Each time the Islamic regime in Iran feels threatened, it starts persecuting the religious minorities and particularly the Baha’is who have been the favorite escape goats for the mullahs since this religion started in the middle of the 19th century.

Since the Islamists came to power three decades ago, thousands of Baha’is have been arrested, jailed, and over 200 of them have been tortured and brutally killed. Their crimes ranged from holding classes for their own children in their own homes when the Islamic Government had banned Baha’i children from attending school, to falsely accusing them of being spies for Israel. Despite all these charges, the Baha’is were given the chance to recant their faith and go free prior to executing them, which proves the charges against them were false and these killings are nothing but religious persecution.
Recently, the regime arrested seven Baha’i leaders. Shirin Ebadi, the first Iranian and the only Muslim woman who has ever received the Noble Prize for peace was retained to defend the detainees. Upon her acceptance she was threatened with her life, and the authorities shut down two human rights groups that she had founded. They also arrested her Baha’i secretary and to further discredit her, falsely accused her daughter of having become a Baha’i. Then on January 16 the Government arrested eight Baha’i women in Kish, a small Island in the Persian gulf and charged them with trying to “recruit young Iranian men to join the Baha'is using their feminine beauty as bait.” They found some Baha’i books in their position, which will be used against them as evidence of their “crime.”
When Baha’is are arrested and charged with proselytizing the outcome is generally not good. Muslims have divine sanction from the Quran to rape non-believing women and the prison guards in Iran are notorious for taking full advantage of their "divine" right. Ons such case that received world wide attention was that of the Canadian Journalist Zahra Kazemi. She was raped and beaten to death. Because the Baha’i faith is considered to be a heretic sect of Islam, Baha’is often are tortured and executed.
The Baha’i Faith was founded by Baha'u'llah, a nobleman, during the Qajar dynasty. Unlike most reformers of Islam Baha’u’llah realized that Islam cannot be reformed. Instead of attempting the impossible he founded a new religion and with the authority that he claimed had been vested on him by God, he abrogated all the violent teachings of the Quran and replaced them with humane and progressive teachings such as, unity of mankind, equal rights for men and women, abolition of racial, caste and religious prejudices, etc. He based his religion upon the ideal of 'unity' and most of his teachings, such as adoption of one universal language, the creation of a world tribune for resolution of conflicts between nations, hinge around that ideal.
Baha’u’llah prohibited violence and abolished Jihad, which is the Islamic way of propagation of religion. Whereas Muhammad prescribed fighting and told his followers “it is good for you,” (Q. 2:216) and reassured them that whatever they steal from the infidels is “lawful and good,” (Q 8:69) Baha’u’llah taught independent investigation of truth and disallowed forcing religion on even one’s own children. He also prohibited accepting donations from non believers let alone stealing from them. He basically scrapped the entire Quran and replaced it with gentle teachings without criticizing or denouncing Muhammad.
In a country of 70 million people such as Iran, there are only 350,000 Baha’is. Loyal to the teachings of their prophet, Baha’is have been exemplary in their conduct. Their superior ethics and morality has not gone unnoticed by many Iranians who have seen the corruption of the mullahs first hand. For those who do not know the truth about Muhammad and still believe he was a prophet of God, the Baha’i Faith feels like a fresh air in a fetid dungeon known as Islam. That is why a tiny group such as Baha’is poses such a big threat to the Islamic regime and why they are so brutally persecuted.
The hypocrisy of the Islamic faith cannot be better exemplified than by highlighting the way it persecutes the minorities. Whereas Muslims in non-Muslim countries demand special privileges and want ample rights to build their mosques, proselytize and recruit the unwary youths and poison their minds with the hatred of their own people, they persecute, arrest, torture and even rape and kill members of other religions if they are caught preaching their faiths to Muslims.
The sad irony is that while Baha’is are the most persecuted and the prefered victims of Muslim fanatics they are the only non-Muslim defenders of Islam outside the Muslim world.

