A group of people came to Prophet Muhammad saying that they are sick and also need asylum. So, Prophet Muhammad gave them asylum and advised them to drink camel’s urine? They were cured after drinking camel’s urine. However, when they were strong enough, they killed innocent shepherds mercilessly without any reason! The killers were then punished for their grave crime and deception.

Narrated Abu Qilaba:

Anas said, "Some people of 'Ukl or 'Uraina tribe came to Medina and its climate did not suit them. So the Prophet ordered them to go to the herd of (Milch) camels and to drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they went as directed and after they became healthy, they killed the shepherd of the Prophet and drove away all the camels. The news reached the Prophet early in the morning and he sent (men) in their pursuit and they were captured and brought at noon. He then ordered to cut their hands and feet (and it was done), and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron, They were put in 'Al-Harra' and when they asked for water, no water was given to them." Abu Qilaba said, "Those people committed theft and murder, became infidels after embracing Islam and fought against Allah and His Apostle."

Wow! A000Z I didnt know Hindus could eat beef, I usually avoid using the B word when Hindus are around. Even though I have a few Hindu friends who do eat Beef, but the large majority are averse to eating Beef and mostly even Pork.

I do not think hindus are averse just to eating beef.They generally do not eat meat of any kind.But this is true of not all hindus! Mostly the so called brahmins do not eat beef or other meats too. Medically it's good not to eat too much of meat.
Not many hindus would be in to eating pigs as the rearing conditioons of pigs arenopt conducice for healthy living.Most piggeries are located in very dirty parts of the village/ city and mostly menial workers from both moslem and hindu community live there.So they avoid pigs.As far me I was aborn vegetarian and grew up for 25 years with out even having taken egg! In indian continent where vegetation is ample and in variety also. Red meat was as well not very commonly consumed and healthy because of the warm climatic condition. It looks like the advantages of cow rendered it the position in society. The nature of Indian culture is very polite. Any thing which is irreplaceable and useful, they thank it and term gift of God or Holy and show their indebtedness. In ancient culture, you could find it with other things also e.g. trees, river, snakes, etc. Thus I feel it is no wonder that cow in times became holy.

There were also some references that there were some down fallen warriors ( Kshtriya ) tribes outside continent, who used to consume beef.

The write-up, From Belief by Mr. Ali Sina was an eye-opener as I have never read a Quran. I had serious misgivings about Islam from the way its followers treat the religious minorities in Muslim countries, but the first jolt came on 9/11. My initial reaction, upon reading Ali Sina's above artile was that, can any religion preach so much ill will and hatred for others? I was then angry and felt comtempt for this religion. I have copied this article on my desktop and since then forwarded to a number of friends and colleagues so that they may know what Islam preaches.

Since then I have read many of Sina's articles and few of others'. They are all brilliant. These articles are giving me food for thought as I have started to question my own long held beliefs. Hi Ibrahim, as far as four vedas, 18 puranas, and 100+ upanishads are concerned, there is respect for cow for the service it offers. But nowhere do we find any reference to urine drinking. However, Ayurved lists benefits of urine, used as one of the components, for curing some diseases. There are some patents on this as well.

I recently saw a video of Ahmed Deedat on his death bed. Gee! it must have been really painful for him to die that way. I feel sorry for the chap, the way he died, worse than a pariah dog. I just wished that he was not so hateful during his life and did not lie so much to sell his Islam.

Yemen: Camel urine trade flourishing

Sanaa, 11 July (AKI) - Camel urine, considered an ancient Islamic 'remedy' from the time of the Prophet Mohammed, has become big business for men and women in Yemen.

The urine has become fashionable recently among Yemen's young people, who claim that it strengthens the scalp, slows hair loss and promotes healthy hair.

According to the Arab TV network al-Arabiya, hair salons throughout the country are requesting this precious 'tonic' and selling it at four dollars a litre - a high price considering the income level of most of the buyers.

"I have been using camel urine since I have been going to elementary school," said Amal, a university student in Sanaa.

"The first time a neighbour told me that she had been using it (urine) for many years, because it made her hair more beautiful and shiny. Now everyone in my home uses it."

The use of the urine is not just limited to women. Men have reportedly also been using it to prevent or stop hair loss.

"Many young men use the camel's urine. I am forced to buy large quantities for my business," said Hasan, a barber.

A boom in the sale of camel urine has prompted people to begin breeding more camels, and they are constantly being given liquids in order to collect more urine.

Nomadic camel breeders have benefited the most from the sale of urine. The breeders are usually in the most remote areas of the country such as Hudeida and Mukallah provinces.

Some people also claim that camel urine is good for the liver, a claim discredited by the University of Sanaa that said it was harmful for the digestive system.

The use of camel urine could have its roots in Islamic religion. In the Prophet Mohammed's "sunna" (or tradition), it talks about the benefits of camel milk and urine.

In a "hadith" (or narrative), foreigners are said to have gone to the holy city of Medina with high fever and the Prophet Mohammed ordered them to leave the city and drink urine and milk from a camel to help them recover.
