A Perspective on Islam

“Huge promises of goodies both in this as well as the next are reserved for men including pleasure objects women. Four wives and as many concubines as a man desires and can afford. What to women get, if they are servile to men and satisfy them? They will be also admitted to paradise. No specific goodies for them in paradise. Perhaps even there they must continue to service men’s lust. Not a bad fraud launched by Muhammad and perpetrated by hook or crook by a bunch of his savage follower men.”

What the Quran Says about the Apostates of Islam? “Just Kill Them”

The Quran’s ultimate command for dealing with the apostates of Islam is to kill them. And Allah arrived at His final decision of killing the apostates in a step-by-step process as situation permitted with Muhammad’s rising power…

I Left Islam: testimony of a former convert to Islam

I’m often asked, despite knowing the pros and cons of Islaam, why would a Westerner embrace a religion they hated? Though surrounded by believers, while growing up as a child, I was essentially an agnostic. I pondered that, if this Creator actually existed, an unbiased investigation was needed to discover who He was and what He wanted from me. The following testimony is a trustworthy account of a journey through Islaam.

Questions and answers on Leaving Islam

Most of my family members are not aware of my apostasy. Only a handful of them know that I have left Islam. They are very considerate, do not bother me too much, and I would say they are very supportive. Only a handful of my friends know about my apostasy. They are also apostates or have serious doubts about Islam.

Islam Was Not For Me

For one thing, I had a very difficult time following a so-called religion whose founder and followers had butchered my ancestors, raped and sold our women, burned our libraries, and destroyed our magnificent culture. Islam was forced down the throats of Iranians with the sword of Allah. In my heart, I never considered myself a Muslim. However, I didn’t reveal this until later in life for fear of retribution by radical Muslims.

Silenced: How Apostasy and Blasphemy Laws are Choking Freedom Worldwide

“Apostasy is, in principle, subject to sharia hudud rules, which means that the punishment—death—is believed to be fixed by divine order and not subject to judicial discretion…,” write Paul Marshall and Nina Shea in chapter two of Silenced: How Apostasy and Blasphemy Laws are Choking Freedom Worldwide (p. 23), without further explanation.

Hostage of Islam

I Declare My Apostasy

The moment we try to fight an apparent truth or reality we begin to dwell in hypocrisy: understanding that something is apparently true and yet denying it for selfish reasons or attachment to preconceived notions. I want to thank Ali Sina for giving me the platform to explore Islam and to expose its primitive nature as incompatible with contemporary reality unless and until Muslims choose to reform it.

Leaving Islam for Good

by АЛИ МАЖИДИЯН (Majidian) When I entered Yasouj University in Boyer-Ahmad, Iran in 1998, almost every day I read the Quran and prayed regularly. My Testimony

I was a Muslim, a Reformist, for 25 years. Much like Irshad Manji, my quest was trying to prove that Islam teaches beautiful things, that it has been hijacked by the Radicals. Soon-to-be Ex Muslimah

How can I live with myself if being a Muslim, I am aware that others of my faith will willfully kill and slaughter people in the name of God? What God is that, I ask? It’s not the God I know, the God I trust, the God that has brought me to where I am today. My parents taught me it’s wrong to hurt others, to steal, to Kill another human….whether religious or not, we all know it is just plain WRONG!!! No God of our universe would teach that. God takes our lives when he is ready to.

The reason why I looked into Islam was the age-old reason of becoming involved with a Muslim man (very westernized and liberal – a lovely person by the way, we’re not together anymore but still get on well). He never pushed me to take up his religion, but remarked one day that if that if he ever married a westerner, to be acceptable to his family she would have to ‘convert’, although he himself wasn’t bothered if it was in name only.

I’m from Malaysia. I left Islam early this year after years waiting for the right time to do it. I have always been a person who likes to think and find out reasons for everything. I thought that since I was a muslim, I wanted to be a good one. So I prayed 5 times a day. I tried to love God when actually I felt that I only pray so that I wouldn’t go to hell.

Introduction: Testimonies of Those Who Left Islam

Testimonies of Those Who Left Islam
by Ali Sina

I have dedicated this section to stories of people who have become disillusioned with Islam and have left it. Naturally their ID has been kept in secret and in some cases I have changed the names. This is necessary to protect them from becoming the target of Islamic persecution. The penalty of apostasy in Islam is death. Here is my own testimony.
