When Arabs promise to destroy Israel or turn American and European cities into infernos with rivers of blood running along the streets, I don't question their sincerity: as soon as they think they can do it, they will try. In most other matters, I tend to distrust them. I certainly get suspicious whenever it comes to numbers. It's not just because the so-called “Arabic numerals” were in fact invented by Hindus. It's mainly because the Islamic concepts of good and evil can be exhaustively described in a single sentence: Whatever is good for jihad is good, period.

In an Israeli air strike in Qana 54 civilians including 30 children were killed. This brought Arab condemnation and according to BBC, a Human Rights Watch accused the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) of treating southern Lebanon as a "free-fire zone" calling this strike a "war crime". It said the failure to distinguish between civilians and combatants could be judged as a war crime. “The Israeli military seems to consider anyone left in the area a combatant who is fair game for attack," said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch.

The author names over 200 "modern Arab intellectuals and authors whom he accuses of heresy—thus making it permissible to kill them.
