Here's a brief video of Sayed Parwiz...an Afghani journalist placed under arrest and sentenced to death for criticizing Islam...There's several petitions on the video which I recommend everyone sign as well and additionally it's on the main page of FaithFreedom...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajYaras4spw

My question to everyone reading this is...how will your position change towards Afghanistan, and the judicial system there if the ruling is lifted? And what if the ruling is lifted will this tell us?

My thoughts are muddled a little because to me it doesn't rest easy that a death sentence on a blogger could be made that easy.

I'm editing this because I feel that when I say "death sentence on a blogger could be made that easy," I don't imply that people who WRITE criticism of any kind deserve any punishment based on Free Speech rights. I mean as one of the images in the video implies it took the Afghani judge 4 mins and the decision was that he was going to die...I mean to me that's alarming.

Ameen started a thread on Parwiz Kambakhsh in the "Comments on Breaking News On Islam" dear TJZ

http://www.faithfreedom.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1051160#1051160

But I am so glad you opened a new thread on Parwiz., it is vital to keep update on him and on his death sentence by THE MUSLIM ROBOTS..

Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh

The latest news on Parwiz Kambakhsh was "Court sends Afghan death sentence journalist to hospital" and that was on June 1st 2008

Quote:
KABUL (AFP) — Afghanistan's appeal court referred Sunday a reporter sentenced to death on blasphemy charges to hospital for medical tests after he said he was tortured by security forces who fractured his nose.

Perwiz Kambakhsh, arrested late October and sentenced to death in January, has denied the charges and alleged security forces used torture to force him into a confession.

His defence lawyer, Mohammad Afzal Nuristani, repeated the allegation in court Sunday and requested the 23-year-old reporter be referred to hospital for forensic tests.

"My client has been tortured while in custody. He has suffered a fracture to his nose and damage to his wrist," he said.

Judge Abdul Salam Qazaizada agreed to allow the reporter to undergo tests and adjourned the case until the results were available.

Kambakhsh was sentenced to death by a primary court in his hometown of Mazar-i-Sharif, where he is a university student of journalism and had worked on a small, local newspaper.

He was accused of distributing an article he downloaded from the Internet which questions the Koran, the Muslim holy book, particularly its views on women.
Again., I would strongly suggest to young men & women who copy articles from web sites like FFI and write against Islam from THOSE LANDS THAT ARE RULED BY THESE ISLAMIC ROBOTS.. Please..STOP SUCH ACTIVITIES few more years....

What you could do is ...You just give the links to the ISLAMIC INTELLECTUALS of those lands and "tell them to go to these websites and deal with people here as these websites are spoiling the Image of Prophet of Islam and his political ideology...

with best wishes

Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh Feb 2008

Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh 1 month ago:

What a change in that young man's life., I hope he comes out if it with flying colors..

Kambakhsh appeared for the second time in a court hearing and asked the judge to give him another week to present his defense statement through a defense lawyer. During his first hearing last week admitted to the court to downloading from the Internet an article questioning tenets of Islam but denied the allegation that he had distributed it among fellow students at Balkh University in the north. Kambakhsh also rejected suggestions that he had insulted his faith, telling the court: "I'm a Muslim and will never allow myself to insult my religion.
Quote:
A primary court in Balkh province sentenced Kambakhsh to death at a closed-door hearing in January that he said lasted three minutes...

The Three minutes Judge.. Ha!.. Islamic BRAIN DEAD ROBOTS..

Meeting Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh in Prison ... Nasim Fekrat

Quote:
It is not easy to meet Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh in prison. He is condemned because of blasphemy and any one who dares to meet him, has the perspective of being questioned or followed by police man, inside the prison. "Visitors who are visiting Kambakhsh will be followed by police because they are controlling Kambakhsh's relations outside of the prison". I was already told that by a friend of mine, who is a police officer.
Quote:
It was almost 11:00AM, at least one hour left to meet the prisoners; I had to meet Parwiz Kambakhsh to let him know that he is the winner of the Freedom of Expression award in Italy. Standing in line for minutes where hundreds of people waited just the same to meet their relatives, imprisoned. At the gate of the prison a police man with a board marker signed visitor's hands, next door the visitors have to deliver their mobiles phones and knives.

Before approaching the meeting room for the prisoners, there are two check points, one where stamps were put on the visitors hands and the last one is the control to make sure the visitor doesn't carry something that can be dangerous or suspicious. My right hand was signed by a big marker and stamped at the last check point before entering into the prison.

The salon is terribly noisy, you can't hear even your own voice. Visitors are shouting to the prisoners and prisoners shout to visitors. The guy who called the prisoners is called "Jarchi" (Farsi). It was the second time I asked him to call Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh, and then immediately he appeared. I waved to him and went a step closer behind the bars but the reticulated wall of metals didn't allow me to touch his fingers.
Quote:
He seemed disappointed and desperately waved at me. Only for a few seconds I got closer to him, closer to hear him, which was difficult because of the noise. Suddenly my left shoulder was pulled back roughly and I saw two policemen who asked me what I was telling to Kambakhsh.

The police men didn't allow me to get closer to him anymore. But I had a chance to tell Mr.Kambakhsh about the prize, that he become a winner by the Information Safety and Freedom award (ISF) in Italy. He expressed his feeling to be happy to hear that, but the final words I heard from him were: "I need help to get out of the prison."

The police men didn't give me another chance to talk with him anymore, so I waved to him and promised to spread his message outside.
Yes.. there are few moments and few words in life that makes the SO CALLED blasphemy prisoners like Kambakhsh happy..So that is the news from few days back...Nov 23, 2008..

Thank you Nasim Fekrat..

Damn He lost the weight also.. but his spirits are high...Is there a God? where is Allah??..where are the hell are you???

Only for downloading anti Muslim stuff!!! That's so stupid! I mean why are they so insecure? Seems they themselves do not have any real faith in their religion ...
