You really have to read it in Arabic to appreciate the full impact what he is saying. Surprised he hasn't been killed yet. in essence he is saying that to move forward, the Quran does not ready made solutions (imaginary he calls them) to humanity. A person cannot be worshipped. Europe and the Far East achieved this by utilising this separation, he also notes that in the Islamic world, when such a system came to life it has been destroyed. Worship the oneness of God and forget about the Quran and Mohammed who is just a messenger.

The author's strategy is good actually. Putting Muhammad as a fallible figure is probably the first step for Arabs to stand back and look at his personality with a critical eye. The rest is really easy: Just read article by people like Sina, Spencer, Ibn Warraq, Khan, Shaikh..etc. After that, Muslims will leave Islam in droves. This will happen in my lifetime I believe.

In capitalism everyone must work hard to make money. Those that don't work hard complain. Also if it weren't for capitalism the oil rich arab countries would not be so wealthy.

Can you analyze Suraa At Tahrim please? Then see from which point of view that the story is morally justified or superior? Study one more Suraa, Al-Masad, it's divine curse, quite "beautiful". Indeed, these two Suraa are a shame in Islam as they narrated events that possessed no ethical values at all. How can you rationally accept these garbage to be part of your holy Islamic doctrine?

In Suraa An Nisa', it is stated that equality is the basis of polygamous marriage. However, Suraa At Tahrim elaborate on the inequality practiced by the "prophet" Muhammad with regards to his wife that cause them to rebel against him. Unless you walk the walk and talk the talk, you are an impostor hypocrite as in the case of Muhammad.

This may be true - there are certainly those who would argue that all religions stifle the free-thinking that is required for progress.
What is certainly true is that if, within a religion, there is a mind-set that says 'here are all the answers, anything else or new is blashphemy' or something similar then progress will not occur.

‏[66:1] بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ‏
‎[66:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. ‎
‏[66:1] اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ جو بے انتہا رحم کرنے والا، بِن مانگے دینے والا (اور) بار بار ‏رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:2] يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَاۤ اَحَلَّ اللّٰهُ لَـكَ‌ۚ تَبْتَغِىْ مَرْضَاتَ ‏اَزْوَاجِكَ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ‏ ‏
‎[66:2] O Prophet! why dost thou forbid thyself that which Allah has made lawful to ‎thee, seeking the pleasure of thy wives? And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful. ‎
‏[66:2] اے نبی! تُو کیوں حرام کررہا ہے جسے اللہ نے تیرے لئے حلال قرار دیا ہے۔ تُو اپنی بیویوں ‏کی رضا چاہتا ہے اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:3] قَدْ فَرَضَ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمْ تَحِلَّةَ اَيْمَانِكُمْ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ مَوْلٰٮكُمْ‌ۚ وَهُوَ ‏الْعَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيْمُ‏ ‏
‎[66:3] Allah has indeed allowed to you the dissolution of your oaths, and Allah is your ‎Friend; and He is All-Knowing, Wise. ‎
‏[66:3] اللہ نے تم پر اپنی قسمیں کھولنا لازم کردیا ہے۔ اور اللہ تمہارا مولا ہے اور وہ صاحبِ علم ‏‏(اور) صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:4] وَاِذْ اَسَرَّ النَّبِىُّ اِلٰى بَعْضِ اَزْوَاجِهٖ حَدِيْثًا‌ۚ فَلَمَّا نَـبَّاَتْ بِهٖ ‏وَاَظْهَرَهُ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهٗ وَاَعْرَضَ عَنْۢ بَعْضٍ‌ۚ فَلَمَّا نَـبَّاَهَا بِهٖ ‏قَالَتْ مَنْ اَنْۢبَاَكَ هٰذَا‌ؕ قَالَ نَـبَّاَنِىَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْخَبِیْرُ‏ ‏
‎[66:4] And when the Prophet confided a matter unto one of his wives and she then ‎divulged it, and Allah informed him of it, he made known to her part thereof, and ‎avoided mentioning part of it. And when he informed her of it, she said, ‘Who has ‎informed thee of it?’ He said, ‘The All-Knowing, the All-Aware God has informed me.’ ‎
‏[66:4] اور جب نبی نے اپنی بیویوں میں سے کسی سے بصیغہء راز ایک بات کہی۔ پھر جب اس ‏نے وہ بات (آگے) بتا دی اور اللہ نے اُس (یعنی نبی) پر وہ (معاملہ) ظاہر کر دیا تو اُس نے کچھ ‏حصہ سے تو اُس (بیوی) کو آگاہ کردیا اور کچھ سے چشم پوشی کی۔ پس جب اُس نے اُس (بیوی) کو اِس ‏کی خبر دی تو اُس نے پوچھا کہ آپ کو کس نے بتایا ہے ؟ تو اس نے کہا کہ علیم و خبیر نے ‏مجھے بتایا ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:5] اِنْ تَتُوْبَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوْبُكُمَا‌ۚ وَاِنْ تَظٰهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ ‏مَوْلٰٮهُ وَجِبْرِيْلُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‌ۚ وَالْمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ ظَهِيْرٌ‏ ‏
‎[66:5] Now if you two turn unto Allah repentant, it will be better for you, and your ‎hearts are already so inclined. But if you back up each other against him, surely ‎Allah is his Helper and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers; and ‎furthermore, all other angels too are his helpers. ‎
‏[66:5] اگر تم دونوں اللہ کی طرف توبہ کرتے ہوئے جھکو تو (یہی زیبا ہے کیونکہ) تم دونوں ‏کے دل مائل (بہ گناہ) ہوچکے تھے اور اگر تم دونوں اُس کے خلاف ایک دوسرے کی مدد کرو تو ‏یقیناً اللہ ہی اس کا مولیٰ ہے اور جبرائیل بھی اور مومنوں میں سے ہر صالح شخص بھی اور مزید ‏برآں فرشتے بھی اس کے پشت پناہ ہیں۔ ‏

