Subject: Frighteningly enlightening
I had never heard of your website until I read the
DilbertBlog yesterday. Scott Adams wrote a blog about
the violent nature of the Quran. Many responses to his
comments included a link to your site.
I read one post on the blog from someone who seemed
educated and articulate in his comments about why the
Islamic religion is violence-based and it was his link
to your site I followed.
I read two of your debates. The second one was
horrifying. The person you were debating in that was
so far off the mark of your argument that I found
myself admiring your tenacity in staying with the
debate and attempting to get your opponent to stay on
subject and on task. It was like reading a discussion
between a Junior High School Principal and a
belligerant 7th grader.
Immediately following 9/11 I attempted to find out
what Islam was about. I felt that (hoped) the guys who
did the deeds were extremists and not the majority. I
did not know where to look for unbiased information on
Islam in general, and in fact, wound up at sites that
were telling me how stupid I was for "seeking the
truth too late". I decided that ALL Islamic followers
were just bent and twisted on even the most basic of
levels, but being true to my own faith and being a
follower of that same Golden Rule, I decided that if I
left them alone and didn't treat them badly, perhaps
they would do the same for me. After reading the
things I did on your site, I feel like an idiot for my
approach because I assumed that the Golden Rule was in
fact, universal and that humans everywhere... yes
EVERYWHERE... have an inherent instinct to follow that
rule.
I am truly frightened by learning that Islam has no
Golden Rule. The Golden Rule to me, implies love. It
implies a love of self and a respect of self that
translates into loving others and respecting others.
Where is hope without something that says things will
be better if we just behave like humans? It is no
wonder those people act like they do. They don't care
what happens to them or theirs. They have no hope, no
love, no faith in the good side of humans or anything
else for that matter.
On the one hand, I am very thankful that you are so
educated and informed about Islam that you are well
equipped to debate even 'scholars' of the Muslim
world. On the other hand, when I read the reader's
comments from the Muslims, I was amazed to find myself
reading posts that were only marginally above
cyber-graphitti. What an incredible contradiction.
I am glad I found your site and extremely thankful
that you and others are doing and saying what needs to
be said and done.
Thank you.

Thank you for your encouraging words. AliSina is extremely busy with tasks related to the website and I am helping out. We do need to make as many people alert to the truth about what we face, and making them aware of FFI is a step towards that. Please tell as many as you can that we exist and that we are telling it as it is.
regards,
Doubtless
