Is The Quran Valid?
Let us suppose that there is an absolute God and Islam is the religion sent by Him through His beloved prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).
I temporarily swallow the fact that there are numerous “varieties” of Islam as against the Muslims’ claim of the religion to be “one”, which into itself, is a big reason for questioning Islam as a valid religion.
Let me study two cases:
One: Islam has various sects and just one of them is valid.
Two: All the sects of Islam are valid, but one should stick to the sect of Islam that he was born on.
Starting here, being an ex-Muslim, I will demonstrate how a normal mind easily turns away from Islam with valid reasoning. Yet, the only reason for keeping sticking to Islam, is when a person, even after having learnt what black color is, continues to call it red “because his ancestors did so” or “because doing so proved her / him pious.” A third reason is monetary benefits, which do exist, but only few admit (if not ‘no one’).
We will examine both these cases at once below:
Suppose, only one sect of Islam is valid.
Which one is it? Ahl-e-sunnah? Ahl-e-Hadith? Ahl-e-Tashee? Ahl-e-Quran? Devbandi? Or any other one?
Whichever it is, the Muslims are laudable because they keep the “Quran” to be their central source of religion.
Although all the sects of Islam can be proven invalid only on the first hit that this same Quran lays down a criterion that “if it had not been the book of God, it would have had a number of discrepancies” and the fact is that there ARE a number of discrepancies in the Quran. This proves Quran not to be the book of God and hence all the sects of Islam fall fake on this basis.
I will now prove these discrepancies.
It is worth noting that the word ‘discrepancies’ can be seen in two possible scenarios:
1. Inter-verse discrepancies: That is, it says one thing at a place, while another thing at another place.
2. Inter-value discrepancies: That is, its teachings are in clash with the natural principles of love, truth, sacrifice etc.
This same Quran has a number of obvious discrepancies, which can be proven in no time. We will first prove this statement and later come to analyze the allied sects one by one. Fortunately, it is not a matter of reading volumes of books. I claim I can do it in 12 pages of an MS Word document! I also claim this article to be irrefutable. I don’t mind if you take it for pomposity, but like the sun WILL rise tomorrow, I WILL prove my claims.
Irrefutable discrepancies of the Quran

The first discrepancy appears right in Surah Al-Fatiha. Verse 1: “In the name of Allah, the Most (or the only) Gracious (one), the Most (or the only) Merciful.
The verse is clearly NOT pointing at a particular God. To me, an to anyone sane, it would appear like calling (as if looking for) a God “who is gracious and merciful.” The word Allah is NOT a personal name as against most Muslims’ belief. It is an Arabic expression, a combination of ‘Al’ meaning somewhat like “the” and ‘Ilah’, meaning a “venerable being” or “god”.. Clearly, the writer of Quran is “expecting” the God to be gracious and merciful, which this writer himself negates in the verses to come. It is like calling a God that he has not seen and trying to “flatter” him by saying “though art merciful sire.”
The Quran also DECLARES Allah to be the ONLY praiseworthy (Surah Al-Fatiha, Verse 1 after “Bismillah”).
Note: it is doubtlessly consistent that only the merciful can be praiseworthy and not the illogically brutal one.
Now the writer of the Quran supposes that there is a last day, on which “Allah” will gather everyone and cherish only those who believe him, this, he calls “the Judgment Day.” Remember, the Quran says that this ALL MERCIFUL GOD “Allah” will burn the non-believers for eternity. ETERNITY! The punishment for even millions of sins of a person who has passed an average of 70 years of life, for this MOST MERCIFUL GOD is everlasting “barbeque”. Does He intend to have us cooked and served for dinner? I ask, “Is Allah merciful or scornful?”
NOW
Until there the writer of the Quran is talking about Allah as a THIRD PERSON.
From the very next verse, the writer starts talking to “Allah” directly treating Him as a SECOND PERSON. “It is you that we worship and it is you that we seek help from.”
(Also note that an All Knowing, All NEEDLESS (Al-Ikhlas, Verse: 2) Allah, who is also the Only Most Merciful sounds like fond of making His believers bow and prostrate and cry and ask Him for help.)
Ridiculously enough, the writer of the Quran is ALSO seeking guidance from Allah (Al-Fatiha, last 02 verses)
Think about it. In the presence of Quran, what other guidance is he seeking? Clearly, the writer of the Quran himself doesn’t believe that the Quran provides guidance. Or he thinks that Quran is a poor source of guidance and wants some other guidance.