‏[66:6] عَسٰى رَبُّهٗۤ اِنْ طَلَّقَكُنَّ اَنْ يُّبْدِلَهٗۤ اَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِّنْكُنَّ مُسْلِمٰتٍ ‏مُّؤْمِنٰتٍ قٰنِتٰتٍ تٰٓٮِٕبٰتٍ عٰبِدٰتٍ سٰٓٮِٕحٰتٍ ثَيِّبٰتٍ وَّاَبْكَارًا‏ ‏
‎[66:6] It may be that, if he divorce you, his Lord will give him instead wives better ‎than you — resigned, believing, obedient, always turning to God, devout in worship, ‎given to fasting, both widows and virgins. ‎
‏[66:6] قریب ہے کہ اگر وہ تمہیں طلاق دیدے (تو) اس کا ربّ تمہارے بدلے اُس کے لئے تم سے ‏بہتر ازواج لے آئے، مسلمان، ایمان والیاں، فرمانبردار، توبہ کرنے والیاں، عبادت کرنے والیاں، ‏روزے رکھنے والیاں، بیوائیں اور کنواریاں۔ ‏

‏[66:7] يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا قُوْۤا اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَاَهْلِيْكُمْ نَارًا وَّقُوْدُهَا النَّاسُ ‏وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلٰٓٮِٕكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُوْنَ اللّٰهَ مَاۤ اَمَرَهُمْ ‏وَيَفْعَلُوْنَ مَا يُؤْمَرُوْنَ‏ ‏
‎[66:7] O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is ‎men and stones, over which are appointed angels, stern and severe, who disobey ‎not Allah in what He commands them and do as they are commanded. ‎
‏[66:7] اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے اہل و عیال کو آگ سے بچاؤ جس کا ایندھن ‏انسان اور پتھر ہیں۔ اُس پر بہت سخت گیر قوی فرشتے (مسلط) ہیں۔ وہ اللہ کی، اُس بارہ میں جو ‏وہ انہیں حکم دے، نافرمانی نہیں کرتے اور وہی کرتے ہیں جو وہ حکم دیئے جاتے ہیں۔ ‏

‏[66:8] يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَا تَعْتَذِرُوْا الْيَوْمَ‌ؕ اِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ ‏تَعْمَلُوْنَ‎‎‏ ‏
‎[66:8] O ye who disbelieve! make no excuses this day. You are requited for what you ‎did. ‎
‏[66:8] اے وہ لوگو جنہوں نے کفر کیا! آج عذر پیش نہ کرو۔ یقیناً تمہیں صرف اُسی کی جزا دی جائے ‏گی جو تم کیا کرتے تھے۔ ‏

