No one, in the world, normally cares about Islamic or any other faith which is not his own. Why should Muslims care about Christianity or Christians should care about Islamic faith? It is only when one starts getting affected, positively or negatively, that this caring business starts. The process starts like this:

9/11 happens.

(I am not talking of specifically 9/11; it is just an example. It may be events of the past when Muslim armies attacked, conquered, killed, looted, raped, destroyed etc)

People come to know(forget for the moment rightly or wrongly) that the perpetrators are devout Muslims inspired by the concept of Jihad.

What is jihad, they ask.

They come to know that there are claims of two types: One is violent and the other is peaceful (again, I am not saying whether defensive or offensive, internal or external). Since they have seen only the violent and aggressive face of it, they get convinced that jihad is dangerous to them.

Then they try to find out what is the source of inspiration and find that the source is Quran and Muhammad who are considered by Muslims as infallible and directly connected to the almighty.

They also find that Muslims have almost unshakable faith in Quran and Muhammad, so it naturally follows that all the Muslims would support jihad and discrimination against non-Muslims. They feel it dangerously threatening.

Now, what is Islam? Is it a person or community who can be countered and contained? No, Islam resides in the minds and hearts of Muslims. So, Muslims are deemed to be dangerous to non-Muslims.

When they try to learn about Muhammad, they find that he had sex with a 9 year old (wife or no wife). They think it is pedophilia and find it abhorrent.

They come to know that Muhammad tortured Kinana till death to find out about the hidden treasures. They are shocked, and think how can such a person be messenger of God?

They come to know that Muhammad himself married more than 10 women, while claiming that Allah limits the no of wives to four. They feel that Muhammad was a hypocrite.

They come to know that Muhammad beheaded more than 500 captive people in a day. They are shocked; such a violent person!!

They come to know that Muhammad married a women same day he murdered her kin and slept (or tried to sleep) with her the same day! They think it is rape and are outraged.

They come to know that Muhammad used to loot caravans. Again, they are shocked to see such criminal acts by a supposedly messenger of God.

Then they find, to their horror, that Muslims are not shocked by these acts of Muhammad. On the contrary, they justify these acts with their full might and even try to emulate Muhammad.

They realize that Muslims' sense of morality, justice and world view is totally different.

And they start getting wary of Muslims.

Happy New Year to Everyone

Fear is the most powerful emotional tool, it can turn off the areas of the brain responsible for rational thought.
Is that why Muslims can't be rational?
