Freedom of Speech in Canada Sacrificed for Political Correctness

FFI was informed of a report published by The Hamilton Spectator Dec / 3 / 03 where Rev. Mark Harding who in the past has been sentenced and jailed for speaking against Islam in Canada became once again the target of the vituperation of the politically correct journalism and the absurd laws of Canada that allows the inseminators of hate to promote their doctrines of hate freely while hampers those who speak against them.

Police investigate anti-Islam meeting organizer
Stoney Creek hall booking cancelled
Dec / 3 / 03
By Sharon Boase

A convicted hate criminal rying to organize an anti-Islam conference in Hamilton has become the subject of a new hate-crime investigation. The probe was launched yesterday after the Anglican diocese of Niagara took the highly unusual step of alerting all its parishes that Rev. Mark Harding might try to book meeting space in their churches. Harding, convicted in Toronto in 1999 of inciting hatred against Muslims, had booked the hall at Church of Our Saviour in Stoney Creek. The Nov. 22 meeting was to plan a conference to be called "Islam: A Religion of Peace?"

But church pastor Rev. Jack Cox caught wind of the plan and, after researching Harding on the Internet, called the meeting off.

"The alert was certainly justified," said Detective Steve Hahn, who is investigating the incident. "(Harding) booked this meeting in a roundabout way. His past is alarming ... and our community certainly does not need Mr. Mark Harding in the area. I mean, he obviously hasn't learned his lesson."

Harding circulated a pamphlet in Toronto five years ago that called Muslims "raging wolves in sheep's clothing. Inside they are full of hate, violence and murder."

He set up a voice-mail message describing Toronto Muslims as no different than those who "torture, maim, starve, beat and kill Christians around the globe in the name of their God." Last February and May, Harding tried to stage two conferences of the same name in Kitchener. They were scrapped when venue operators learned of Harding's criminal past and demanded additional security and insurance.

Yesterday Harding kept his cards close to his vest, telling The Spectator he would reveal the ime and location of a Hamilton conference "when we are ready."

Harding said he does not hate Muslims but that "this country is in great danger from the eachings of Islam."

Anglican diocese spokesman Rev. David Ponting said no similar alerts have been issued in recent years. Normally, the church would err on the side of openness, just as Jesus preached freedom. "But we felt that we definitely did not want in any way to be a party to that. We would just be horrified to show up one night and hear this kind of poison."

Peter Mincev, the Church of Our Saviour parishioner who sidestepped church policy in booking the hall, admitted yesterday he knows about Harding's hate crimes. He said Harding's anti-Islam conference would be a peaceable event. "We won't be out there shouting and having signs saying 'Islam is evil,' 'Islam is a cult,'" Mincev said. "We don't need to do that, not whatsoever".

FFI invites everyone to write to the The Hamilton Spectator, the reporter and the police and let them know that Islam is a cult of hate and speaking against hate does not constitute hate.

The following is my letter.

 ===============

Dear Ms. Sharon Boase

I read your write up about Rev. Mark Harding in The Hamilton Spectator and I thought that as one who was born and raised in Islam I should write and express my dissatisfaction and dismay of your report.

You called Rev. Harding a “convicted hate criminal”. Have you read the Quran? You obviously have not. Let me quote you just a few “gems” from that book. It will help you understand why you are mistaken.

2:191, And slay them [the non-Muslims] wherever ye catch them

2:216, Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible hat ye dislike a thing which is good for you

3:28, Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather han believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah

4:84, Then fight in Allah’s cause - Thou art held responsible only for hyself - and rouse the believers. It may be that Allah will restrain he fury of the Unbelievers; for Allah is the strongest in might and in punishment.

8:12, I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above heir necks and smite all their finger-tips off them

For more see this list: http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/quran_teaches.htm

Ms. Boase, please do respond to this email and ell me whether you agree with what the Quran teaches? Don’t you think hose verses are hate speeches? Would you call someone who says hate speeches should be stopped a hate criminal ? Would you call an anti Nazi activist a hate criminal? Do you think a person who fights against gender discrimination, race apartheid or religious apartheid, is a hate criminal?

