How does torturing oneself
How does torturing oneself through starvation eliminate world hunger?
Does it not make more sense to actually provide the hungry with meals or teach them how to farm & produce,so they can be independent?
You don't have to be a victim of rape to know that it's wrong.
You don't have to be a victim of attempted murder to know that it's wrong.
You don't have to be a victim starvation to know that they need help.

We fast because our lord commanded us to abstain from food and drink and marital relations during the daytime of ramadaan- that we may become pious through this.
As for world hunger then - we have zakaat for that - yep -
you see how obama wants to tax the rich more than the poor. islam have that already -
ONLY RICH MUSLIMS PAY TAX IN A MUSLIM COUNTRY.

We fast the daytime of ramadaan so that we may become pious. THIS IS THE REASON STATED IN THE QURAN. chapter 2
As for world hunger - we have zakaat for that - you see how obama wants to tax the rich more than the poor-
islam has that for the past 1400 years-
ONLY THE RICH PAY TAX IN A MUSLIM COUNTRY.
