Germany: Preacher of Non-Violent Islam Beats His Wife

Left: A scene from Theo Van Gogh’s movie ‘Submission’, for which he was murdered by a Muslim. Right: Sheikh Abu Adam
Sheikh Abu Adam, the imam of Munich mosque, Germany has been arrested for beating his wife. In public, he opposes all types of violence and preaches a peaceful Islam. He also works with the German government on interfaith issues.
Adam broke his wife’s nose and shoulder. She further suffered several cuts and bruises.
Apparently, Adam had a reason to become angry. His 31 year old wife dared to live a more ‘western’ lifestyle.
According to the lawyer of the victim, Adam recited two verses of the Quran to justify his action while beating his wife .
“Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them.”
“As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.”
Ironically, just a week before, Adam lectured at the city’s Catholic University on a topic that he named, “An Islam which distances itself from violence.”

i think its good to leave abusive and rude comments from muslim just to show people the real true muslim's mind
@Ibnsahr: You have a point. There's enough lag time before mods can delete them anyway, so people are going to see some of that anyway. Plus, for the mainstream, there's plenty of exposure to Muslim mindset in comment sections on regular news sites like Yahoo. We're up against content filters too. A lot of bad language and hate speech gets the site a bad rating. Then kids doing homework projects or just curious about current events and the news won't be able to access this site. They are the next generation of leaders and politicians, so they need this information.
so much anger. so much hatred. religion of peace?