Surah Al-Baqarah starts with three Arabic letters called “Alif”, “Laam” and “Meem.” If we take them as individual letters, what are they and what do they stand for? If it is the fulfillment of the pray in Surah Al-Fatiha, what kind of “Allah’s grant” is it? According to all authentic Islamic and linguistic sources, no one knows the meaning of these three “sacred” letters (The Quran doesn’t define them anywhere, the Hadith clearly declares that only “Allah” knows their meanings.) Most definitely, these letters are an example of obscurity. Verse 2 of Surah Al-Baqarah says: “THAT (or this?) is the book that there is no obscurity (or DOUBTFUL thing) in it. On the other hand, the same Quran claims: “And we have made this Quran easy to understand, so is there anyone who ponders?”
I challenge you to ponder over “Alif”, “Laam” and “Meem” only and I bet you will either end up pondering forever or admitting that the verse of “easy Quran” is false..
And please don’t think your mental level is not as high as that of the writer of the Quran, because your mind is God’s creation. Now either you depend on the logic your God has gifted you or reject it supposing that your mind is a faulty creation of a lousy creator. Which one would you buy?
I hope this second discrepancy is also clear to you.

Even a dutiful school teacher is more merciful than “Allah” if we examine what Quran says about God. If a child tells his teacher “I don’t believe you.” a good teacher will sit down with him, talk to him and try to convince him. And if the teacher is genuinely good, he WILL convince and bring the child round. The most one would do is “ignore” him and say, “OK don’t believe me, I damn care.” But our most merciful Allah (Quran say, not me) will do anything to see his non-believing creation (His own creation!!!) burning in hellfire for eternity. This reminds me of the Chinese Kings of Ming and Chang dynasties who would leave their slaves to fight brutally and would rejoice when one of them would kill the other. Even these inhumanly kings wouldn’t burn the losers to eternity (Go ask them if you doubt).

A Hindu attendee of one of Dr. Naik’s oratories flashed a book called something like “20 Grammatical Errors of the Quran” in front of everyone and started mentioning these errors one by one. He was INTERRUPTED by the empathetic Dr. Naik, who replied that since the Arabic Grammar had been derived from the Quran, there can be no mistake in the Quran BUT in the grammar books. If you can see the funniness of this reasoning, my work has been reduced. But for those who couldn’t understand my point of view, I’ll ask a question, “If the current grammar books are wrong, how can a modern man understand the Quran correctly? But if they are correct, the Quranic grammar needs to be accepted wrong.” After all, why don’t the Arab grammarians update the grammar of their books? Fourteen centuries have passed and yet, the Arabic grammar stands against Quranic grammar. This is an obscurity, which proves the 2nd verse of Al-Baqarah to be false.

Anyone from an average Muslim to a Muslim Scholar would argue that the threat of an everlasting heaven or hell is just a threat / reward for keeping the followers away from sin. This proves the writer of the Quran to be an obnoxious teacher, who merely threatens kids to stop them from violating the decorum of the school. Remember, the teacher is NOT absolute, whereas, “Allah” is claimed to be absolute and an absolute creator wouldn’t play tricks to bring people to the path. If Muhammad, the prophet, had done it, it would have been a bit logical but if we try to presume this, we will end up concluding that Quran is the book of Muhammad and not of God. And this testifies the Quran as a book for threatening only… But for what? For noble values?

