Hello,
Your video is very interesting however, excessively narrowminded.
No your friend or loved one did not deserve to be killed for not wearing hijab if that is what happened.
However, you are assuming that people are wearing hijab because they are being made to and that they want to take it off in public.
I am an American that is not an immigrant American nor are my parents. They are American's how reverted to Islam in the 60's. As a female that was born and raised an American Muslim, I have not experienced the cultural experiences of Arabs and Indo/Pak's that makes hijab such a negative issue.
Don't assume and don't generalize. The Muslim female experience is not synonymous. Most American Muslims (I am refering to those who do not come from immigrant or Arab and South East Asian families) DO NOT HAVE HIJAB ISSUES! Nonetheless, the tone of your video assumes we all do.
I would suggest that you open your mind and study Islam for yourself. It sounds like you are confusing cultural experiences with the practice of Islam. Hijab is not about people, parents, community members, etc.
It is about God's commandments, respect for women and not objectification of women and concern with pleasing the Almighty Creator and living a righteous, moral and modest life. It matters not what one's parents think because on the Day of Reckoning it only matters what Almighty God thinks.
I am not going to remove my hijab in public in front of men that are not members of my immediate family because they have no right to enjoy my beauty. Why should any female give away their precious gift of honor and modesty to satisfy the desires of another woman.
It sounds rather selfish and very immature. Would this be what your friend or loved one wanted?
Probably not.
May the Alimighty guide you and bless you with understanding, love and peace of mind.

Just taking off hijab.. cannot serves a freedom for a women..rather it takes you to the crunch of men's hand for sexual abuse, voilence and therefore you are leading youself towards the sexual abuse by men.
Dont generalize this as a issue or need of freedom. It is not an issue for the muslim women, who has realized the importance of hijab. I think it is you have the problem and you are already free from the hijab system, but in the hands of sexual abuses or may be you are inviting men to showcase your beauty thy creates sexual desires particularly in men. if you are married or even if you are un married ask your husband when his glance falls if by chance within your friends women and ask what's that his personal experience on that occasion. I dont know what you have to say about non-muslim women in western, many 7 out of 10 are unmarried mothers by adultery and sexual abuses by your men.
Let me tell you one thing friend, you just check it out honestly and watch your 50 years or 100years or older movies and see the sign of christian's culture when it comes hijab. verily you can find in common code in many of the forefathers who lived and passed over.
Hijab is not a new for women and men. In fact you have to understand that even men are not allowed to go freely in public with showcasing their parts. In Islam for men thats foremost importance is given to wear cloth cover from the toes and up to neck", secondly adviced to women to save for her purity.
Please go search in google and input this words "priests and christians, sexual abuse", you will get hundreds and millions of such acts..
What is the object of the hijab? Hijab for a women to respect her, safeguard her from the sexual violences. The point here hijab is not any benefit for Allah, Allah knows who created a man and a women and kows the weakness of humanity. This is the testament of one of good and bad things like how people influence and whether you prefer to be beyond good to reach the Almighty Allah, or choose your self to the hands of evil by evil deeds.
Faithfreedom.org echoes the voice of ex-Muslims who want to stop the spread of Islam, expose its violent nature, and help Muslims to understand it and leave it. We believe in the oneness of humanity and oppose Islam for inciting hatred against non Muslims. Muhammad instructed his follower to conquer the world by the sword and to rule it with terror. We are determined to not let that happen.

Go in Peace!
No moslem women will ever
No moslem women will ever defend this girl, they will never respect her even, with those little brains of theirs.
As a western woman you get insulted everywhere in the arab world for no reason, and no local woman ever will defend you.
Prove me wrong if you can.
