Zakaria Razi

Dr. Javed Ahmad Ghamedi vs. Ali Sina - Part 5

Dear Mr Ali Sina I have received the response from you today. Call it my laziness or lack of understanding of the technicalities of internet, I am solely responsible for this delay. On top of it, your response is pretty "loaded". It will take a little while more before I get back to you. The purpose of this message is to assure you and the visitors to your site that delay from our side shouldn't be construed as withdrawal. The discussion is very much on. Khalid Zaheer Dear Prof. Zaheer

Freethinkers in Muslim World

By Ali Sina  Islamic countries are the most backward countries in the world. If it were not for the oil they would also be the poorest countries. But Muslims keep recalling the luminaries of the so-called golden age of Islam. They name great minds like Zakaria Razi, Abu Ali Sina, Ibn Rushd, etc. who contributed so much to science and to human understanding and try to take credit for Islam.   The truth is that these men, although born in Islamic countries, were not Muslims.  Zakariya ar Razi, (865-925) was perhaps the greatest freethinker in the whole of Islamic world.
