I am really worried about that baby. They will kill her. They are determined to kill her.

I think thanks to media publicity, she will not be harmed. Instead of following muhammed's crude way of dealing with apostates, they will try to brainwash her using other strategem like relatives will come and convince her about false goodness of islam . She will not be harmed physically in US, but lot of mental pressure will be put onto her. Even that is also not done , then they will play taqiya and marry her of to some muslim , who will 'TAKE care of her'. Also she may be taken to Sri Lanka and will get 're-education In Islam' in some mosque like communist gulag or communist education camp. Instead of sending her to her parents, she should be placed under some foster care centre.
People still dont have knowledge about Islam. Its a most violant and dangerous cult, where satan worshiping of allah is more important than human relationships like parent-child, husband-wife.
Only way she can be safe is that , her parents do some research in Islam and leave this dangerous cult.

DHAREMA, PAKISTAN (Worthy News)-- A Christian schoolgirl in Pakistan's Punjab province was recovering Sunday, October 11, after she was allegedly "ruthlessly beaten" with a bamboo stick by a Muslim headteacher for saying she is "a Pakistani" citizen.

The bedridden Nadia Iftikhar, 11, told Worthy News and its partner agency BosNewsLife that she was seriously injured when the teacher of the local evening coaching school 'Bright Future Academy' in the town of Dharema got angry because she challenged her views on Islam.

Our teacher was teaching us about the culture of Pakistan and Pakistani people and quoted a sentence from the text book saying 'We are Pakistani and all of us are Muslims'," the girl recalled. "At this point I interrupted and said: "Madam, I am also a Pakistani, but not a Muslim instead I am a Christian."

The teacher, identified as Humaira Hassa, "got furious and grabbed a bamboo stick and started thrashing in a barbarian way and kept saying all Pakistanis are Muslim, you are not a Pakistani but a Christian," the girl said. "Your home land is some where in Europe or America," the teacher allegedly said.

Nadia added showed scars of the wounds at her back. Classmates said the girl briefly became unconscious, but was eventually brought home. The teacher could not be reached for comment.

NO POLICE

The girl's father, Iftikhar Masih, 45 said he did not went to local police. "I am an impoverished Christian man and am busy working for a daily wage to feed my family."

Local Christians in Punjab province have also complained of police complicity in attacks against Christian believers. However I have taken her to the doctor and and we believe that her injuries will be healed and she will be able to return to her school.

It was not immediately clear whether the 6th grade girl would be welcomed again by the Bright Future Academy where she said she has been studying for three years.

The attack is no isolated incident in the tense province, Christians said. There have been protests in Punjab province against attacks on churches and individuals and alleged persecution by authorities.

Unfortunately for both you and them, this is the West, more particularly America, where people of all ages have "rights".
I know that many moslems don't believe in human rights or freedom etc (I've seen the banners, heard the chants) but bad luck again.

I have no doubt that the law of America provides for a minor to be protected from his/er parents if the parents are seeking to harm him/her.
I think that there may be a simple litmus test in this case.
I agree with those who opined that Rifqa would not be killed in the US. I suspect that there would be to much media interest to allow the family to do so and get away with it. It would also be used in any further cases to set legal a precendent - which (fortunately) would be detrimental to moslems, so I suspect they'd just "suck it up" - at least for the time being.

But, if she is removed from the Country (as Ali sina fears #27596) then I too fear for her life. The US can't protect her in (eg) Sri Lanka and the death of an apostate would definitely NOT be news there or in any other (not Western) Country with a large moslem population.

Finally, this is not (fundamentally) about Islam, it is about Human Rights.

Do I understand you correctly in that it is "normal and acceptable" for you that a Muslim Sheikh may even consider, have a say, about the VERY LIFE of an apostate, when adult? That such an adult in the opinion of Muslims Sheikhs and you too, deserve or even MIGHT DESERVE a death sentence?
