Obama to speak in Cairo! Rich liberal Jews enthralled!

I suppose the Army Corps of Engineers will be out surveying a spot for the Barack Obama Memorial any day now. If the folks had shown such affection for Herbert Hoover the Depression wouldn’t have lasted half as long as it did…and it would have saved FDR a couple of five-year plans.

They have already named a school after Obama on Long Island. All George W. Bush is going to get is a library and he’s going to have to pay for that himself. Well, it serves him right for being illiterate. If he had learned how to use a teleprompter like Mr. Obama he would have made a first-class president.

The Ludlum Elementary School in the Hempstead Union Free School District is now officially the Barack Obama Elementary School. He should have held out for a Junior College or at least a wing at Harvard. Some kids at Boulder High in Colorado want to change the name of their ‘institution o’ learning’ to Barack Obama High School. A couple of years ago the kids at this same school wrote their own version o’ the Pledge of Allegiance. Right innovative they were, too. Instead of finishing the Pledge with, “for the Republic for which it stands,” they changed it to read, “and to the diversity, in which our nation stands.”

How that would have set with Sergeant Stryker and Audie Murphy is hard to tell. Course, none of those kids were at Valley Forge or with General Doolittle on his raid and the chances are they have sucked up more recreational drugs and wild ideas than Willie and Joe liberated wine cellars in France and Holland in the Big One. But you got to give those kids credit for chutzpah if not for originality. Calvin and Hobbes rewrote the Pledge of Allegiance at least a half dozen times.

But it does seem a bit early to be naming schools after the President. Lincoln and Washington had to wait years and years before they got something named after them. St. Patrick didn’t get to be patron saint of Ireland until he had rid the Emerald Isle o’ snakes. Unfortunately, Obama seems to have brought a few of the reptile persuasion with him to Washington. Take this Rosa Brooks. She worked for Hongju Koh, the pro-Sharia lawyer. The President has appointed her to a position in the Defense Department. She’s about as friendly to Israel as a starving anteater would be to a colony of termites. As for Bush and Cheney…Well, to her considered opinion, they are war criminals! And Obama has appointed this rascal Koh as legal adviser to the State Department.

Well, Lincoln appointed Simon Cameron, Secretary of War, and Warren G. Harding appointed Harry Daugherty, Attorney General. They said the only thing Cameron wouldn’t steal would be a red-hot stove and Daugherty sold pardons out of his office like tickets to a Bruce Springsteen concert. I suppose if Ms Brooks gets it into her head to steal a red-hot stove the President will try his best to stop her—it’s already too late to do anything about those Camp Getmo pardons.

And the President has promised to put an end to that business-as-usual stuff. He intends to get tough with Israel. The Jews have been put on notice—no more looking the other way while IDF beats up on those poor Palestinians. The President will engage in a meaningful dialogue with Israel’s enemies—Iran, Syria, the PLO, Jordan, North Virginia-stan; Saudi Arabia. He’s going to hold talks with just about everybody but the Ku Klux Klan and the Copperhead wing of the Democratic Party.

Next month the President is going to Cairo to address the Muslim world. Jimmy Carter would have done it from the Oval Office, but there wasn’t any Muslim world when Jimmy was elected President. In fact, it was Jimmy who invented the Muslim world—another thing we can blame on the Carter years. It wasn’t all Olympics, Billy Beer and attack rabbits.

JFK went to Latin American to address the Catholic countries but the Pope doesn’t count for much these days and neither do the Catholics. Obama is going to address them at Notre Dame whether they like it or not. It all comes down to military strength. How many divisions does the Pope have? Isn’t that what Hitler asked? About as many as the Coptic Christians, I would imagine. Don’t look good for those folks either.

I don’t know how the President intends to open his speech. I wrote down a few of my favorite lines. “Ah’m just as proud to be here.” That’s a good one and there’s, “This is Barack ‘Camp Jihad’ Obama.” I just hope it won’t be, “My fellow Muslims.” One thing I know he’s not going to say is, “If you’re not with us, you’re against us.” I don’t think he packs a ten-gallon hat in his saddlebags.

But all this talk about restoring normal relations with the Muslim world is confusing. What’s going on is normal. We’re still living in the dar al-Harb and they are still the dar al-Islam. We are apes and pigs and face a painful doom unless we convert to Islam. That’s been their religion—or their politics—for 1,400 years. Richard the Lion-Heart knew that. Winston Churchill knew it. I had a talk the other day with George Costanza. He knows it. Why is the President of the United States of America always the last person to find out?

Now I’m not saying Cairo is Munich and Barack Obama is Neville Chamberlain but I do believe the Democratic Party has been acting more like Woody Allen than John Wayne and is closer to Rowan Williams and Noam Chomsky than to Benedict XVI and Barney Miller. This Cairo speech could be one mighty small step for Obama but one giant step for Islam

This is not as far-fetched as it seems. If I remember correctly, when FDR held a prayer service in the national capitol he didn’t invite Father Coughlan. No, sir…maybe Spencer Tracy, but not Father Coughlan! But look who Obama invited to his very first presidential inaugural prayer service! He invited Ingrid Mattson of the Islamic Society of North America! Now, Ingrid is a fine lady, no doubt, but the organization she represents is a mite odious. They were listed as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Hold Land Foundation investigation. Those rascals collected more then $12 billion for Hamas! Hamas! The US Government recognized Hamas as a terrorist organization in 1995! That’s 25 years ago! You would think the word would have leaked out by now.

And these rascals with the Islamic Society of North America has close ties to the Islamic Brotherhood, supports Sharia Law in the United States and has made more excuses for Osama bin Laden than even bin Laden is willing to accept. Father Coughlan, as far as I know, never struck a dog or raised money for a terrorist group. He was an anti-Semite and a bigot but compared to the rascals we have to put up with these days appears refreshingly honest.

If I were an Israeli, I would pay close attention to what Obama is going to say in Cairo and I would hold off naming a synagogue after him. But you never can tell what those rich old liberal Jews in Florida are likely to do. Far shame.