My experience with most
My experience with most Iranians, least to say, has been very good. Most of the lunatics in Iran who follow the Islamic Government are a minority compared to the freedom loving and hman rights respecting people. Unfortunately the minority dominates over the majority due to the backing from the Government. These few people hold the rest of the Nation and the citizens to ransom. The laws of Iran are such that a democratic Government which believes in Human and virtues of Democracy and Freedom cannot be expected. The Ayotollahs who are the Power Mongers of Iran had put in laws which forbid people who dont believe in Islamically ruling the country and carrying out matters of foreign policy are not even allowed to stand in the elections. Most of the Iranians are growing sick and tired of this Islamic regime and its high time that the world Governments recognize this fact. Ahmedinejad is not the true representative of Iran. He is the representative of the Ayotallah regime of Iran. Iranians dont have the sort of love for Islam that the Arabs do, simply because Iran was and will be a great nation without Islam. The arabs only claim to fame is Islam. Cut out Islam and the Arabs, are left with nothing but a vast span of deserts, camels and tents and petroleum with which they are polluting the world.

I am glad to know so many Christians and Muslims believing in me although sometimes I can't even believe in my own words.
Last and not least, I hope all of you including some fake Christians like btilly, Marie and Tuvong who deny my words in Old Testaments will repent before I burn and torture them permanently in Hell. But I love them. I really do.

Hindus do convert, but not necessarily to Islam unless they live in an islamic country where they risk being discriminated. Converting to atheism is impossible, because it's not a religion: one simply becomes an atheist and leaves religious superstition behind. If you think there are no Moslems who apostatise or become atheists you must be dead from the neck up: it happens daily.

Holy war is the Western translation and Christian imitation of jihâd which the Christians started to wage against the Moslems when they realised the strength of islam derived from its bellicosity. Only islam has holy war as one of its pillars of faith: no other religion has it.

The Bahai faith in Iran is the same religious belief we call Islam. It’s just a watered down version. What is the guarantee that such religious belief will not morph into a violet form once given the chance to dominate? False religious beliefs have the tendency to become really evil due the frailty of man. That’s just our nature.
Then the atheists here will tell you that atheism is the answer, but the truth is, it is not. I apologized to all the atheists here because they never criticized Hinduism here in FFI for some reason. The world has seen the effects of lack of religious belief through communism. The citizens suffers the most. Hindu India is so blessed that no Hindus want to immigrate to another country. In fact all the westerners immigrate to India and run gas stations and cheap hotels there. Corruption does not exist in India. I can assure each and everyone here that there is no such thing as a corrupt Hindu. Racism does not exist in India either. We Hindus do not discriminate others especially if they do not belong to any caste system like the foreign visitors who stop by once in a while to take pictures on our Taj Mahal. India is the number one superpower of the world. The Hindu charity organizations in the ehtire world are the biggest contributors of food and financial assistance to all third world countries especailly the Bahai’s in all parts of the world and this is because of Hinduism. That’s why I, as a Hindu, really believe that the Bahai’s in Iran need to be converted to Hinduism and Iran will become as prosperous and generous as Hindu India. Every Religion is the mirror of the half-mind. The Left Brain (masculine) has one god, one law, one marriage, oneness (God almost speaks to you). The Right Brain (feminine) has many Gods, many laws (one law for one, one law for another), many relationships (co-habiting, married, partners) and many many voices (the voices of the near-departed almost speak to you). In Heaven there are no males and females. But that pain of emptiness, unable to hear the other's mind is what is missing and so cries out for recognition. The man who knows not love looks to Islam for validation; the woman who knows not truth looks to Jesus for personal salvation. He involves himself with more and more submission, she with more and more love. Their curse is for the lost souls, for these criminals have their limbs removed so they cannot feed, or they gain children they cannot raise. The outlaws who had a chance to wake up are damned by their saviours. Together, Islam and Christianity bring hell on earth with the best of intentions.... of their own self-justification. Like their parents before them they also do not bring consciousness into the world. They are the living dead who's half-brain seeks but a mere glimpse of the Unattainable Holy, for to find it, within themselves, would be mind-blowing. It is easier to follow a fool's pilgrimage than to fill their shoes.

I have read Dr. Sina's numerous contributions over the years, both on this site as well as others. It is my view that Ali Sina, even though he is extremely critical of Islam and does not subscribe to any formal religion, he is one of the most honorable human beings that I know. He feels passionately about human rights, about all that is good, about all of humanity. Dr. Sina's critics can say whatever they want. Yet, impartial people of all walks can readily see that he is a rare individual of outstanding qualities. Qualities that are indeed in short supply in this highly troubled world of people tearing at people.
Dear Ali, stay the course. Raise your magnificent voice in defense of all oppressed people of the world and in support of those sacred principles that sets true humans apart from the beasts.

