Darfur

They are all Fascists and Nazis

On the fifth anniversary of 9/11/01, President Bush addressed the nation from the Oval Office of the White House. I listened carefully to his speech, and appreciated his firmness and resolve to pursue the war on terrorism. I did not hear him once utter the word “c.” He had used that expression not long ago in one of his speeches; but was criticized for that by some Muslim organizations in the USA. It was also rumored that the State Department objected to any such labels that would link radical Islamic organizations to either Fascism or Nazism.

Darfur: Shame on Black Muslims!

During the recent Israel-Hezbollah war in Lebanon, Muslims here in Nigeria's Islamic North demonstrated in support of the Shiite terror group. Several months ago, Muslims again here in northern Nigeria massacred hundreds of non-Muslims in response to Danish cartoons. Five years ago, when America attacked the Taliban in response to 9/11, Muslims in Kano, northern Nigeria orchestrated a bloodbath of non-Muslims. In the past, there have also been numerous demonstrations and protests in support of the Palestinian cause here in northern Nigeria.

Holding Islam to Account

Islam has spawned many sects that are master practitioners of the art of double standards. As far as Muslims are concerned what is good for Muslims is not good for the non-Muslims; and, what is bad for Muslims is good for non-Muslims. What complicates matters is that there is no way of knowing which of the dozens of at-each-other’s-throat sects is the legitimate Islam. As sooner as Muhammad died his religion of peace became a house of internal war: jockeying for power and leadership started, sects formed and splintered into sub-sects, and bloodletting began in earnest.

Africa’s Terror Threat Real

Dr. Walid Phares Over the past months, the narrative of Washington's "new direction" in world affairs blurred the clarity of the confrontation with the terror forces worldwide. Are we at conflict with a global threat? The administration, insisting on treating the issue locally, claimed otherwise.
