amarkhan.....hi, and a big welcome.

Whilst you must exercise great care, I hope that you dont "have to live a lie"..........are there some safe ways there you can assist other young people "question" islam and what it is????

I certainly hope so......and they too can fly as free human beings with respect for themself and others, like yourself.

Congratulations on your realization and thank you for sharing your story. Hopefully, more Pakistanis will come to the same understanding that you have.

dear faraz
i am very nervous now a days
because keeping a truth inside my heart is very difficult job
living among fools is very difficult too.
i do debates but when there comes religious extremism i always have to retreat.

i am facing it very difficult to digest this truth

But i have decided that i will only free my younger brothers and cousins and friend slowly but i will not indulge in any of my elder.

A piece of advice, amarkhan:
You KNOW that Islam is a lie.
Do not go about fearing to say the shahadah and such utter nonsense, it is just a bunch of meaningless words to you.
They don't have any power over you. It is just nonsense.

What that means is that you shouldn't be afraid of dissembling, in order to make your own life easier and safer.

It is not your fault that you live in a place where you can openly be an apostate.

But now that you are that, you should try out and just confirm for yourself that the most pious prayers the Muslims say is just gobbledigook, not affecting your brain and personality any longer.

In this way, you may guard yourself and your family from attacks from Islamists.

Dear faraz
I am very nervous now a days because keeping a truth inside my heart is very difficult job living among fools is very difficult too. amarkhan,
I can only try to imagine how difficult it is for you to express yourself without fear. It must be unbearable. I cannot advice you how to conduct yourself when you are dealing with religious extremists because I never had that kind of experience when talking to Christians, Jews and Hindus about religion. Christians, Jews and Hindus do not react violently when you criticize their religions. I live in Canada. I had open and frank discussions about Christianity with some very religious Christians. I have never been threatened in any manner whatsoever or physically or verbally assaulted. As a matter of fact, Christians, Jews and Hindus are the biggest critics of their respective religions.

Perhaps, you have to adopt an indirect approach and talk about freedom of religion with Muslims and bring to their attention to the problems in Islamic countries due to Islam or the way Islam is practiced.

Please keep in mind that I am just thinking out loudly here and no way I am asking you how to deal with your Muslim family members or friends. That would be very presumptuous of me.
