Reporting from Cairo and Tehran - Iranian authorities launched a provocative attack on the opposition movement today by announcing a special investigation into prominent cleric Mehdi Karroubi over his accusations that security forces raped and tortured protesters demonstrating against the disputed June reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

You may say it is bad luck, but Obama enjoys a very high support among the Iranian community, especially in the US. They support his silence and believe he is doing the right(wise) thing.
I live nearby a very large Iranian-American community. I have spoken to many, many of them. Virtually all have a positive view of Obama and, again, support his silence.
