"But the Nazis did the same

"But the Nazis did the same thing to the Jews...so don't judge us Muslims for doing the same to Christians."

Muslims often use this excuse when I try to show them the evil in Islam. They somehow justify their atrocities with Nazis & the Crusaders.

The irony about Muslims using

The irony about Muslims using the Crusaders is this: the Crusades (esp. the first) were a very belated and partial response to centuries of Islamic "crusades" (jihad) and raid (Razias) on the Christian West.
Moslem raiders even sacked Rome itself (and its Churches) on one occasion and Jihad reached France on another before being defeated and forced into rather ignominious retreat (thank you Charles Martel).
As ever, this focussing on the Crusades by Muslims ignores their own history and allows them to parade their victim-mentality again, ("see how cruel and oppressive you were to us!") which in turn allows them to 'justify' (I use the term loosely) any and all Jihads as 'defensive' since it allows Muslims to regard (all un-conquered) non-moslems as "oppressors".