‏[66:9] يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا تُوْبُوْۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوْحًاؕ عَسٰى رَبُّكُمْ اَنْ ‏يُّكَفِّرَ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّاٰتِكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَـكُمْ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُۙ يَوْمَ لَا ‏يُخْزِى اللّٰهُ النَّبِىَّ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَعَهٗ‌ۚ نُوْرُهُمْ يَسْعٰى بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ ‏وَبِاَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اَتْمِمْ لَـنَا نُوْرَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَـنَا‌ۚ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ ‏شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ‏ ‏
‎[66:9] O ye who believe! turn to Allah in sincere repentance. It may be that your Lord ‎will remove the evil consequences of your deeds and make you enter Gardens ‎through which rivers flow, on the day when Allah will not abase the Prophet nor ‎those who have believed with him. Their light will run before them and on their right ‎hands. They will say, ‘Our Lord, perfect our light for us and forgive us; surely Thou ‎hast power over all things.’ ‎
‏[66:9] اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! اللہ کی طرف خالص توبہ کرتے ہوئے جھکو۔ بعید نہیں کہ ‏تمہارا ربّ تم سے تمہاری برائیاں دورکردے اور تمہیں ایسی جنتوں میں داخل کرے جن کے دامن میں ‏نہریں بہتی ہیں، جس دن اللہ نبی کو اور ان کو رُسوا نہیں کرے گا جو اس کے ساتھ ایمان ‏لائے۔ ان کا نور ان کے آگے بھی تیزی سے چلے گا اور ان کے دائیں بھی۔ وہ کہیں گے ‏اے ہمارے ربّ! ہمارے لئے ہمارے نور کو مکمل کردے اور ہمیں بخش دے۔ یقیناً تو ہر چیز پر ‏جسے تُو چاہے دائمی قدرت رکھتا ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:10] يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ‌ؕ وَمَاْوٰٮهُمْ ‏جَهَنَّمُ‌ؕ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ‏ ‏
‎[66:10] O Prophet! strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites; and be ‎strict against them. Their home is Hell, and an evil destination it is! ‎
‏[66:10] اے نبی! کفار سے اور منافقین سے جہاد کر اور ان کے مقابلہ پر سختی کر۔ اور اُن کا ٹھکانا ‏جہنّم ہے اور وہ بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے۔ ‏

‏[66:11] ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّـلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا امْرَاَتَ نُوْحٍ وَّ امْرَاَتَ لُوْطٍ‌ؕ ‏كَانَـتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَالِحَـيْنِ فَخَانَتٰهُمَا فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَا عَنْهُمَا ‏مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْــًٔا وَّقِيْلَ ادْخُلَا النَّارَ مَعَ الدَّاخِلِيْنَ‏ ‏
‎[66:11] Allah sets forth for those who disbelieve the example of the wife of Noah and ‎the wife of Lot. They were under two righteous servants of Ours, but they acted ‎unfaithfully towards them. So they availed them naught against Allah, and it was ‎said to them, ‘Enter the Fire, ye twain, along with those who enter.’ ‎
‏[66:11] اللہ نے اُن لوگوں کے لئے جنہوں نے کفر کیا نوح کی بیوی اور لوط کی بیوی کی مثال بیان ‏کی ہے۔ وہ دونوں ہمارے دو صالح بندوں کے ماتحت تھیں۔ پس ان دونوں نے ان سے خیانت کی تو ‏وہ اُن کو اللہ کی پکڑ سے ذرا بھی بچا نہ سکے اور کہا گیا کہ تم دونوں داخل ہونے والوں کے ‏ساتھ آگ میں داخل ہو جاؤ۔ ‏

‏[66:12] وَضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّـلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا امْرَاَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ‌ۘ اِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ ‏لِىْ عِنْدَكَ بَيْتًا فِىْ الْجَـنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِىْ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهٖ وَنَجِّنِىْ مِنَ ‏الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَۙ‏ ‏
‎[66:12] And Allah sets forth for those who believe the example of the wife of Pharaoh ‎when she said, ‘My Lord! build for me a house with Thee in the Garden; and deliver ‎me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from the wrongdoing people;’ ‎
‏[66:12] اوراللہ نے اُن لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان لائے فرعون کی بیوی کی مثال دی ہے۔ جب اس نے ‏کہا اے میرے ربّ! میرے لئے اپنے حضور جنت میں ایک گھر بنادے اور مجھے فرعون سے اور ‏اس کے عمل سے بچالے اور مجھے ان ظالم لوگوں سے نجات بخش۔ ‏

‏[66:13] وَمَرْيَمَ ابْنَتَ عِمْرٰنَ الَّتِىْۤ اَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيْهِ مِنْ رُّوْحِنَا ‏وَصَدَّقَتْ بِكَلِمٰتِ رَبِّهَا وَكُتُبِهٖ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْقٰنِتِيْنَ‏‎‎‏ ‏
‎[66:13] And the example of Mary, the daughter of ‘Imran, who guarded her private ‎parts — so We breathed into him of Our Spirit — and she fulfilled in her person the ‎words of her Lord and His Books and was one of the obedient. ‎
‏[66:13] اور عمران کی بیٹی مریم کی (مثال دی ہے) جس نے اپنی عصمت کو اچھی طرح بچائے ‏رکھا تو ہم نے اس (بچے) میں اپنی روح میں سے کچھ پھونکا اور اس (کی ماں) نے اپنے ربّ ‏کے کلمات کی تصدیق کی اور اس کی کتابوں کی بھی اور وہ فرمانبرداروں میں سے تھی۔ ‏