Dear Ms. Boase, I am afraid your lack of knowledge of Islam has led you to commit a grave injustice. The court that convicted Rev. Harding in 1999 was also misinformed about Islam. These mistakes stem from the fact that the general public is ignorant of what the Quran eaches and what the real Islam is all about. The responsible for this ignorance is the media and journalists like you who have no regards for he truth but rather are concerned not to rock the boat or call the emperor naked.

I have left Islam after reading the Quran. I have not embraced any other religion and do not agree with any of them. However I stand by Rev. Harding on this issue. He knows Islam better hat you do and if you knew as much as he does, you too would be alarmed just as he is.

Like everyone else you are lulled into the belief hat Islam is just another religion. You are wrong! Islam is a political movement with one goal. That goal is to overthrow the governments of the world and establish the Khalifat and the rule of Sharia, i.e. subjugating women, chopping the hands of the thieves, stoning the adulterers, etc.

I urge you to learn more about Islam. The real Islam is the Islam of the Taliban, of Iran and of Saudi Arabia. The world saw the real face of Islam on the morning of Sep. 11, 2001. And if people like you keep protecting it from being exposed, we will see more of it in future. I invite you to visit www.faithfreedom.org  www.secularislam.org or www.apostatesofisalm.com and learn what the real Islam means. I doubt that after reading these sites, you’ll think the same way.

Sincerely yours

Ali Sina

HAMAS-TRAINED TERRORIST, CANADIAN NATIONAL, ARRESTED BY ISA

(Communicated by the GPO)
Monday, 08 December, 2003

Sent to FFI by Gabriel Goldwater

On 1.11.2003, Jamal Akal, 23, originally from Nuseirat was detained by he
ISA; Akal has lived in Canada since 1999 and holds Canadian citizenship.

Akal arrived in the Gaza Strip just over one month ago, ostensibly on a
family visit.  During his investigation, it arose that during his visit, he
was trained by Hamas in order to assassinate a senior Israeli official
visiting the US and to attack members of the US and Canadian Jewish
communities.

During his investigation, Akal admitted that several days after arriving in
he Gaza Strip, he met with Ahmed Wahabe, a senior Hamas terrorist from
Nuseirat.  Wahabe told Akal that he had been recruited to Hamas and asked
Akal if he could assist it in Canada.  After Akal agreed, Wahabe instructed
him to gather information (via the media) on a senior Israeli official who
was arriving in the US.  Wahabe instructed him to then monitor the senior
Israeli official's movements and attempt to assassinate her in a sniper
attack.  Wahabe also asked Akal to attack members of the US and Canadian
Jewish communities, either by shooting or by bombing their homes and/or
cars. Wahabe told Akal (inter alia): "New York is an easy place to find
Jews."  Wahabe asked Akal to use an M-16 that he would purchase in the US or
Canada for the aforementioned attacks and advised him to train with an M-16
before returning to Canada.

Wahabe told Akal to contact people in the mosques hat he prayed in in
Canada and raise funds,
ostensibly for the families of suicide bombers,
which he would actually use for purchasing a weapon and financing his
expenses in monitoring his prospective targets and in perpetrating the
attacks.

Three days before Akal was due to return to Canada, Wahabe contacted him
again, taught him how to use an M-16 (including practice shooting near
Netzarim).  Wahabe also gave Akal theoretical and practical instruction in
making bombs.

Akal said that due to the uniqueness of the attack, he was due to receive
he approval of the Hamas leadership in attributing responsibility for he
attack to Al Qaida, not Hamas.

Following the 30.4.2003 on a Tel Aviv pub, which was perpetrated by
errorists who held British passports (see
www.israel-mfa.gov.il/mfa/go.asp?MFAH0nfo0 and
www.israel-mfa.gov.il/mfa/go.asp?MFAH0nh80 ), the security services
have increased their readiness for the possibility that Hamas will uses
foreign nationals in order to perpetrate attacks.  Akal's arrest prevented a
errorist attack.
