A majority of Americans will not pay much attention to the World Cup this month while the rest of the world goes bananas about it because "soccer" should really be named "bograkab" - bunch-of-guys-running-around-kicking-a-ball.

Here's a synopsis of most every period of most every professional soccer game ever played:

Run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball - never score.

Run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball - never score.

Run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball, run around kick a ball - never score.

It doesn't get more exciting in sports than this. Except for curling.

What an ignorant person, obviously doesnt understand Football. Yes its called Football not your lame "soccar" Or maybe american "football" is a better term, in which they use anything but their feet. Just a spin off of Rugby.

By the way Czec defeated the US with a 3-0 win today.

Although he has graciously accepted americas fault with names here, me and you were on the same page. It also annoys me how they say Aluminium!

I'm sorry to say that, but any other team except Brazil winning the World Cup would only prove that not always it's the best who wins.

Yea but, if they don't win that would mean they are not the best, you get it? Brazil won't be best for ever, no one will it changes every world cup.

Yeah, but Brazil is anyway the best, and the best happen sometimes, fortunately rarely, to have bad luck. It won't be the case at this World Cup, anyway.

I nominate Netherland, Brazil and Portugal

I want England and Germany to lose.

Is that too much?

Holland will most likely play Portugal in the 1/8th final, unless we will try very hard to beat Argentina tonight, which I doubt as the most important thing for both Argentina and Holland is to not get injuries and no suspentions.

Ok ok I'm wayyyy older than 25 and I'm a big time American, that said Futbol Kicks Ass! How about that Portugal/ Holland game huh? Portugal and Brasil I hope will be the best game of the whole cup. I think Deco has tah sit it out though because of cards, that will hurt them. Watched the France/Spanish game on Mexican TV today Zedane played good, Thierry kept getting off sides, they still killed Spain anyway. The Mexico/Portugal game was pretty good too. Don't ask me about the US team though they suuuuuuck!
Adios...

Korean futbol ain't that good either, *maybe* a little bit better than US but they suck too. Now the WUSA is pretty damn good! Yes I love all futbol from little kids tah womens tah Mexican Club. And comparing rugby tah American football is like comparing apples tah rocks. My top favorite players are Christiano Ronaldo, Zidane, Rafa Marquez, Kristine Lilly and yeah everybody loves Rolandinho.
Anybody reading this a member of a club yah know actually play the Beautiful Game?
Adios...

I support Germany. There's nothing more to support - Portugal and Italy have teams of actors, and I do not like France either.
