A fifth of European Union will be Muslim by 2050

Yes, living in Rotterdam, with maybe 18 to 25 % Muslims, I too am highly concerned about Muslim Immigration and I do not try to play down either the numbers or the threat. But I like to look at it in a global way. And when about 20 % of the European Union population, (of approx. 500 million people now), are Islamic, that also means that a substantial portion of Muslims of the world population is living under Democratic rule and under Democratic influence. Many or most of them will know English and have computers and have access to all sorts of websites, books and articles. Their children will go to schools, hopefully getting well educated and learning to think rationally, having access to a broad spectre of information.

This site and many others do wonderful work by holding Muslims accountable for Islamic beliefs and claims and for the behavior of fellow Muslims, in past and present. With the goal of either causing many Muslims to abandon Islam or to combine it with Democratic values, principles and laws. Muslims are not responsible for the behavior of co-religionists, but they are responsible for their reaction to it. It is OK if this reaction is truly neutral but we can hold them accountable if they speak and behave in support of undemocratic or antidemocratic behavior of fellow-Muslims, either in Islamic or other countries.

Half of the Muslims are women and for them equal rights are at stake, so in the long run it is possible that they will in large majority favor democratic principles and laws over Islamic ones. Maybe 10 % of humans are homosexual and they also have much more to gain from Democratic principles and laws. And I speculate about all those Muslims who are dependent on Health Service and Social Service, who can reason that these institutions almost per definition are much better organized and working in Democratic countries than in Islamic ones, to be in favor of democracies too.

And for these reasons I so hope that the part of the European population, that is Muslim, now and in the future, will not only will not want to jeopardize its democratic system, but even will be instrumental in influencing the populations of Islamic countries towards a democratic future. This idea I got from a well-known Dutch Islamologist, Professor Hans Janssen, who this year on TV said that: "We democrats are a threat to the Islamists also. As long as we have freedom of speech, as long as free speech is available to Muslims."

You see, it would be great if political parties or movements in the Democratic countries would start to propagate Democratic values, principles, laws worldwide, especially in Islamic countries. Those are the key. That is where the Islamic immigrants come from. And in potential many Islamic countries may grow enormously in numbers but stay poor. And they will in the future have very large population-parts that want to migrate to Democratic countries also. Democratization worldwide therefore is a very worthwhile and logical, desirable, necessary goal. President Bush was for it, but now organizations like FFI, Islam Watch, ActforAmerica and in Holland the Freedom Party should endeavour to make Democratization Worldwide a grassroots movement in the Democratic world, something many young people can have passion for.

Especially political parties should endeavour to help establish equal rights and opportunities for women, homosexuals and religious minorities worldwide and make citizens of Democratic countries enthousiastic for that. And they should ask many Muslims to join this movement. Half of humans are female and if they can get enthousiastic for the most part we Democrats would be so strong. Moreover, well educated women, with autonomous career possibilities, will only get # 2-3 children and these will also tend to be educated well, in the long run.

Now when the Freedom Party is against Islamization of the West it gets this obnoxious opposition of myopically national thinking mainstream politicians and citizens who don’t know about or deny global demographic expectations. It would be better if the Freedom Party were to be FOR global Democratization instead of against national Islamization, in my opinion. Let the Islamists try to stop us Democrats, instead of us trying to stop them, all the while having these stupid political correct people obstructing us, ignorant people being disinterested, and many Muslims and others constantly denouncing our "Islamophobia", "Hate-speech". Let the Islamists become DEMOCRACYFOBES.

And the Freedom Party could also agree that Islamic Theocratic Nations, like Saudi Arabia or Iran, with Shariah laws, are OK somewhere on Earth, but on 2 big conditions, namely
I. That those Muslims, who want to live in such a nation but now live in a Democratic state, are allowed to migrate into these Islamic Theocratic states and that even Democratic states are allowed to deport such Muslims to these Islamic states and
II. That these Islamic Theocratic states in turn allow all their citizens who choose to live under Democratic rule to go to some Democratic country, where they will be welcomed.
