Sahih Imam Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 186 …Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: To run along the valley between two green pillars (idols) of Safa (Isaf) and Marwa (Naila) was not sunna (tradition), but the people in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance used to run along it, and used to say: “We do not cross this rain stream except running strongly. ”
Quran 2:158 Indeed, as-safa (Isaf) and al-Marwah (Naila) are among the symbols of
al Lah. So whoever makes hajj to the Kaaba or performs ‘umrah – there is no blame upon him for walking between them.
Safa and Marwah were known as the mountains of the idols Isaf and Naila. Islam is paganism in denial. Monotheism mixed with paganism is corruption. Al Lah
(The God) giving permission for Muslims to continue a harmless pagan “Jahilliyah” Sunna is hilariously self serving!
Despite assurances from Muslims that there is “nothing of idolatry” in Islam it really is quite startling how much of “jahilliyah” made it through into Islamic practice.
This is particularly so wrt the Hajj, which is largely unchanged from “the days of Jahilliyah” except that you can’t circumambulate the Kaaba in the nude any more – that’s the only major (?) difference I am aware of.
Admittedly, it’s not so amazing as the Islamic ignorance of these facts!
