Apostasy in Islam: LondonSpirit vs. Ibn Kammuna – Part II

PDF versionDear Sir, As I mentioned in my previous letter under heading, Thank You For Your Service, which you have kindly displayed on your home page for a few days, I left Islam some 30 years ago for reasons I had given in my letter. Therefore, I look at above debate on your web page as someone totally impartial. I do not know who LondonSpirit and Ibn Kammuna are, though both names seem original and obviousely chosen by imaginative folks. I must say that I began to develop a headache after reading a few paragraphs of the debate. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry considering the arguements over the words, "apostate" and "hypocrite". My difficulty and dismay arose not by the arguement between the 2 honorable debators, but by GOD's actions as quoted in the verses of Qur'an. For example, in 004:088 of Quran it reads when Allah cast them back (to disbelief), in another translation Allah has made them return (to unbelief) . What amazes me is why would Allah be in the business of damning people, decieving them and bouncing them back and forth from unbelief to belief then back to unbelief. Why would He " make them ". You see, that's where I lost interest as the whole premise to me was wrong. That wasn't the way I had thought of God. Since I left Islam 30 years ago I percieved God to be Love, to be Truth ( not a charlatan and deciever ), to be Light, in Him there is no darkness. I thought of God like a loving Daddy or Mummy whom I could go to for comfort, encouragement, who would lift me up and dust me clean if I fell down, tell me things will be all right. In short God to me is a wonderfully good friend who would lay down His life for me. I want a God I can Trust, Believe , have Faith in . I may be very naive and simple , but I thank God that I don't have to read or listen to things like behead the apostate or the hypocrite, hide behind stones, catch and slay the unbelievers anymore. My dear friends, God created us with a totally free choice. What we do with it and whether we choose to Love, Praise and Worship Him is up to us individually. He is the "Just " judge, let Him judge us according to His Holy standard when we come face to face with Him. The Judgement is the LORD's. He is the giver of life so who are we to take away life in His name. How dare we . Thank you for allowing me to write to you. Parviz

I actually tried to avoid writing a second part of the debate with Londonspirit. But he kept insisting on it. The first part is okay as it allows his analysis and mine to be presented to the reader. But LS is not a logical reader and did not even grasp the substance of my analysis. So, I gave it a second shot.
I am sorry that the second part was not enjoyable to read for you.

This website is an insult to intelligent human beings. The so called Dr. Ali Sina thinks that he is so smart. In fact, every negative statement about Islam or the prophet Mohammed that is said on this web site is false. I wonder if the so called Dr. Ali Sina has studied logic or what is Type Alpha and Type Beta errors are. This web site uses Type Alpha errors to mislead the unfortunates who did not pass or have a degree in logic or mathematics. The so called Dr. Ali Sina is challenged to reply to this posting and show a solid prove to every negative claim he is making about Islam or the prophet Mohamed in a logical and mathematical way. Hear say is not an acceptable proof in logic and mathematics. Proofs presented here by so call Dr. Ali Sina are a hear say and are simply a logical fallacy. These proofs do not concur to logical standards and simply are wrong and misleading.

Is this the work of some GOD or men?
Why does a CREATOR GOD need to think, behave and act like a tribesman?

If apostates of Islam embrace any other belief system, they are hypocrites. They remain slaves to the same CREATOR GOD as they were before. The only change is in the name of GOD, the "HOLY BOOK" and the man who told about that GOD.

This is a physical change of belief system that can be undone at any other time as the CHOICE is always there to DO/UNDO. No qualitative change whatever.