For whatever, Muhammad, as a Narcissist Ruler and sex freak wanted.
Uh huh! Please don’t boil up, Muslims. As I promised, I am going to prove my point conclusively.
Here is a simple test comprising some important activities / questions meant to prove that the Quran is even not a book of ethics for the most part of it (with an exception of Surah Al-Maun, Surah An-Naas and a counted few verses).
I challenge all logicians, philosophers, religious scholars, researchers and humanists to prove the following definite test wrong.
To the Muslims, however, I sincerely and emphatically request to be through the whole test and draw their own unbiased conclusion. I bet they will end up hating the Quran. Later on, we will examine the major sects of Islam and see how even they don’t make sense and are rather a curse than God’s blessing.
The Test:
No matter if you are a Hindu, a Christian, an Atheist, a Muslim or belong to any other religion, you will admit that the basic natural principles exist as common values among the human beings. No one would deny the importance and validity of deeds such as truth, love, fairness, trustworthiness, goodness, mutual help, creativity, conciliation etc. A normal mind can distinguish between real ethics and greatness, and the teachings of the Quran.
Here is a concrete and definite test to prove the Quran a non-miraculous, non-ethical and lying book in no time.
Fill the following table and draw results on your own. (Although this test is for anyone, it is especially for the Muslims because they have spent some time in Islam. It might prove a bit technical for other readers, yet, you may freely ask me questions, which I will try my level best to answer at the FFI forum. If needed, I will be ready for individual argument. But I suggest that everything goes on publicly for mass benefits). Let’s begin:

Thousands of copies of the Quran have been destroyed by non- and ex- Muslims… even been burnt! In fact, Indian and Serbian armies have been reported to have urinated on the Quran. Even the contents of the Quran are not safe. Two schools of Muslim scholars report two different numbers of the verses of the Quran. The Quran exists in seven different dialects (at least) and each has (no matter how slight) differences in meanings. Food for thought: If all powerful God wanted to protect the Quran, would he have to depend on human beings? Even so, this process of protection is lousy. The Ahl-e-Tashee claim that ten Sections of the Quran (Parahs) had been eaten up by a goat. The “concept” (although it is a reality) of loss of parts of Quran is supported by the fact that the oldest sample of Quran placed in a museum in Egypt has several missing parts as compared to the existing Quran. Morever, in a much more established fashion, other many books like Gita, the Bible and other scriptures are safe since a long time earlier than the Quran itself. (God bless that goat!) |

The Quran doesn’t guide the evildoers. In the beginning of Al-Baqarah, it is clearly written, that Quran is the guidance only for those who are pious. (Already pious!!!). The last sermon of Muhammad says, “whosoever Allah misguides, there is no one who can guide him.” |

We have given above sufficient evidence that Quran is not the book of God because it has many errors and discrepancies. What is the logical answer? Quran claims “pray to me, I shall reply to you (or fulfill the request).” Many a times in my life I prayed Allah, and I am still waiting for either hearing something from him or getting my pray fulfilled. Secondly what does Quran say about “Huroof-e-Muqattiaat” life “alif, Laam, Meem” etc.? Quran says if we have any doubt about any verse, ask the one who reads Quran before you. I asked the above questions to senior Quran readers and they couldn’t answer me. What is the Quran’s instructions in this situation? The Quran says, “Did you not se how your Lord acted with the people of Elephant?” Obviously we did not see. Or did Allah not know it and is asking us? Or is Allah addressing to Muhammad? What does your “wisdom” say about it? “My” wisdom says… “Sorry Allah, I thought you knew what I have in the depths of my heart… But you are asking me… You disappointed me.” |

Why nor apply the Maha Bharat, the Bhadawad Gita and the Ramayan in our lives? Why not love the humanity? Why not read Stephen Covey and see what he has to give you? Why not use our faculties for the human welfare? Why not live a selfless exemplary life? Why not live like Mother Teresa and die like a soldier of “good war”. I request you all.

I don't know about the threat of Christians for Hinduism, nor much about the bad blood between them. But surely Islam is much more a threat to both of them than they are to each other? Surely Islam in the past did a great deal of harm to them both?
The way I see it, both Christians and Hindus by and large play by the democratic rules, endorse human rights, appreciate the Golden Rule. And the Hindus are making India ever more prosperous, just as the Christians participated well in making many of their countries very prosperous. Compared to the Islamic countries. This is a great achievement of both Christians, Hindus. You do not see them flocking to Islamic paradises, but instead their countries attract or "keep in" many Muslims. Together with the atheists, freethinkers etc (of whom I am one) they have a common enemy, Islam, and a common strategy; Democracy, Human Rights, Golden Rule. Peacefully.
Islam also would cease to be the enemy, once in the majority of its countries democracy, human rights, golden rule is practised sufficiently, I suppose. (While still the current democracies are functioning as they are now).
Take Christianity, for sure it is under heavy verbal attack from atheists & freethinkers etc, but at least it always responds peacefully, democratically. In this respect Christians present a good example to Muslims.

I am not sure if you are from India, but till some time back I used to think just like you and defend Christianity. Unfortunately most of the Forum mebers from those times are not here anymore. But when you read history and speak to people all around India, you get to know the facts. Christian terror groups operating all over India have created mayhem.
The problem is that Christians Missionary groups are loosing ground in the West and now they are crating problems for people in countries like India, China, Burma, Sri Lanka.
The problem is not whether Christianity is under attack by the Freethinkers or not, frankly I don't care if all the people in the West become Christians. But by converting Indians, the missionaries are playing divisive politics in my country. They are supporting groups like the NLF and various other Millitant groups especially the Naxalites.

Christian Girl Raped In Sheikhupura
A 13-year-old Christian girl has been raped by three Muslim youth at Gumhe-k-Lidhur in Saangla Hill district of Sheikhupura.
Ambreen Munir is one of eight children to laborer Munir Masih and his wife Naziran Bibi, and works as a domestic worker in the village, like her older sister Aasia and younger brother Komal.
On 20 January 2009, Ambreen was kidnapped by two Muslim boys, Kalu and Kaku. Although Ambreen cried for help, no one was there to help her. The boys took her to their home and tied her hands and mouth with a rope. They then took turns to rape her and released her only after two hours.
They warned that if she told anyone about what they had done, they would kill her father, who works as a laborer outside of the village and only returns home once a week.
Although Ambreen wanted to tell her mother what had happened to her, she was terrified they would carry out their threat.
Then on 5 Feb 2009, Ambreen went out at around 11 am to take the garbage to a refuse area some distance away from her house. It was then that Kalu, Kaku and Kalu’s cousin Shahbaz reportedly took her by force for a second time to their home while their relatives were out. Ambreen begged them to let her go but they again threatened her.
The boys forced her to swallow a drink containing intoxicants to make her pass out, after which they took it in turns to rape her. When she came round later, at around midnight, the relatives of the rapists were there and they took her to her uncle’s home before she returned to her own home later that night.
Ambreen told her mother what had happened to her and she called her father, Munir Masih, to return home. When he did, he and other people in the village confronted the boys and their parents over the rape.
A First Instance Report was filed against Kalu, Kaku and Shahbaz at the police station by Munir on 6 February. The suspects failed to show up at the village court and the police have not taken any legal action against them.
Munir Masih has approached CLAAS for legal assistance in the case and Mr. Akbar Munawar Durrani, advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, has been appointed as their defense lawyer.

Ibrahim + other Indians, I am from Holland, I know India's economy is growing fast, it has over a billion inhabitants, majority of maybe 800.000 Hindus? Maybe 300 million Muslims? I am very, very sorry the Christians and Hindus are at loggerheads, unfortunately I know so little about India, so I can't chose sides.
I remember reading a bit about its ancient history and for instance the admirable emperor Asoka (3rd century BC), Chandragupta, the Maurya's + such. I know India is a land of great ancient history and many wise people.
I already gathered many on this forum were Indians and I found that very interesting. I like to see myself as a freethinker, but half my family is (still) Christian as our forefathers all were. But they always, without one bad word, accepted the "apostacy" of the other half of te family and we still are very close.

Moreover I believe that if a man wants to have more then one wife, then he is on his own in terms of supporting his family. The man made his bed, then he should lie in it.
To me marrying more then one women when you don't have the means to support them is a sin.
