire life was very inspiring.
One of incidents in his life time ----
It was the initial period of his empire building.
About 50 kms from Mumbai is Kalyan, head quarters of a province in Mugal Empire.
Shivaji attacked and defeated the provincial Governor ( Subhedar).
The subhedar was killed ad his family captured.
The Subhedar's daughter-in-law was very beautiful. Shivaji's soldiers presented her to him as "war booty" as per the custom of the muslims.
She was wearing a burqua. Shivaji asked her to remove the burqua in everyody's presence ,and expose her face.
She obeyed. Shivaji told her that " if my mother had been as beautiful as you are; I would have born handsome too!!!!!."
He gave her gifts of clothes as per Hindu custom and released her with honour & warned his men that they should not behave like muslims to maintain difference between them.Otherwise they will be replacing muslim looters & rapists by hindu ones; which he wanted to avoid. |
He sounds like a real gentleman but what happened to you

Seems like you want to behave like a Muslim What did Muslims do to you personally that would want you to behave like that and are you going to be the one to cut off the hands? |
The muslims in India are opposing UNIFORM CIVIL LAW.
iN india we have two sets of CIVIL LAWS one based on SHARIA for muslims under which polygamy, quick divorce is legal; and the other set for all the rest of non-muslims, who cant LEGALLY practice polygamy, quick divorece etc.
When it comes to CRIMINAL LAW muslims DONT WANT SHARIA TO BE IMPLEMENTED for obvious reasons.
If the SHARIA LAW is applied to criminals (muslim ones only) THEY will START DEMANDING UNIFORM LAW for ALL.
NO COUNTRY IN MY KNOWLEDGE HAS CONSTITUTIONALLY SANCTIONED DIFERENT SETS OF LAWS FOR ITS CITIZENS.
This is sad fact about India which I am trying to highlight thru my signature. Hope this answers your quetstions.

Yes jsquare, that is truly unfair. However I think the bigger underlying problem is the monotheists scriptures, that they are entitled to take other peoples land by conquest and then call it holy liberated land. I believe you Hindus do not have in your literature that it is right to conquer. The christians and jews will never really confront the muslims over their religious banditry because it will bring into question all their lands and holy books. Perhaps it's up to you hindus to expose these criminals.
