Behruz's Testimonial

Editor's note: This testimony was posted on the original FFI site, and was copied here on June 18, 2006. The original date of this testimony is unknown. Behruz My problem with Islam is not new or thought of after the Islamic revolution in Iran , but began many years before most people in the world knew anything about Islam.

“Islamic Imperialism”: A Neglected Topic

Glancing over the comments that have appeared on the Arabic-language online media about the Pope’s lecture in Germany, I noticed most of them have been very critical. Western media, on both sides of the Atlantic, have dealt at length with the Pontiff’s words, and with some reactions coming from the Muslim world.

Is Islam a Tolerant Religion? - Part 2

In my previous article, “Is Islam a Tolerant Religion?” posted on 30 June, 2006, I did not expect it to be Part One of a series of articles on this subject. The Tanweer website, where I saw the Arabic text, gave no indication of a continued discussion of the topic. But while I was glancing at the website of the Arabic online daily Elaph, I discovered Parts II & III of the series.
As is my method in my contributions to FFI, first I begin with excerpts from the article, and then end with my analysis and comments.

Reformation in Islam: “Islam of Mecca” versus “Islam of Medina”

The relatively new Kuwaiti website, Tanweer (Enlightenment --- founded in 2002,) is a forum dedicated for dialog on Democracy, Human Rights, Status of Women, Religious Reformation, Civil Society and Window on Kuwait. In my previous contributions to FaithFreedom.org website, I commented on certain discussions going on among Arab intellectuals who are preoccupied with Tahdith (modernization), Tajdid (renewal), and Islah (reformation.)

Proving the Pope right

Pope Benedict XVI in his speech of September 12 at the University of Regensburg, Germany, perhaps unintentionally provided the Muslims with a golden opportunity: the opportunity to prove to all enemies of Islam that Muhammad indeed gave the world magnificent new teachings.

High Cost of Ignorance - Part I

“Sold down the river”--cheated or deceived. (1)

Chapter One

 • ig-no-rance (ignr-ns)n.

 • The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed

.
According to the common understanding of the word, as well as to the defining of it by the American Dictionary, to state that someone is ignorant on a topic is to state that that one is “uneducated, unenlightened, unread, unschooled, untaught, untutored” on the said topic.

Nicholas K. Thanks the FFI Staff

From: Nicholas K. To: faithfreedom2@gmail.com Date: May 5, 2006 7:39 AM Subject: The disease of the Muslim Mind Hi Ali, I was recently pehroozing through Wikipedia when I found a User's page who fits in exactly with what you were saying about Islam turning the convert against anyone who the satan religion tells them to. This guy is an Irishman, he was a nominal catholic until he was about 18 but then converted to Islam. He now has userboxes all over his page supporting the independence of: - The so called 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus'
