Kashmir girl fights off militants

SRINAGAR, India, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A Muslim girl in Indian-administered Kashmir fought off three militants, killing one of them with his own gun, after they entered her home, police said. The incident Monday in a remote village in Rajouri district began after the three militants began beating 18-year-old Rukhsana Kauser's parents after barging into their home, the BBC reported quoting local police. Rukhsana and her brother then turned on the militants, killing one and injuring the other two who managed to escape, The report said one of the militants wanted to marry the girl against her will and her father had rejected the offer. "Without saying anything they (the militants) started beating my parents and my uncle. They beat them so badly that my parents fell on the ground. I could not see that and pounced on one of the militants while my brother hit him with an ax," she told the BBC. Rukhsana said she banged one of the militants against the wall after grabbing his hair. As he fell, she hit him with the ax before taking his gun. "I fired endlessly. The militant commander got 12 shots on his body," she said, adding she learned to fire a gun while watching movies. "I thought I should try the bold act of encountering militants before dying." Senior police superintendent Shafqat Watali praised Rukhsana for her "exemplary bravery." The dead militant was identified as Abu Osama, a member of the Lashkar-e-Toiba Islamist terrorist group.

This girl child requires the highest medal for bravery.Imagine combating a militant holding a AK-47 rifle with bare hands,lathi,axe & lots of bravery.I sincerely wish this family is secretly trans located to some other part of India.

The Govt of India or Govt of Jammu n Kashmir should provide her with a Job in the rank of SI/ASI in the police force to do justice to her. Of course she should be given a Quarters in a Protected Security Services' Colony for life for her and her kin. Even CRPF or CISF or even BSF can offer similar postings to her. The future generations may rever her as a brave woman. I salute her for her bravery.

If she has done the same bravery in any muslim country , as per sharia she would have got 'stonning' for killing a 'male' muslim. But India is a secular democratic country, thus she will be appreciated. Also look she is not a hijab wearing women. Culturally she is hindu and in hindu tradition many women fighters have been famous, but unfortunately she and her family worship the koranic verses who want her to be second class.
I hope this should be made news , where a muslim women has not only saved her honour but killed a male hardcore militant trained by ISI and Al Qaida etc.
If muslims population is 1 billion, we should give strength hope and protection to 500 million women, and they can take up the males and challenge the koran which gave all perverse rights to male muslims.
