While the US economy is no doubt down, but it is definitely not out. The concept of Zero in itself means turn around and come round. I am sure the US has resilience to achieve this.
We know that the present situation is due to profligate consumer of America who spent more than what s(he) earned and excessive corporate greed. However, US still holds lead in technology, which ultimately drives the global growth today. So the key is to continue to innovate and leverage core technology areas along with rightful partners like Japan, EU, and India. Of course, the Chinese hold a lot of dollars bonds, but they really have no choice because US is their largest market too for low cost manufactured goods. They earn dollars in the US and need to hold them in dollar bonds, or lose the market. If they try to shake the dollar pillar, the roof will fall on their heads too. In turn, selling high tech goods to China can address this anomaly effectively and US should work towards that. Win-win is the way forward for global community, without need to panic.

The real problem, however, for America is the ever growing community of mohammad`s warriors in their midst. What do they contribute in real terms? For one, they could bring the economy down by creating very high cost of security infrastructure for businesses and industries, which in going times could render them uncompetitive. This is necessary but avoidable cost, and to address this should be the prime concern.

Now here, what you say as creative scare theory for lack of your understanding is a fact of life in our day. Although not necessary, just to give you one example, Gartner conducted a study recently (lay your hands on Dec 2008 IT report in case you have interest) for semiconductor industry in America. For a typical $100 cost in Japan, Taiwan, or S.Korea the American counterparts have a cost of $140, due to high cost of security infrastructure post 9/11, leading to the need for more redundancy in operations and data centers, high insurance cost and high opportunity cost for locking resources in security rather than productivity. This means it has repercussions on several industries like medical & industrial electronics, telecommunications, automotives, computing and storage, etc. The starting point of all this is Islamic terrorism.
While I am sure because of you being fundamentally dishonest you may not find any merit in facts I just mentioned, yet in some freak moments of fact seeking it may open some new vistas for your otherwise moribund mindset. Islam has pernicious influence in all walks of life. The sooner you understand, better for your own growth.

Taiwan, South Korea and Japan have for the most part had comparative cost advantage for most products. I appreciate the fact that you would be in a better position to understand the dynamics and the scale of impact of the semi conductor industry in the current Financial crisis. However, when it comes to the simple fact of Islam being the cause of America’s current economic woes I would simply beg to differ. Islam was very much there when the Dow Jones was 14000 and the AIG bosses were pampering themselves with ultra expensive pedicures. Islam and Muslims were there in America when these greedy corporates were making risky leverages and inflating their toxic assets portfolio by selling unrealistic mortgages to the vulnerable. And the economy was still booming after a slight jolt of September 11th. Go ask the hedge fund managers and the titans of industries. But what is amiss in your assessment is the fact that the military excesses of one man’s doing did substantial harm which is probably another significant reason for the current economic upset. Firstly, he took America to the wrong war. You cant blame Muslims if the US spent over a trillion dollars looking for Osama in Baghdad. Secondly, Muslims cant be blamed for America’s lack of new innovative products and technology during the recent down turn. I am a firm believer that America is a country that has been on the forefront of modern innovations. They simply need to focus their energies on that and they will be back to their deserved status. Thirdly, in the global scenario we cannot rule out the fact that we Indians at some levels are smarter and are willing to work for a substantially lesser price. So is the same for China and other countries in the manufacturing sector. Hence America has to be a partner not a leader in the future.

Simply my standpoint on this is that America has been scared, threatened and weakened from within. It’s the same people who scared America into voting for Mr Bush in the second term also. It’s the same people who taught America that it was ok to racially profile people. It s the same people who encouraged America to torture. It’s the same people who would raise the terror threat level from green to yellow and god knows what else on TV channels. It’s the same people who colored every conflict around the world with a religious color. Hence, defining every struggle legitimate or illegitimate as act of terror thus making every conflict terminally irresolvable.
There were some fundamental mistakes through time. America was scared into submission by its own zealous crusaders led foremost by the erstwhile President. It did secure him a second term but unfortunately he left a country in shambles economically and militarily. I think the increased cost of production that you refer to probably was lining the pockets of executives in Insurance companies in the form premiums on damages by terror coverages. It must have helped some security consultants in Tel Aviv to grow their business multi-fold by making American corporate’s buy security toys which they would never need in their lifetime. After all America was spending its fortune on its Homeland security. The beneficiaries of profits that were generated from that frenzy are quite obvious.

Above all those were wonder years for Texan oil barrons as the world seemed to be running out of oil overnight and was way above $140 a barrel as the average American family struggled to fill gas in the car tanks and keep up with stupendous mortgage payments and Insurance premiums. If we assume that all variable and fixed costs but cost of additional insurance and security provisions being same it costs about 28% more to produce in America. That means about 28% is spent on Insurance and security provisions. All I see here is a simple case of overspending. They should get new quotations. However if you will argue that not all of that 28% is attributable to it then you must accept the fact that there obviously are some other inefficiencies that make them cost more. Like I have always said- we Muslims are the easiest political scapegoats its funny that now we are even being ‘blamed’ for Asian cost effective quality manufacturing practices.

I don't think that we can directly corelate Muslims with the conomic downfall in the USA. While a major conpsiracy behind the downfall by Muslim elite cannot be ruled out, I don't think that the ordinary Muslim has much to do with it. There are many Muslims who do take unfair advantages of living in the West, but to categorise all of them as termites is a bit unfair.
