Rifqa Bary and the Noor Mosque

The media is circulating with so many stories and only focus on what Rifqa says. They don't stop to think once about whether there is another side to this story and that maybe the parents also have a say in it. This is like the story of the "wolf and the boy". The boy cried one too many times that the wolf is coming just for amusing himself. When actually the wolf came no one believed him because they thought he was fooling again. Just because there were honor killing before and apostates and other girls were murdered by their own family they catergorize this case in the same boat. True enough Rifqa has a fear and that fear is real. But who put that fear into her mind?

This girl has every right to fear for her life. It is an Islamic practice for family members to execute apostates such as her. Why would'nt she fear her family?
It is about time the world found out about the real Islam, and put a stop to Islamic human rights abuses.

Might I point out that the Noor Islamic Cultural Center often has Rabbis as guest speakers? There are very few better ways to judge a mosque (or synagogue, or church, for that matter) than to see how they get along with people of different faiths. In this case, the fact that the mosque has a good working relationship with Jews is even more important. Radical Muslims simply do not invite Jews (let alone Rabbis) to speak with them. They are centuries old enemies who have only recently begun to accept each other.

yes mosques invite Jews and other Non-muslims, but it is to do dawah, i.e. to introduce islam to Non-muslims (a commanded job for all Muslims) or even takiya/kitman, i.e. to lie/deceit to protect or advance islam.

It is in no way what we think as interfaith or to get along with other faiths: you will never see a imam or sheikh going to a Church or Synagogue and even less kiss another faith holy book, like the Popes did to the koran. They invite Non-muslims so those will in exchange repeat the usual incorrect tantra that islam is misunderstood and a religion of peace, or so that the media happily report the meeting and take the opportunity to explain again to the public about the beauty of Ramadan or about Mrs. X who converted and praises her new faith as the best religion ever for the women.

They invite just for propaganda.

Radical muslims, examples hamas or ahmadenijad, do invite Jews, but those Jews who act like dhimmis, knowingly or not knowingly.

Jews are not the enemies of the Muslims, like they weren't the enemies of the nazis. They were/are just their victims. Victims who eventually woke up and defended themselves.

You are right. We should be given the statements of the other side. Like ahadiths where mohamed wants the death of the apostates or koranic verses where allah wants the Non-muslims (apostates are Non-muslims, aren't they?) to be subdued, enslaved, raped or killed. Or like the juridic texts of all the 4 islamic school of thougths that all say the apostates males have to be killed if they don't recant soon (sometimes females are spared but enjailed in their room for life). Or the shariah laws that of course say the same.

Then we will know for a fact that what put the fear in Rifqa's mind is ... islam.

The truth is that Islam is a Crazy religion and is Madness Personified formed for the worship of a Mentally Retarded Arab Criminal who claimed to be a prophet of God. The Quran is filled with hate and bullshit against everybody else including muslim women. The only people who have rights according to this book are the Muslim men....... The Quran is the Dumbest Book ever known to man.. Its high time the whole (Kuffar) world united against this madness and put an end to it... Peace.

The world will never be a better place as long as islam still exist. Eliminating islam means preserving human existance.

It baffles me how so many people are so ignorant about basic facts? Muslims and Jews have not had a long history of enmity, at least not compared with Christianity and Judaism (forced living in slums, holocaust, the Spanish inquisition, etc., etc., etc.). The Jews fled Spain and settled in Morocco and Turkey, under whom you ask? Yes, Muslims. The fact of the matter is that things have flared up over the past 50 years due to political reasons related to Zionism and the creation of the state of Israel, not lifelong battles between creeds.

Keep in mind that some of the worst crimes in the history of the world have been perpetuated in the name of Christianity. African slavery, the crusades, the inquisition, the extermination of the American Indians, the burning of heretics at the stake, midevil torture, have all had the seal of approval from the church, and all had members who devoutly believed that they were fulfilling Christ's mandate. How is it that you think that people jusifying cruel things by way of religion is unique to Islam?

But I doubt anybody cares enough to learn basic facts. Muslimz iz badz, Islamz is evil, yada yada yada.

And FYI, there are 1.3 billion Muslims in this world, we ain't going anywhere baby.

we think there exists something like Islamic propaganda, told by Islamic leaders, preachers, ordinary Muslims to other Muslims, their children from birth. In this propaganda we notice History is shockingly distorted, the good of Islam/ Muslims is extolled and the bad is omitted, and the opposite is done with the other religions and atheism and the behavior of their followers. And there are shameless lies in it too and the tone is often as insulting as humans can get. We are informed of this by FFI and others, but also often experience it ourselves when we speak with Muslims about faith and the world, when Muslims like you post on FFI and other websites. time and again we encounter traces of this propaganda.

That alone is a very good raison d'etre for FFI and other such websites. To counter that propaganda with scrutiny of the (finite) Islamic holy texts, and it will be thoroughly, totally analysed by followers of other beliefs and atheists this century, so no false or half-false Islamic propaganda will be believed any more by inquisitive people. Furthermore the crimes against humanity done by self-confessed muslims in past and present shall be examined, monitored, reported and commented on. With impeccable sources and with logical arguments. So Islamic propaganda will be countered, balanced.

Having said all this I still can admit to you that indeed crimes against humanity have been committed by all sorts of human groups, religions. You yourself forgot the Aztecs/ Maya's for instance, who were not influenced at all by either Christianity and Islam, yet behaved at times gruesomely.

No, Islam was not worse than the other religions, then. But in the 21st century it will be very hard for Muslims to really prove that Islam did/ does anything at all to prevent all those crimes against humanity perpetrated by self-confessed Muslims. And hence very hard to prove that Islam is superior to the other main religions or atheism. Really hard to prove to all those people, including young Muslims, who honestly ardently search for the truth I mean.
