U.S. intelligence officials believe there are dozens – perhaps hundreds – of Americans who have been in e-mail contact with the radical Yemeni cleric who is believed to have inspired and directed both the Fort Hood shooter and the failed Christmas Day airline bomber, the Investigative Project on Terrorism has learned.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP)-- Seven members of Iran's Baha'i minority went on trial on Tuesday on charges of spying and acting against the country's national security, state media reported.

According to state TV Web site, the charges against them also include cooperating with archenemy Israel, gathering classified documents and ''corruption on earth'' -- an Islamic term for crimes punishable with the death sentence in Iran.