Thanks for translating Chapter 66 or Suraa At Tahrim. First and foremost, you have to educate yourself with regards to the Asbaabul Nuzul or Reason of Relevation of this chapter in the Quran. Do you know who is Mariyya Al- Qibtiyya? She was a female slave, a gift from the ruler of Coptic Egypt at that time. She was a Christian and "Prophet MUhammad never married her except utilizing her sexually in Hafsah's house. When Hafsah found out about this, she became enraged and threaten to disclose the secrets to other wives. She recanted later at the persuasion of Muhammad. However, She informed Aisha about this and caused certain commotion among the consorts. Muhammad took an oath of abstinence till the relevation of this chapter, Suraa At Tahrim.

Whenever a verse of Quran was revealed it also hinted the subject on which it was ‎revealed in its text or context; those who wrote Asbaabul Nuzul or Reason of Relevation ‎some hundred years later; their approach is uncalled for and irrevalent. Perhaps they ‎never understood Quran properly; Quran needs no extraneous material in this connection.

The cause of the descent of revelation of Quran is messing up of all the revealed ‎religions, their followers, and their books; with Quran this mess up was to be cleared and ‎humanity was to be put on the right path; it is very much mentioned in Quran.

The interpretation of the Surah as mentioned by you is self-contradictory. If such an ‎event as mentioned by you would have happened and as you suggest Quran is authored ‎by Muhammad and not by God Allah YHWH; Muhammad would have not metioned it in ‎Quran and would have concealed it altogether. ‎
So you have first to believe that Quran was authored by God Allah YHWH; otherwise ‎your interpretation won’t fit in the context of the Quran naturally. It is an artificial story ‎invented at a much later time.

I can safely assume that you rejected the explanation by later Islamic scholars with regards to the reson of Suraa At- Tahrim's revelation, am I right? I never expect an Ahmadi to be Quran-only nowadays. It's fine with me though.

This is called Circular reasoning or reverse psychology method applied by you to compel your mind in believing the Quran as a divine book. Since the Suraa At Tahrim obviously has no moral velue whatsoever in its whole content, you resort to this method as an asylum of your mind in order not to transgress the limit. I was exactly in the same shoes as you before, because I was a Muslim too. If you already accept the first premise, why trying to prove it? In other words, for an objective approach when it comes to the Quran, we must commence with doubt so that we will be free from prejudice and biasness.

The credulous Muslims in the time of "Prophet" Muhammad believed him to be a messenger and when he recited this verse, claiming they were from God Almighty, they definitely believe him. Once your intelligence is being submitted to someone, you tend to accept everything from him, hook, line and sinker. This is human's folly inherent in their creation since their first emergence on this planet.

Your assertion that Muhammad should have concealed the episode does not sound tenable because the scapegoat must be publicly announced, in this case, Aisha and Hafsa. Just imagine you are a girl who has a polygamous husband who does not treat you equally, what will you feel? Dejected?

By the way, if you do not accept the Siraa and hadith for background reason of Suraa At-Tahrim being revealed, the fact will remain concealed for eternity. How do you explain the two persons that being threaten to separate from Muhammad then?

Please Mr Paarsurrey, do not engage in whitewashing Islam as most Muslims do since more than 1400 years ago. It's sad that we have 1.5 billion followers of Islam who has been brainwashed to accept this impostor charlatan as prophet of god.

To agree or not to agree with a person is only essentianl if he is on truth; just by one’s ‎position or status one cannot correctly claim to be on truth. We will accept one if one is ‎proved right by Quran/Islam/Muhammad, otherwise not. ‎

A scholar is just a human being; if he errs we don’t have to believe in him.It is not among ‎the five essentials of faith. Since you left Islam/Quran/Muhammad, you might have ‎forgotten this thing. Nevermind you may recal it now.‎

I don’t mind if you assume that I have rejected the explanation by later or earlier Islamic ‎scholars; if they made a mistake, they are mistaken, not to be followed. Just bring out the ‎reason they put forward; if it is approved by Quran and Sunnah; we can check that. It is ‎not difficult; we have Quran open before us; if one is not supported by Quran then one ‎must be rejected. The story you mentioned neither fits with the Surah/chapter, nor with ‎the character of Muhammad, which was so natural and exemplary, as I already explained ‎to you. The Surah is in fact an amazing Surah, in my opinion.‎