I don’t eat cow anymore my brother Hindu. For me cow is sacred now. If I eat the meat of a cow it’s like eating a Brahman. It’s cannibalism to me because I’m a Brahman also. But sometimes it gets so tempting when I watch the commercial of McDonalds and Burger King. Those Brahmans in a bun look so delicious. If I can only just get one bite. Damn! Anyway, I wrote to God (notorious prophet) and asked him why he doesn’t make fun of our religion. I kind of like it but I just think he has some favorable comments about our Hindu gods to strenghten my dedication especially the elephant and monkey headed ones, or maybe we can convince him to become Hindu and join our perfect religion. I just need to have some input from the atheists in FFI what they think about our gods, because for me all of these Hindu gods are so logical, more logical than the Christian God. We can see the elephants and the monkeys and we definitely know they exist, so why not make gods out of their heads? What is more logical than that? In fact, type the words “miracle of Ganesha” in you tube and you’ll see the logic of believing in Hinduism. It’s the miracle of this Hindu god drinking milk. They have a long line for Hindus outside the shrine and while they wait some people are selling them milk to offer to the gods. I hope they change the tank inside the statues for re-selling it to others waiting in line before it starts to smell and I hope no Hindus will drink the milk, because they will definitely get sick. This is the best of times and the worst of times, as the saying goes. Humanity is struggling on the one hand to free itself from the vestiges of its barbaric past while embarking on an exhilarating new way of life. It is the same story. The old is doggedly fighting the new on many fronts. And the new in this case is a huge paradigm shift of ideas and beliefs that demands total eradication of all. This has kept mankind in a quagmire of wars, injustice and misery.
In this realm of ideas, religions play pivotal roles and the old and the new clash, often violently. Ideas and beliefs are our software that determines how we behave. And the software of the past is no longer working because it is out of phase with the needs of the time as well as infected with destructive viruses.
Even a cursory look is enough to show that the software of Islam, over time, is so greatly manipulated by numberless sects, sub-sects and schools that it can hardly be considered a unitary belief system. And people are their ideas. Any assault on beliefs and ideas provokes the assailed to action.
This clash of beliefs is the reason for Islamists to unleash their power against the upstart iconoclastic Baha’i faith. In fact, the Baha’is revere Islam and respect all other religions. Baha’i faith has many teachings in common with Islam, so much so that some call it “Islam light,” because, while it retains some of Islam’s principles, it also abrogates a number of outdated and counterproductive Islamic laws and practices. Baha’is say their faith is not a wrecking ball that aims to demolish the schoolhouse of God called religion: a badly divided schoolhouse where everyone claims to worship the same God, yet keep oppressing, fighting and killing each other in the name of the same God.
Baha’is have a very rosy and possibly unrealistic view of humanity. They say that their goal is for every human being, irrespective of any and all considerations, to be granted all his God-given rights and be allowed to worship his creator the way he sees fit. They have a sort of lovey-dovey vision of the world where everyone will live as a valued member of the larger human family. Apparently they have hit a responsive enough cord with some 6-7 million people of the world from every ethnic, religious and national stratum. This vision may not convert the remaining 6-7 billion people any time soon, but it sure beats hands down the Islamists’ idea to force the world under their so called Ummeh with its stone-age shariah law.
Baha’is believe that God sends his teachers to his school, from time to time with new lessons, to help advance the people to a higher and higher level of humanness. Trouble is, they believe, that people cling to the old school-work and the old teacher and doggedly resist accepting the new teacher and his teachings. Baha’is think of God’s prophets as renovators who come from time to time to tear down walls of separation and to bring God’s children together in an open-air general classroom out of their own foolishly walled-in dungeons of exclusivity and ignorance.
Below are some of the Baha’i teachings that clash heads on with Islam’s and provoke the Islamists to do all they can to destroy the new religion.
* The people of God. Muslims believe that they are the chosen people of Allah and recognize no other system of belief as legitimate. Baha’is believe that all people are the chosen people of God: that there is only one God, one religion of God, and one people of God, the entire human race.
