Ali Sina: Why I Left Islam

Editor's note: This testimony was posted on the original FFI site, and was copied here on June 18, 2006. Ali Sina: Why I Left Islam I am often asked, Why I left Islam?. As absurd as it may be, some Muslims cannot even allow themselves to think that leaving Islam is an option, or even possible. They rather think that those who leave Islam are paid Jewish agents than accept the fact that people have freedom to think and some may even think that Islam is not for them. The following are my reasons:

Who Feeds Fundamentalism

Stories of the atrocities and the bigotry of Muslim fundamentalists embarrass the moderate and educated Muslims who desire to live in harmony with their non-Muslim neighbors and feel nothing but compassion for the rest of the world. As we all condemn these religious extremists who blow the buildings, make bombs and engage in acts of terrorism as misguided fanatics we have to question ourselves whether we have any part in these terrorist acts of our most radical fellow coreligionists.

The above question is asked me often.  In this essay I will answer that question. Recently, IntellectualWarfare12, a member of our forum wrote:
