May God have mercy on you, for you are truly misguided and disillusioned. There is only one God, all his Prophets were a mercy on humanity from Adam down to Muhammad. Their messages were pure. To believe in one God, to practice equity, justice, compassion and tolerance. Your site seems to be lacking those values. You are filled with hate and bitterness and I doubt will see anything beyond your twisted concept of Islam. I respect all religions and the right to practice them, in anyway seen fit. God has his own way of dealing with "Jahils" like you. Shazia Dear Shazia, I fully understand your reaction and that is the reaction of lot of muslims when they first encounter the truth that FFI tells. I know you think that the ex-muslims are misguided and lost and "jahils". But what if they are not? You have already seen the site. So why don't you pick what you consider the most egregious lie or error or mistake that FFI states about Islam or Muhammed, and tell us, and ask us to show you why we think we are not mistaken and not ignorant. AliSina uses the Islamic scriptures and the words of the Islamic Scholars themselves to open up the truth about Islam. You owe it to yourself to find out for sure whether we are jahils or you have been fed lies as are the overwhelming number of muslims. What if the Islam that the terrorists and extremists say they are following is the actual word of Islam? Do you really think that Dr. Zawahiri is ignorant and a fool? Do you think that Usama bin Laden is illiterate and does not know Islamic scriptures? Why do you think they have interpreted Islam the way they have? Don't you owe it to yourself to find out? regards, Doubtless To: faithfreedom2@gmail.com Date: Apr 7, 2006 4:19 PM Subject: Re: What a Disgrace God has blinded you and turned your hearts into stone. I can present my argument and we can go back and forth till eternity. Your version of "truth" is your perception of what you want to believe. I would like to suggest some scholars of comparative religion for your guidance. Modern Scholar has some great audio collections, such as Prof. Peters and Prof Nasr's lectures. You should also look into Karen Armstrong, who was so disillusioned by Christianity that she gave up her order (she was a nun). Your revulsion for the practices of that time are understandable. You need to have an understanding of the culture in Arabia 1400 years ago. I stills see glimpses of that ignorance prevalent in some cultures today. However, that is no reason for me to hate all Muslims or all Arabs because of their way of life. You should be fair in your biases, your targeting Islam represents your own ignorance and hatred. I could not careless whether you are ex-muslims, jews or christians. You are an ignorant lot. Mr. Ali has been quoting various Hadith. I do not follow the hadith. Those are unreliable sources, the Hadith were written 200-300 years after the Prophet's death. I have read a number of Hadith including Bukhari's, they are a good source for understanding events of that time. However, only the Quran is a guide for people, to follow if they wish. No one is forced in Islam. During each Prophets time the cultures were very different. If we start examining other Prophets none of them were perfect, they were after all "human." Moses a murderer, David an adulterer, Noah a drunk and so on.... The beauty of the Quran is that you do not need to follow others perceptions of Gods message. Read it yourself, and use it as a guide, it is simply written and beautiful to comprehend. Mr. Ali and others like him will never see the truth. Quranic verses has been twisted by people like him many times in the past. They have all failed in their attempts to malign the Holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam. You will also fail. I do not consider people like Mr. Bin Laden a Muslim. They are NOT Muslims, but murderers. I do not care what such individuals believe in, there is no difference between Mr. Ali and Mr. Bin Ladens perceptions of Islam. They are both ignorant fools. You need to look into the history of the early Israelites, the early Christians and the decadence and evil prevalent at that time. However, that is not your goal or focus. This is a total waste of time for me. I regret that your experience as a Muslim was so disheartening. I also feel that people like you are not worthy of God. May God have mercy on all of you. Shazia Dear Shazia, It is not an issue of you presenting your arguments and we arguing back and forth. You castigate AliSina for presenting a distorted picture of Islam. I am completely aware of Nasr's work and writings and also of Karen Armstrongs opinions (inspite of her testimonials, she has not converted to Islam. Why?). If you are going to castigate someone, is it not reasonable to show atleast one example where the person has lied, or mislead, or distorted? Again why don't you select the most egregious error or lying or distortion being presented by Ali, and atleast see whether that is the case or not? Is Muhammed not lauded as the best example, Rahmet-al-Almin, a mercy for all men for all time? Do not muslims try to emulate him to the smallest detail? Does that not state that Muhammed and his actions be judged not only in that culture and at that time in history but for all time? If Muhammed was a conqueror like Changez Khan, one could place his actions in that time of history, but Islam statess that Muhammed was the Seal of Prophets, the dearest of Allah, some even claim Muhammed's nur was created before the creation of the Universe. Don't you think it is reasonable to examine the actions of such a prophet in the light of what we know now and not only what the society was like in the backwaters of the world in 7th century? If you do not want to take the Hadiath into account, but only want to consider the Quran, that is fine. Can you really understand the Quran without the context provided by the hadeeth? For example you say no one is forced in Islam. Have you not been reading the news how the afghani convert was being threatened with death for being an apostate? Is that not force? How many forced conversions to Islam would you like to see that have been recorded in history? You do not consider Bin Laden a muslim, but Bin Laden and his followers consider themselves muslims and they quote the Quran when they speak to the world. Is AliSina twisting the words of the Quran more or the people who call themselves muslims? Dear Shazia the issue is not the early history of those times. The issue is the present. You judge us. You say we are not worthy of God. Okay. But I am trying to talk to you because I think you are a human with a good heart and it is worth my time to reach out to you and try to show you the truth about Islam that a lot of ex-muslims arrive at at a great cost and effort. Do you not think that the humanity in you calls out to show me where has AliSina lied or misled? Seventy nine poor iraqis were killed today by exploding human bombers who consider shia's kaffirs, and their masters claim they are muslims. They did that because they think they know the Quran better than you. Do they? They claim the status of Shaheeds, and there are many many muslims around the world who agree with them. regards, doubtless.