* Pearls on a string. Muslims contend that Muhammad is the seal of the Prophets; that God sent his best and final messenger to mankind, and any other claimant is an imposter worthy of death. Baha’is believe that God has always sent his teachers with new and updated lessons to educate humanity and shall do so in the future. There have been numberless divine teachers in the course of human history who have appeared to various people. They say that these teachers are like pearls on a string and that Baha’u’llah is the latest, but not the last pearl.
* Independent thinking. Blind imitation is anathema to Baha’is. Baha’is believe that the human mind and the gift of reason should guide the person in making decisions about all matters. To this end, they place a premium on education and independent investigation of truth.
Baha’is consider the education of women as important as that of men, since women are the early teachers of children and can play their valuable part by being themselves educated. By contrast, Muslims look to religious authorities for guidance and often deprive women of education and independent thinking.
In recognition of the importance of independent thinking, no one is born Baha’i. Once one is born to a Muslim, he is considered Muslim for life. If he decides to leave Islam, he is labeled apostate and, apostates are automatically condemned to death. By contrast, every child born in a Baha’i family is required to make his own independent decision regarding whether or not he wishes to be a Baha’i. Freedom to choose and independent thinking are cherished values of the Baha’is, in stark contrast to that of the closed-minded Islamists.
* Religion or science. Baha’is believe that truth transcends all boundaries. Scientific and religious truth emanate from the same universal source. They are like the two sides of the same coin. To Baha’is, science and religion are as two wings of a bird that enable humanity’s flight toward the summit of its potential; that any religious belief that contradicts science is superstition. Muslims believe that their religious scripture and dogma, irrespective of their proven falsehood, are superior to that of science.
* Gender equality. Muslims hold the view, expressly stated in the Qur’an, that men are rulers over women. Baha’is reject this notion and subscribe to the unconditional equality of rights for the two sexes. This Baha’i principle emancipates one half of humanity from the status of subservient domestic to that of a fully participating and self-actualized human. It aims to put an end to the heartless exploitation of women and demands that women be treated with all due respect under the law.
* Participatory decision-making. Islam, by its very nature, is patriarchal and authoritarian. Baha’is believe in the value of decision making through the practice of consultation; a process where everyone, irrespective of any and all considerations, has a voice in making decisions. This participatory decision-making principle abrogates a major prerogative of Islamic clergy who have been dictating matters to their liking and advantage. Also, at all levels of society, including the family, all affected members have the opportunity, even the responsibility, to make their views known without fear. Baha’i teachings clearly emphasize this commitment to a democratic decision-making in their scripture, “The shining spark of truth cometh forth only after the clash of differing opinions.”
* World-embracing outlook. Baha’is love their native countries, yet extend that same love to the entire planet and its people. Baha’is believe that love has no limit and need not have limits. One can love his country and love the world at the same time. This love of the world is frequently used as a pretense by the Islamists to accuse the Baha’is of Iran as traitors to their own homeland. It is for this reason that the present mullahs ruling Iran falsely claim that the Baha’is are agents of the Zionist Israel and its American sponsor.
* Eradication of prejudice. Prejudice of any type is alien to the Baha'i faith and severely undermines its pivotal principle of the oneness of humanity. Muslims are notorious when it comes to prejudice. Prejudice against others is thoroughly exploited by the Islamists. In contrast, Baha’i scriptures say, “…again, as to religious, racial, national and political bias: all these prejudices strike at the very root of human life; one and all they beget bloodshed, and the ruination of the world. So long as these prejudices survive, there will be continuous and fearsome wars.”
* Abolition of priesthood. A major point of conflict involves the abolition of the clergy. Baha’is believe that humanity has matured enough that it no longer needs a cast of professional clergy to serve peoples’ religious needs. By one stroke, this Baha’i teaching puts hundreds of thousands of mullahs and imams out of business and arouses the powerful cast of the do-nothing clergy to fight to retain their highly privileged parasitic positions.
It is imperative for the free people of the world to defend freedom of conscience, including freedom of religion, irrespective of one’s own personal belief. It is for this reason that as a person who is not a Baha’i, I find it my solemn duty to speak up on behalf of a peaceful people, severely-persecuted by the savage Islamists.
