He may not relish the comparison but it is now becoming increasingly obvious that Mr Barack Obama is the most hostile American President for India since Richard Nixon. In the eight months he has been in office, Mr Obama has snubbed India more than once. He has sent repeated signals that New Delhi is not integral to his Asian security architecture. Partly as a result of his country’s economic crisis, he has bent over backwards to accommodate China. His open advocacy of protectionism has been most visibly targeted at outsourcing of technology jobs to India. He headlined anti-trade legislation by saying it would punish those who created jobs in Bangalore rather than Buffalo, a special mention that was extraordinarily impolitic and did not go unnoticed in India. In contrast, the tariff war against Chinese tyres has not been posited in such stark bilateral terms. This past week, the Obama team reversed a decade of American nuclear pragmatism and went back to an outdated non-proliferation agenda that should have died, really, in the 1990s. Once more, India has been asked to give up its nuclear weapons and sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as a second-tier power. Most alarmingly, Mr Obama has swung wildly on Afghanistan-Pakistan (AfPak). At various points his diplomats and Generals have said different things. Yet, in all this the overarching political message has been missing.
There has been a remarkable absence of clarity on Mr Obama’s strategic goals. In the early months, it was easy to pretend he was making up his mind. Now, it would seem he has no mind. His confusion on AfPak and constant shifting of tactical milestones would suggest he has little understanding of the nature of the challenge there and, behind those engaging phrases, is thoroughly confused. If the Obama Administration’s most recent thoughts on AfPak are taken as final, the American President is looking to cut and run. He would want to begin bringing troops home by early 2012, in time for his re-election. This would mean delegating Afghanistan to the Pakistani Army, and asking it to control the Taliban. It would also activate a lethal Saudi-Pakistani-Taliban alliance. This formidable combination of wealth, geography, religious appeal, unending foot-soldiers and nuclear weapons would create a monster power straddling south and west Asia. To some degree, it could be offset by a strong India and a stable Iran, which would flank AfPak. However, Mr Obama is determined that Teheran must not pursue its Bomb and India should be pressured to sign the NPT. Strangely, he has not considered asking Pakistan to give up its nukes in return for billions of dollars of “sustained and expanded commitment”.
Given the intensely and admirably egalitarian nature of the United States presidential election process, it has always been a theoretical possibility that the country will send to the White House a person inexperienced in global affairs and unequal to the international situation before him. Often this has not been the case, and incumbents have risen to the job. Sixty years ago, Harry S Truman had limited first-hand knowledge of great power bargaining but turned out to be farsighted enough to anticipate the Cold War. Mr Obama is the antithesis of this phenomenon. He is completely out of his depth and will probably leave behind a dangerous and unsure legacy. India could have done without this neophyte.

This is characteristic of all NPD sufferers. They shift positions and flip flop. They say what brings them more applause on the moment and don't mean anything they say. The whole exercise is to elicit applause, admiration and recognition. Gullible folk fall for these charlatans and then they regret and accuse the narcissist of not following through his promises. The only people they have to blame is themselves. The narcissist is what he or she is. They cannot change. They act according to their psychopathology and are very predictable. It is those fools who trust these psychopaths that have to be blamed for their stupidity and willful ignorance. The truth about Obama's disorder was known to those who understand malignant narcissism and I wrote about it extensively before the elections. Those who decided to hide their heads in the sand and not see the truth and not hear the voice of reason are the ones to be blamed.
Obama wrote in his book that he would always stand on the side of Muslims. What part of this you did not understand?

This poseur president is fully aware of the consequence of the withdrawal of American troops and the disaster that will ensue. That is why in spite of his promises to bring the troops home immediately after his election he is dillydallying and has postponed it to just before the 2012 election. In this way the disaster will happen during his second term (assuming Americans don’t wake up to kick him out of the office much before that time) and so he can be reelected.

She brought down an axe in powerful blows, killing the terrorist on the spot.
She then charged at his partner who, nonplussed, was trying to gather his wits. Rashida and the rest of the family members soon overpowered him and snatched his weapon. However, the terrorist escaped under the cover of darkness, but not before receiving sharp cuts in the face-off with the furious housewife.
Rajouri's additional superintendent of police Shabir Ahmed said investigations were on establish to identity of the duo but the slain terrorist was believed to be Osama, a Pakistan-based LeT commander, wanted in many cases of extortion and terror related activities. ``We are awaiting more details from the spot where a police team is carrying out further investigation,'' Ahmed said. Security forces are combing the area for the escaped terrorist.

Ali you are right, before US elections I doubted your claims on Obama. I then read all articles on NPD wrt Obama and realized his core nature. I can see that he is a big talker but not a practical person. He will do anything to charm Muslims. He must be defeated in the next election.

No body can ruin a country's security or prosperity unless the citizens and masses of that particular country allow such things to happen. If the American people allow Obama to ruin American security, then it is the American people who must shoulder the blame. Thusly, Obama is not in position to undermine India's security unless India's leaders allow that to happen. Hence, it is the fault of the Indian people because it is they who chose such retards and lethergic buffons as their leaders. Indians cannot blame Obama if India's security is screwed up. Indians should blame themselves. I am no fan of Obama but in this case I don't think Obama can be blamed.
India had a very dominating navy in the region. In the 70s and 80s North Korean ships were busy transporting missile components and Nuke making instruments into Pakistani ports. So, what did the Indian leaders do? They cry like women and run to the UN or the US.

This (Pakistan) is the main country which is responsible for smuggling the nuclear technology to Iran, Korea (North) and others. Iran is a main concern for present day world because of its nuclear program not because of its oil. Not to mention that During cold war era, America did not mind sending its navel ships in support of Pakistan, but those thing does not make any sense as time has changed a lot after 9/11 and now Islam is the biggest threat for any democratic and secular countries. So when America talks anything or make any policy, her first priority should be to safeguard the interest of secular democracies instead of appeasing the Islamic world.

I observed only one thing in Obama -- he greeted muslims with an "Assalamu alaikum". As is known to visitors of this site, it is NOT a neutral greeting, but an Islamic greeting. I dont know Arabic but I interpret this as under:
assalamu alaikum = I am safe and alive, are you?
walaikum assalam = I'm/we're safe and alive
My reasoning is that Muslims were always busy warring and hence this greeting-format was drafted to serve the purpose of counting dead.

How could India Influence American/Obama's Policies.One cant see any logic in American behaviour.How else can anyone read/interpret what U.S.A is doing -giving aid to a country that openly says it is to be used against India and not the Taliban.and also that is known to be involved in Nuclear proliferation with Iran,the very thing that the U.S. is saying is worried about.The U.S.A, has found that it is now in a "riding a tiger and doesnot know how to get off it." kind of situation.Right from 1947 it had been playing with Pakistan against India.Probably thought that India with its different Languages/regional cultures will not hold together.U.S has consistently armed India's enemy,so what is surprising now? In the weeks/months preceding his election I told my family clear that he his gonna be one of the ultimate psychopaths the world has ever seen. Working in corporates I have seen enough and more of NPDs.
