Indeed, SECULAR law would be a more appropriate term than western law,but I couldn't think of it at the time

I went through a very similar time of questioning... Finding out the truth, then scurrying back to the safety of all the "pretty" Qur'anic verses. Thankfully, we have both left that all behind.
Welcome to FFI, I really enjoyed reading your story. I've already seen your posts in the forum, and look forward to reading some more in the future..
