Well according the quran, Allah only forbids things that are bad, for all good things are lawful 5/5,93, 6/145, 7/33, 157 etc. So you will have to wait till we get hold of Allah to tell us the problem with the pork. It could be a very long wait though because Allah may be busy doing other important things eg distributing hoories between the dead jihadies who have already done their bit for Allah.

Then why not also ban the consumption of beef because of the mad cow desease, and chicken for the avian flu?

The genetically modified influenza virus has killed 45 millions poeple in 1918, ie. more than the number of victims of the two world wars, whilst the mad cows kill only a neglected number of people. |

What's your point? There will always be genetically modified diseases. Mutate is what microbes— bacteria and viruses do to survive. Kinda like Muslims who have mutated into ever more virulent creatures—to where they are now specifically targeting and murdering children in the name of their blood god allahaha.
